I booked a private party for my daughter's 5th birthday party at Peek-a-Boo Factory…read more First, the venue is very clean. They spray down the equipment and vacuum between events. They had 3 people on staff for our party. I brought balloons, snacks, drinks, cupcakes and colorful tablecloths. I wheeled in my items from the car, dropped them off at the front with the team, and they literally did the rest. Super turn-key. The first portion is play time and then you move to the party room for snacks and cake. You can also have some snacks laid out in the front part of the play area. The party room is in the back and I had meant to go in and give them some basic set-up directions prior to us going in, but totally forgot. I ran into the room while folks were already filing in as I hadn't even viewed the room, yet, and it looked amazing! They had laid out all the snacks and drinks; they supplied plates, napkins, basic party tablecloths and a royal birthday chair and birthday banner. I didn't even have cake stands so brought a few plates from home to display the cupcakes, but they had some cute cake stands and took it upon themselves to beautifully display them! Far better than what I would have done! They even took it upon themselves to move the balloons from spot to spot as the party migrated - whatever looked the best! Then they helped pack up the leftovers and clean everything. Easy peasy. They do include 18% gratuity, but with the amount of mental load they took off my plate, it was 100% worth it. And of course, the kids loved it! The only thing I wish they had was a bit longer play time option. The kids LOVED playing and wanted more! The venue and level of service is truly exceptional! The team at Peek-a-Boo in San Francisco are true pros, with a level of customer service that totally surpassed my expectations. Thank you, Peek-a-boo Factory Team!

Located in the local & city combo vibed Geary neighborhood in San Francisco, Peek-a-Boo packs a lot into a well organized kids space. Although it has limited seating, the entry way contains some retro distraction as you wait to be let into the main play area where your party time begins - those coin operated machines from the 80's that you win a prize from when you turn the slot with 2-4 quarters. My nephew & I played two. Then as his friends and their parents started arriving, it was the official time for his party start time and so our family could walk through the locked gate into the kids world of swings, slides, climbing walls, and colorful tunnels and passageways. For an estimated 90 minutes, about 20 kids ran through the time of their lives as their parents and Auntie looked on in awe haha! A face painter was also setup on one side of that main room who painted next level and intricate animal, tribal, and celestial themed designs on some of the kids' faces while the others played. When the clock ticked to a certain time, the staff made an announcement to head towards the back party room for pizza, cupcakes, and presents. (My brother chose the food options and arranged for them to be delivered ahead of time.) The staff had setup the room perfectly, with a happy birthday banner over the cupcakes on the middle table, then little tables setup on both sides of that table with snacks, drinks, pizza, goodie bags, and long tables setup in the middle for the kiddos to sit at comfortably as they entered the room. Then the staff served them pizza. It was a sweet time - filled with laughter, smiles, birthday song, and full bellies. What a wonderful Sunday afternoon of childhood bliss!

We went on a Wednesday morning during summer break. Tickets can be purchased online or in person; we bought ours on-site and there was no line. Inside, it was busy but not overcrowded, so it was still very enjoyable. Positives: - Clean and well maintained throughout. - Indoor, multi-level space that is accessible. - Convenient food court with multiple options. - Plenty of seating areas for taking short breaks. - A wide variety of exhibits and experiences. Our favorites were the Osher Rainforest and the Steinhart Aquarium. You can easily tailor your visit to be short or long depending on your pace. There is also a lot of engaging and educational information throughout the museum. Be sure to check the daily schedule posted on-site or online to learn about special exhibits and events. Negatives: The only downside was the bánh mì from the food court, which was underwhelming. Overall, I highly recommend the California Academy of Sciences. It is a great outing, especially for families with children.

All the children had such a fun time and the parents thought the event had purpose. We had 12 kids and their parents as our guests. The new outdoor space is perfect especially during covid. Masks are still encouraged even outdoors, which made our guests feel safe. I met with Lindsay for a tour of the new location space and booked it immediately a few months prior to the party date. Lindsay was helpful with answering all my questions via email. They set up so many art and sensory stations that the kids didn't even get to do all of them. There was a good variety of different activities, something for everyone. We added an add on activity to the birthday package which was an instructor led project. Originally, my son picked potions but after Yoissy inquired about my son's interest, she came up with an intricate volcano project. She was so engaging and taught the kids/parents how to make a volcano with mixed media and then do the science experiment. It was so creative and fun! We even went over our time limit for a whole hour. Thank you Yoissy and staff for your extra time and patience with the kiddos! We also brought our own decorations and snacks/cupcakes. However, if you want to use their decorations, it's really cute if you don't have a specific theme. The staff was also super helpful the entire day. I could not be happier with how well the party went and highly recommend having a toddler's birthday here! Please note that the new location is on 1371 9th Avenue, not Judah. Parking is limited in the Inner Sunset, but it's nice that there's a loading zone in front of the Messy Art Lab.

The neighborhood is good and the kids play structures are deep enough on the lot that anyone snatching your little ones would have a long run to get to the sidewalk. This is true for the larger part of the play structures. What's not so good is that the area that's reserved for younger kids is closer to the street making it more dangerous but I guess parents hopefully are keeping a better eye on their kids when they're young enough to use this portion of the park. The openness of the park also gives a good vantage point to most parts of the playground. The table seating area is in a good location where you can see most of the play structures. The wire style tables make it so that dirt and nasty stuff doesn't easily collect on the surface which was a good design intent. Seating around the plants are plentiful making it convenient for parents to sit close by and watch their kids. The little building there can be rented out from the San Francisco Park and Rec. Prices are decent and the space in there is pretty clean. We've attend a few kid's birthday parties there. Restrooms are decent. Mid day, the tennis courts are always being used, so if you're here for that, it's probably a hit or miss. This playground has been part of my quest for find the best FPV quadcopter flying areas now that the playgrounds are mostly closed for Covid. My quad is toy grade. It's less than 250g and will probably feel like a fun-sized bag of Skittles hitting you if my quad does happen to hit someone who may also be breaking the "no-entry" rules. Propeller guards on the quad helps too. No collisions with humans so far and I do my best to keep away from people/dogs so chances of that are mostly impossible. For this purpose, the park is great. No sand and plenty of obstacles to fly around. View is nice. There's also a basketball court with plenty of room too. The fences dividing the park from its neighbors is plenty high so less chance of losing the quad outside the park. From what I've seen, no lurking neighbors other than the toddlers at the preschool next door.

There were at least 4 swings and the little clubhouse was aging. The whole park was aging. I spent most of my after schools here from 6-8th grade and stopped by here and there from 9-12th. They closed some time for a major renovation in my college years and reopened some time in 2013. The playground now is beautiful. Restructured and more sanitary. There is still a little play area for the extremely young children on the 27th ave side but the structure got moved toward the middle of the playground. There's no longer a sand lot to play in and the ground is now made of recycled material. There are 2 teeter totters (FUN!), a carousel (double FUN!), a pair of swings, a climbing area, 2 slides, a mini rock wall ( less than 5 feet up to the structure), monkey bars, and some swings for the little ones. The tennis court is still on the 28th ave side and is fenced off for safety. There's only 1.5 basketball courts so it gets busy easily. People usually don't mind sharing though. I came back with my brothers recently, we're all "twenty-somethings". We had a really good time and plan on coming back weekly for some outdoor bonding!
