This Beverly's Crafts is well-stocked with plenty of fabric choices, lots of art supplies, and plenty of craft supplies and ideas. While I came for the quilting cotton, I left with a completely different find... I purchased several yards of ripstop nylon for a future DIY stuff sack or lightweight outdoor pouch. The store is so, so large but honestly impressively organized, even with *huge* rolls of fabric everywhere. I loved that they have a public restroom (always a plus when fabric shopping turns into fabric hunting). The prices were excellent and the staff was helpful. First of all, the seamstress tells me, "I made a little mistake on your quilt." SHE CUT OFF THE WHOLE BOTTOM BORDER! In addition, if you look closely you can see the quilting goes INTO the border. So, I had to hand-remove the invaiding stitches, and then remove the excess batthing. The other quilt (floral) has the same border problem so I will have to painstakingly remove stitches again. On top of this I was charged $238 for these two quilts, and she did not even offer me a discount for her mistake. I will never go back.

I was hoping to take my time looking and picking out fabric but ended up only grabbing a zipper before needing to move on...and I still wasn't able to use the restroom before leaving. In spite of how quiet it was in the store, the woman who runs/owns (I'm not sure which) it could hardly give me the time of day. She practically answered my questions with a grunt. When I asked for clarification, she gave me the same answer. She could barely pick her head up from a piece of paper she was writing on. There was a man working there who helped me get some yarn out of a container, but he was not a knitter and could not answer any questions. He was extremely nice and I found myself hoping that he was not her husband. They have a large selection of good quality yarns, which is a positive (hence the three stars), but so do lots of other places. Their prices are the same as everywhere else. I do not plan to return there, although it is conveniently located for me.

The selection of yarn here is incredible, and the owner also makes all her own samples. They stock Addi as their primary metal needles as well as bamboo (I think Clover?). It's a small shop with a ton of inventory, so it is a little cramped, but the extreme upside is you will definitely find something that calls your name. They have a lovely selection of pattern books as well, but they are a bit dated (Debbie Bliss, Nicky Epstein). Come and support this local small business!!
