I'm a single women and now I wished I had gotten a second quote the repairs where a fortune and when I went now to see the reviews I now see other women thought the same. That wasn't the worst part... in fixing the pipes they removed 10 Shrubs to get to the pipes and left them unplanted for 10 days and also left there tools laying in the front yard. While doing the work they broke my sprinkler system which in turn flooded the motor to my front gate and all had to be replaced. They took no responsibility of it and were very rude about the whole situation. The total cost of replacing everything was over $5000. read more

Our toilets stopped flushing, and our tub started filling up with sudsy water from cleaning dishes in the kitchen sink. Time to find a plumber! The issue turned out to be roots in the old clay piping, running 80 feet from the house, under our backyard, and to the city sewer. The options were to dig out and replace the old clay pipe, do a "pipe burst" where they pull a new pipe through the old one, or do a liner (expensive). Out of the several plumbers we contacted, Drain Kings felt the most honest, knowledgeable, and were prompt. (Some plumbers didn't even bother to call back!) They had all the necessary equipment to do the pipe burst for 65 feet, then liner for the last 15 feet, and did the entire job in one day. Our field supervisor was Nshan Kazandzhyan, and he had with him a crew of 5 people (Robert, Marco, Carlos, Nelson, and Emerson). They were here from 7:30am to 4:30pm. They were all professional and polite, and kept the working areas very clean. They laid down plastic sheets for all the dirt they dug up, and put everything back the best they could. Since they couldn't pack the dirt back down as much as it was, the extra dirt was scattered around the dirt parts of our yard and around the trees. But overall it looked like nothing even happened, but our drains worked again! They also installed a new clean-out which is accessible beyond the deck. And the contract includes a 50 year warranty on the work. Drain Kings will also come out to inspect the work for the next two years, free of charge! The new pipe is flexible, so is more likely to survive ground movement over the old clay pipe. Drain Kings was very professional, and very clean. Also, their price came in at less than half of the most expensive quote I received. If you ever need this work done, I would recommend Drain Kings in a heartbeat. Our bathroom flooded last Tuesday night along with the shower and even though we'd already put in a call to our home warranty company they could not get anyone out to our home quickly. My husband did an emergency search at 9 PM at night and found Drain Kings. They were able to come out within an hour, found our main sewer line and get everything sorted out. We are so grateful that they were able to help. Nick looked exhausted but still had such great customer service. He didn't rush through anything and made sure we were comfortable before he left. I am in escrow, selling my home, and the buyer sent a vendor for a sewer inspection and a proposal to correct any issues. They provided a video and what I thought was a crazy number to correct a gap between my drain line and the city line. I provided the video of the inspection to Drain Kings. They provided an initial estimate which was much more reasonable than the other company's but subject to confirmation once they had the opportunity to perform an inspection themselves (as opposed to only relying on what the prior company recorded). Tiago was able to come out the very next day to confirm the problems and was spot on with what was previously proposed ($) to fix the problem. While the other guys use more traditional means to access problems, Drain Kings explained to me that they've invested in newer tech to be able to make repairs that are minimally invasive (meaning less concrete broken for access, and therefore less concrete to replace). Drain Kings have been fantastic and Tiago is not only extremely knowledgeable, but the right mix of professional and personable. We are now scheduling the repair work. read more

Fantastic bunch of guys. My mainline was full of roots and these guys came out to my house at 2am on a Saturday and helped me get flowing again. Drian kings were able to dig up a section that night and repaired a section that was broken. Then while there they can a camera (imagin that a camera) into my sewer system and showed me what a poor condition my line was in and I told them to please lets get this done asap. Drain kings was beyond impressive, their technician came out today to take a look at a leaky faucet I had in the bath tub, he was just supposed to come out and give me an estimate and then we were going to schedule when the work would be done. Instead he took one look at my problem and was like "I can knock this out now if you want". 2 hours later my problem was solved. Different technician gave estimate than came to work. Repaired wrong drain. Owner made promises he didn't keep and office workers love to threaten customers. I was called and was given reason workers didn't show and then called an hour later given a completely different reason - they lie. Don't want to work with companies who lie and do not know the job they have estimated for. Lots of other issues with their work, but that's a different review altogether. read more

