I came here twice for neck pain and felt like the $30 for a half hour massage was a fair price for the quality of service. Not the best, not bad. Just enough to get the job done. My 2nd time I got the same guy as last time with the same service. I tried tipping $5 which is a litto more than 15% and he said that was too low that people tip $10 on a $30 massage. I was caught off guard. I told him that's too much. That's 33% for a half hour average massage? No private room either. So I gave $6 for 20% because he made me feel bad. I really don't care to be presumed cheap because I grew up low income & am deep in student loans so I'm a penny pincher. I was just really not happy with being haggled for $5 more. I loved my massage at dragonfly. Initially, I was hesitant after reading the negative comments about tipping. My friend had recommended this business as she frequently goes there. We booked a 2 hour massage with hot stones. It was heavenly. I did not experience the tip problem. While I was waiting for my session, another customer was just finishing. $20 for a foot massage. They will cheat you two or three minutes, i timed it numerous times haha. Either way... It's really quiet in there and they have the AC blasting so the environment is awesome. It's not just a foot massage! I like to get a foot massage primarily my calves since I suffer from noctural leg cramps (my right leg moves when i sleep every now and then so the calf muscles get tired and cramps). On events I get nocturnal leg cramps, I visit these folks and have a women rub my calves extra long. Women have softer hands so it isn't uncomfortable. The $20 foot massage sequence: 1. While your foot is soaking in warm water. They will: -rub both arms -massage the hands, crack your knuckles and do some weird thing to the fingertips -slightly massage the cranium, top of head -slight shoulder work -neck, even crack it which is nice. releasing all that air pressure. -portion of the back All this while the foot is soaking. 2. Then they cover one leg with a warm towel (and this feels soooo good)... Proceed to massage the calf, heel, soles and toes. I wear sandals a lot so getting a foot massage is also getting your foot cleaned up real nice. When they dry the toes... That's when it feels good too. I guess I am extra sensitive when someone is massaging my digits and phalanges. 3. You get up and go to a room. They massage your backside. The whole back even your ass (not the hole you sick bastards). Start at the top, smack the buttocks in nonsexual ways and end the bottom of the foot or something like this. I've had different massagers (massuesses) and each had their own way of doing things but this should give a basic idea. All this takes a bit under 60 minutes and cost $20. As for tipping, i give them $10 or $20. never gave anything more. I am known for being a generous tipper contrary to what my other reviews states. I'm just messing around in those. read more

The massage table was extremely smelly (smelled of smoke, sweat, and god knows what) and it was almost insufferable to endure. The massage itself was mediocre at best - lack of skill and a lot of it was just repetitive non-targeted motions that didn't do much anything. There was also really awkward pressing on weird spots (e.g., the ridge of the spine itself rather than the surrounding muscles) that led to discomfort not pain relief. Will not be back. I used to come to this place before Covid all the time, and it was great. The masseuses definitely have a language barrier but they always did a good job and were friendly enough. However, I just went for the first time since Covid began and I was so excited for my foot massage! However, the foot massage was just okay. The masseuse just basically repeated the same movement over and over again for 1 hour, it was definitely not as good as it used to be. And because of this, when I went to go pay I only tipped 20%. The masseuse stood there next to me and watched me punch in my tip on the credit card machine and told me that my tip was too low and it should be double what I'm tipping. I don't know about you but I do not tip 40%. I have always liked coming to this place, but I will probably not be back. There's a million other massage places that I can go to that don't hassle me. I walked in asking for a particular massage I saw they had available for a specific price on yelp, when I mentioned that to one of the massage ladies, she said "No you looked at the wrong massage place, we don't have those prices." I double checked On my phone just to make sure I didn't look at a different massage place and when I showed her that it shows I was at the correct one, she still said "No that's not correct, these are our prices" I mentioned to her that they should update it so there's no confusion and she responded rudely telling me that their prices are different now after Covid and she mentioned I could leave if I don't like their new prices. I would've still considered paying extra than what is shown on yelp but the fact that she was rude, not welcoming, didn't apologize for the confusion, and also accused me of looking up the wrong place (I had to show her that it was the correct place and even then she said that the menu wasn't updated instead of apologizing for telling me I was wrong). All this made me just want to leave and not get a massage from her. My friend and I called at 730pm for two massages at 830pm, they said they could take us so we get there and we're waiting for them to set up, then two other ladies walk in a few mins after us, saying they also had a reservation at 830pm for two people. I've only been here once and it'll also be my LAST. