Not only did Drainmasters steal money from my mother-in-law by charging her for working on the wrong drain line (they failed to LOCATE and fix the kitchen drain line and didn't offer any refund or portion of one), now Drainassturds stole the pictures I posted for this review and posted them for their business on YELP, as if THEY did the repairs in the photos. For clarification, DM did not do any repair work to fix the kitchen drain line and all photos of the kitchen line were of REPAIRS DONE by a DIFFERENT plumber after Drain Masters FAILED to locate the kitchen drain line. I called this morning asking for a quote to install a wall heater in my 75 year home that was freezing according to my wife . I spoke with owner and he said he and his crew were busy but he had one of his best guys finishing a job and would send him over. Rafael showed up a few hours later ( yes same day ) looked at job gave me a quote and installed my wall heater for me . All in a matter of a few hours . Our kitchen drain backed up again. I called Drain Masters of Oxnard as they had done work for us a few years back. They were able to come out the same day and unclog the sink. From the beginning, all four workers that serviced our plumbing needs were considerate, clean and polite. They were very accommodating to our schedule and needs. They worked over the weekend to complete on time and on budget a difficult 2" drain replacement. I think I was overpriced for $515.00. They started out with a free estimate. then said that it would be $225 because they had to go on the roof to flush/snake and then said that they needed to use a special camera they said the plumbing was not done right and they had to 'pop' the toilet for another 275$ .. they also busted my compost bin in the yard and left green gloves. There was just a clog I don't see why it cost this much. the guy was nice It was on a Holiday weekend and he did stay until dark to finish working so that our pipes were not clogged and I thank him for that. PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY. When two employees came to my house allegedly to clear the main sewer line, I was nervous about signing the contract a second time, so one employee stood in the doorway and blocked my ability to escape while another employee backed me up against a wall while standing an inch from me so I could not move; threatened me that I better sign the contract; and forced me to sign a contract under protest, which I wrote on the contract, even though I was not given the chance to review the contract or the work they claimed to have done that day but did not. Then, when I tried to take what I was told was my copy of the contract from the clipboard it was attached to, the employee, without asking for the contract back, balled up his fists and moved them toward me and I really thought I was going to be hit. The employee then suddenly pulled clipboard with the contract out of my hands so hard that the invoice ripped and I lost my balance and had to step back and to the side to stop myself from falling. It was very terrifying since I was in my own home and the only people around were the two employees who were both much bigger than me. It started when I called them to clean out a main sewer line. While there, the employees said I had roots in my main sewer line and I needed to have the main line hydrojetted. (As it turned out, there were no roots in the main line according to another plumber.) The employees kept trying to tell me that I needed things I actually did not need. For example, they said I needed a new toilet that was already relatively new. They said I needed a new drain pipe that would cost $6,000.00 before I asked a lot of questions, after which they finally said I did not need a new drain pipe. I had signed the contract for a first time when they told me what needed to be done. Though I did pay them, I told them I did not want to sign the written contract a second time due to the things they said to me. That is when they threatened me and corned me against a wall and forced me to sign the contract under protest. As it turned out, they did not clear out the main sewer line. I ended up having to hire another company to come to and actually clear out the main sewer line. When I called the police, they said it was not a criminal matter but a civil matter and I could go to court. Please beware. read more

So I contacted Baltazar Jr, whom I knew from past experience was trustworthy. He came to check on the problem that night and performed hydro-jetting of the line early the next morning. He removed the roots and cleaned the entire 100 ft line within an hour, using his camera multiple times. This family-run business can be trusted to complete the job correctly as they have many years of experience and portray ethical standards. We needed to have a leaking toilet repaired. Drain Masters cam out when they said they would. Their tech Guy took a look at the toilet and wasn't sure that it could be repaired, but tried to anyway. In the end we had to have it replaced, but through the whole process Guy kept us informed and did exactly what he said he would. The service man came out on time to check for blockage in our kitchen sink. The service man said that he ran the line and cleared it. In a few days the water started to go down very slowly. About 10 days later I called and said that it couldn't have gotten clogged again so quickly. They sent out the same technician who admitted that he didn't run the cable as he thought it was an issue with our dishwasher. So he ran it then and said it was "greasy" and he couldn't clear it without some more expensive process. At this point we did not trust this company. We called in another plumber who cleared the line immediately and things are now running smoothly. I would not recommend this company read more

I had drain masters (Balta) come and install a "whole house" filtration system. The instillation was done in about an hour and it looks like a work of art. Balta even left the area in the garage cleaner then what it was before. The pricing from DM was reasonable than a previous quote I received. Drain Masters beat the next quote by almost $150!! I should have expected issues when the tech needed to check with his boss about honoring the $49 drain cleaning service and he wanted to know where I had heard about that price. Its advertised on the website and plastered all over your van! Once that was worked out we had to up the level of service to pressure jet for the cleaning since snaking didnt work. $49 first and now $250 for that service. Drain was only clear for 6 days and then they wanted an additional $550 for a longer jetting duration. What about the 7 day warranty? They did not honor it. Very poor service! A guy came out to check on my grandmas house charged her $89 than he did a poor job he said that it wasn't a plumbing problem it was the fire sprinkler so we had to call someone else well that that guy came out he said he would do a free estimate than cuts the holes bigger in ceiling and says it's a plumbing problem basically he did what the plumbers job was. So he said it would be fair if she payed him $89 because he pretty much did the other guys job. So he has my grandma call the plumbing place back to give a complaint the boss was so rude than the sprinkler guy got on the phone with him the plumbing people were suppose to give my grandma her money back and the other guy wasn't suppose to cash the check until my grandma got her money back from the plumbing. But they both took her money and top it off the stupid plumber guy came back the next day and charged my grandma almost $900 to fix the plumbing. Wtf at that very sloppy job.
