Pros: Spacious, well-maintained park with a walkway, small and large dog area, water feature and agility obstacles. There are always tennis balls and poop bags. There is a hose at exit so dogs can be rinsed off if needed. Clean water bowls are available by the hose. Convenient hooks to hang leashes by entrance. Lots of regulars visit on the weekdays and there are plenty of dog friends for my dogs. Cons: Too many unruly young children in the park; climbing on agility equipment like it's a playground. Dogs can't use it because the children always playing on it. They will even start climbing all over it while I'm training my dog on the equipment and almost getting knocked over by the dogs. They waive toys and sticks around not being aware a dog could see this as an invitation to play, creating a situation they may get them knocked over and/or accidentally bit or scraped. There are always many little dogs (about 10 pounds and under) in the large dog area despite having an available small dog area. This puts the little dogs at risk of being injured by large dogs and unfair to large dog owners trying to enjoy the park. Most of these little dogs are intimidated by large dogs and are very reactive; barking, snarling, at snapping at them. Fairly frequently dogs who exhibit aggressive tendencies are brought to the park. This seems to happen mostly on the weekends and the people and dogs are not park regulars. Today someone brought a Great Dane who was obviously dog aggressive/reactive. It was snarling, lunging, and barking in the entry pen. Despite acting like this the dog was brought in the park. At least they kept it on a leash but it would lunge and snap at dogs who approached it and wasn't muzzled. Disaster waiting to happen. Overall: it's a lovely park, I love playing with my dog here and she has lots of fun. Unfortunately, too many inconsiderate people visit with their young children or dogs unsuited for the park environment which makes it hard to enjoy. Many times I cut my visit short because I become very uncomfortable with dogs, people, and situations happening at the park.

Having just recently moved to Utah, I wanted to find a nearby dog park for my furry friend. Draper City Dog park fits the bill nicely. It's reasonably spacious and fenced off for safety. There's doggy poo bag stations all over the perimeter for convenience. So far my dog seems to love it there on the handful of occasions that we have visited.

I've never been to this dog park before but I had a great first impression. My dog loved playing in the water and it is big enough to social distance. The only negative thing I would say is people need to clean up after their dog. There are garbage cans and poop bag stations throughout the park. They also have section inside the park that's closed off from the other dogs so you can play fetch. There is also another closed off area just for smaller dogs.

Not sure why the star rating is so low, but I love this dog park! I've only been here twice though. Lots of space, paved walk way, parking, separated areas, doggy fountain, and pretty well kept. I took my 2 dogs here and they loved it. The only downside is that the main area is sand, gravel and mud. But they have a separate area with all grass. There is also a tiny stream of water that runs through the park so you may want to bring a towel.

While driving through Utah with our dogs, we were looking for a good place for the pups to get out and stretch their legs. The Park was easy to find, well kept and as clean as any dog park we've visited. There are multiple areas for the dogs to run off leash, gazebos with benches for the owners, water fountains and a stream. Wish our local dog park was as cool!

Best dog park I've been to yet in SLC. Lots of room for the dogs to play, there's always a good amount of dogs, a little stream.

Wonderful dog park with little stream running through and a running track. Not sure why the reviews aren't higher!

LOVE THIS PARK. I take my pup here almost everyday and he never gets sick of it. Always at least one other dog there your pup can play with.

So the way I might judge a park is different than if the pups do....and since this is a dog park, I'll write the review from their standpoint...if they could write. As soon as mom drives up the street, I immediately recognize where we are and start whining with excitement. I remember playing here and have been so excited to return. She pulls into the parking lot (which can get crowded at peak times, but we go early in the morning and it's A-OK). I can hardly contain my excitement as we get to the gate. Inside, there is so much room to run! I especially love the stream down at the bottom, although there are signs warning the people about the potential for disease from the water. But I don't care-I jump right in. Along the perimeter, there's a walking path that mom walks along and I loosely follow. I guess she likes that she can keep an eye on me while I can also run free. There's are other areas that are separate-a small dog section and another gated area if some dogs want privacy. Kind of nesting play areas, if you will. There are signs all around reminding people to pick up poop, along with bags to help with the icky task. They are kind of passive aggressive- they basically say "don't come here if you can't pick up after your dog." I get the point, but the tone is a little strange and unwelcoming. There is a lot of native vegetation and plants. Some of them can be a little prickly and get stuck in my fur-so mom always checks to get foxtails out when we go home. Of all the parks that mom takes me to, this one is two paws up and pretty dog-gone great. I love the space to run and the water to play in.