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My friend and I were hanging out in Brea and had sudden desires to get massages, so we just yelped a place nearby and found Dragonfly. I selected the 1 hour foot massage for $20, which included: A short foot soak, massaging of the arms, hands, legs, feet, head, temples, and the last 10-15 mins were dedicated to the neck and back areas. I liked the dim environment and the comfortable reclining chairs, but that's about it. First off, I told my masseuse that I didn't want to recline my chair all the way down 90 degrees, but it's as though he disregarded my request and just went ahead and did it. I tried lifting it back up, but he insisted that i be lying flat and then he handed me an eye mask. I agreed to just leave the chair as is, but set the eye mask aside because I didn't want to use it. A few seconds later, he took the eye mask and placed it over my eyes. I snatched it off and said I didn't want it, but he kept insisting that I use it. I was kind of irked at this point because he was trying to make all these decisions for me and all I wanted to do was to relax in peace in my own way! The masseuse wasn't very skilled in applying pressure in the right areas. I felt waves of awkward pain throughout the process and I had to tell him to ease up several times. This was the most unpleasant massage I have ever received. I still tipped $5 as a courtesy, but will definitely NOT be coming back. Later, my friend told me that while i had my eyes closed for a period of time, he caught the guy trying to peek into my purse!! I later read on yelp that people had things stolen, so I'm thankful that I didn't "lose" anything. I feel terrible for those whom have been victims of this place. So I went to the Philippines early this year and got a 2 hr. massage for $15 and since my return, I've been looking for a massage place which does not cost an arm and a leg. I have enjoyed massages from Massage Envy, Burke Williams and Glen Ivy but it can get pretty expensive and with my job requiring me to be on my feet for 12 hours a day, I needed a cheaper solution. So I yelped this place and tried it out for the first time today. Oh my oh my, I am so pleased! It was clean, professional and most of all friendly! I have never received a massage from a male therapist before, but my therapist Paul made me feel comfortable and relaxed because all the massage is done in an open space with your clothes on. For $20, I got a thorough head, neck, shoulder, back and foot massage and felt so rejuvenated. They are a new business, so the store is clean and the ambiance is very soothing. My friend who went with me had a female therapist and she was also very satisfied with her massage. It was one of the best ways to spend $20 and I am definitely recommending to all my friends to try this place out. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes (shorts recommended) because they soak your feet in the water and massage your calves too! :) *I had to change my rating from 5 stars to 4 because I went for the 2nd time yesterday and my massage was not what I expected. My boyfriend and I both got 30 minute body massages ($25 each) as a part of his 18th birthday, and both had the same experience. He had a female masseuse, and I had a male. Both his masseuse and mine were very rough-- to the point where it was painful, and I was praying for it to just be over. No amount of asking for a gentler massage helped. A day later and my shoulders and lower back are very sore, and I have an average pain tolerance. They did arms, legs, back, and neck. Back and arms hurt the most, and I don't know if this is the regular technique, but the whole experience was very painful. He ran a closed fist UP MY SPINE!!! It hurt so bad, and when he massaging my traps, I felt like I was being suffocated!!! The part that made me the most unsatisfied with my experience was their demands for a tip. Our total was $50, so I handed the cashier $60, and she gave me a $10 bill back. Before I could ask whether I leave a tip at the register, or personally to the masseuses who worked on us, she was waving my $60 in my face, saying "I give you back $10! Tip! Tip!". Take note that I was only going to leave a tip as a COURTESY, not because I felt like our "message therapists" deserved them. My boyfriend and I repeated my initial question multiple times, asking, "Yes, would you like me to leave the tip here, or do I give it to the people who worked on us?" She continued to wave the $60 in my face, demanding a tip. She then waved over a younger employee who was working on someone, and he explained to me that I "have to leave a tip". Irritated, I just handed back the lady the $10 for our tip, and she looked very confused, until I explained that it was $5 for each of the people that worked on us. Worst massage ever! LISTEN TO THE 1star reviews people !!! I get massages often and this was just not it. I honestly don't believe anyone here is licensed massage therapist. The guy who massaged me kept putting his elbows in my spine which hurt like hell and he had no sense of direction. I know everyone massage's different but after getting so many most are done properly. I asked him over 10 times during the massage not to do that and to not put so much pressure but he just kept doing it to the point I was just about to get up and be over it. Also when he massaged my neck he had his hand on the front of my throat like he was seriously choking me and i made him stop!! The only reason I didn't get up is because I brought my bf to get a massage and didn't want to ruin his. I tried to enjoy it but i couldn't. It was hand down the worst massage I've ever received. At first glance I was a little skeptical about the location. There are no private rooms each massage station is separated by curtains. The place is clean so I continued with the massage. I had a 90 minute massage which was very good. The only reason why I'm giving a three star is because when I went to tip my massage therapist the amount that I was offering to give her as a gift was not enough for her and she made it very clear that she wanted more money for her tip. I work in the service industry I have never ever experienced this before in my life nor as a service provider have I ever told a client to pay more tip than they offered me. I felt violated and completely embarrassed that this woman had the nerve to demand more money on a tip than what I was able to provide. Then she proceeded to stare me down and followed me out the door to my car when I left she stared me down as I got into my car and drove away. It was almost as if she took down my license plate number and was texting someone. Very unprofessional. I did try to reach out to her manager to express my concerns but when I called back to the facility she answered and said to her manager was not working today. Otherwise I probably would not have left a review I would've handled it with her manager. Unfortunately I did not get her name also she spoke little English it doesn't matter I don't like calling people out by their name. She will know who she is when this review has been read.