One of those rare cases where I'd give 10 stars if it was available. Monday afternoon I learned that I am having issues with my sewer line backing up. I called Drain Kings at around 3:30 in the afternoon hoping that they can send someone the next day. The lady on the phone got my address information and the nature of the problem and said that someone can be there within 15-30 minutes. Wow!!! About 20 minutes later, two guys, Mike and Tracy showed up at my door. Very professional, clean, respectful. Withing few minutes they determined what the problem was, used a camera to pinpoint the exact location (actually found roots blocking the pipe in several locations). They cleaned the immediate problem and gave me several options on how to address it long term. They came back the next day exactly as scheduled and did all the necessary work. Opinion is would never work w/ them again. Apprears MIA ownership. Crew (Fernando & John) flout COVID rules - when requested to wear masks unhinged and abusive, emotional outbursts from Supervisor despite us informing Drain Kings had a Covid positive event at our house w/ other worker. Day requested masks approx. 20,000+ cases in LA. Job started approx. Nov 22nd - not finished as of January 14th. During work DK stripped and damaged tub drain when snaked. Chipped tub w/ snake. Plumber tried to have me do the work to locate replacement part DK damaged. Left w/ ripped up bathroom with yellow hazard police tape for WEEKS despite DK having bid $7000 for the job. Charged for video of plumbing; did not send the video or photos of blockage as committed - still waiting on this where is it? After opening ceiling, site left a complete mess - large sheet drywall blocking emergency exit stairs, did not clean up after work in basement, did not shop vac or do normal cleanup - cast iron shards everywhere including over boiler and did not re-assemble site. December 14th tried to come to the house without having addressed the damaged part and hazard tape tub, or mess in basement. After making appointments did not arrive, saying another job "did not pass inspection." Tried to get full payment without finishing job saying "office was furious at him" (Owner threatening sup?). Showed up with finish plumber part which did not fit. After month of the yellow tape bathroom, DK made me hunt down part from their damage. Part did not fit. Requested Drain Kings check with Snyder Diamond - first stop in town for finish plumbing. Snyder Diamond referred plumber to Findlays Machine Shop, a place which made part in an hour. Did not show up for appointment for days. On installation, DK did not re-attach the broken tub stop. Still broken (photo). Prior to working, DK did not pull permits or want inspections: "we don't have the city inspect if you don't need to." Plumbing pipes supported with old blocks (see photos) vs. strapping. DK chasing payment but apparently unconcerned about leaving a bathroom inoperable for weeks with yellow hazard tape or finishing professionally/responsibly. Drain Kings then bid work of drywall and painters. Assigned plumbers not painters to do finish work - workers appeared dishonest, manipulating, didn't want to wear masks. Many conversations w/ AWOL supervisor re: crooked ceiling to wall line (photo) and painting over brick. Sup. not on job, did not show up to check work end of day. Leading up to end of day politely requested workers clean up before leaving (why didn't they drape to begin with?), offered broom or whatever else needed. Workers had left site a mess before. Today DK workers said "No, they had it under control and had everything they needed and would clean up prior to leaving for the night." Disappeared off site like before, leaving mess, large piece of drywall blocking emergency stairs, everything including lunch receipt littered on front steps. When called office requesting to speak to owner due to the work (crooked lines, drips and mess on concrete due to no draping, paint all over brick see photos), staff apparently lied directly. Not the first time this team lied directly - profanity and racial slurs? - forgetting there were multiple witnesses on site. Lies when queried about not doing basic work proof is in mess remaining. Yellow hazard tape for weeks, missing supervision, abusive owner & do not appear to care less about COVID laws or the LA County requirements for business. Just hung up w/ Tiago Alkana, owner of Company. Call started w/ TA stating "I've got so many companies I run I am not involved in the day to day management." Who is? Supervisor John said owner said he would "sue me" if I didn't take down above Yelp post. Owner then swore up and down that he never said that - but in call, all Tiago wanted was for me to take down this post. Tiago threatened me throughout call. Owner asked what we wanted and we said very simple: send someone now to clean up mess left by workers which should have been done before end of day & remove your items from site, including drywall, which has been blocking our stairwell for months. All we wanted to begin w/: professional responsible supervision and management of $7,000 job. Overtime required would have been pennies compared to $2000 remaining to finish, but Mr. Tiago did not care about this and would not focus on client answers to his question of what we wanted. Alkana then threatened, yelled at me, was racist saying "he came from a tough Jewish family in Pasadena who were attorneys" & lost it, screaming and yelling -- all only about this post. He gets 5 stars for the way he does his job. But, character counts just as much. In the course of the job someone hit the side of my car with a tool. Drain kings revamped my drainage system with all new up to code pipe design. The redesign included my 2 baths, kitchen, and laundry room. What started out as a small bubble on the ceiling - ended up being a significant slow leak from an obstructed pipe resulting in extensive damage to the ceiling, walls and flooring.