It's not the closest to home (for us) but it is in a rather convenient location in Sandy near lots of residences, so it gets lots of love. There's a dedicated parking lot a short walk away from the entrance to the park. In fact, there are two separate areas-perhaps to segregate the large and small dogs. But the day I went, the park nearer to the parking lot was chained off. It's not uncommon to see that when the turf needs time to breath, but that area had no grass. So I'm not sure why it was closed. The side that was open was plenty large. There's a track that circles the park, with a play area on either side. Our dogs prefer to walk with us, venturing off the path to chase an interesting scent or to claim a tree as their own. Plenty of other dogs were chasing balls or each other in the middle area. It's so cute! Can I pet that dog? And that one? I appreciate that there is seating along the path for people to take a break. Benches or seats near trees where there is shade is ideal and they have a few of those.

It's gated so most people hang their dogs leashes up on the fence area before entering that way their animals can roam free. It gets hot but there is some shade and some picnic tables so people can meet up for doggy dates or picnics in the afternoon or evening. It stays open pretty late with the days being longer now that it is summer. It's a wonderful dog park with lovely dogs who are all usually fun, friendly, and safe dogs for everyone to interact with.

There are trash cans available in the parking lot. DOGS ARE ALLOWED, but must be on leash. There are poo bags available for dog owners. The park has a paved 2-way walking/biking trail. It looks like a mini road. As you walk along the paved trail, you can see the Old Mill. It is fenced off to the public, but you can get an overall look of the whole place. The trail is pretty short and at the end of it, you reach the road and a residence area. The bridge near the parking lot over-looks a huge gaping hole. When I visited the park, the whole area was dry, but I have a feeling it should be filled with water. There were signs about being careful in the water, also there were a couple lost water toys in the mass of stones. I enjoyed this park, but I do wish the trail was longer. I have a feeling the huge river/reservoir and the Old Mill are the main attractions of the park, but there is no water in the huge hole at the moment and the Old Mill is fenced off, so there isn't much to do. Without the reservoir filled, I don't think a long drive to the park would be worth it, but I only live 5 minutes away from the park, so I didn't mind it. I would come back again because it's convenient and a bit more interesting than other parks that only have playgrounds and grass fields.

The first amazing surprise is there was no entry fee! We entered the garden and quickly ran into another surprise- a human-sized chess board! My boys wanted to play a game against each other...didn't know it was going to take 45mins...but it was fun to sit and watch and listen to the birds chirping. We then continued our tour around the grounds and saw many wonderful plants, trees, bushes, flowers and more. The grounds are beautifully manicured! There some educational areas where you can learn more about irrigation, landscaping and design. To walk around the garden takes about 30mins, but we spent 1.5hrs here as we took a lot of pictures and asked some questions from the workers. The workers and volunteers were very gracious to answer our questions and teach us more about the garden. You can tell they love their job and they love visitors. At the end of the tour, I made sure to drop a little cash in their donation box. Thanks Conservation Garden Park for the great time!

We stopped in here to take some casual iPhone photos as a family since we don't see eachother everyday. Plenty of parking, plenty of open grass to run and play in, and it's right off Bangerter Highway--if you keep driving the windy road, you'll end up in Highland/Lehi area and that's beautiful too. I haven't seen any drinking fountains near the courts, but that's not to say they're not near the pavilions or park equipment--but I'd rather be safe than sorry and pack some extra water bottles.
