There's a reason why I've never stopped going here for all of my cars & the same goes for my parents. This place has become my family's go-to mechanic as my grandma also goes here now after we recommended she take the over 30-year old car with over 200,000 miles on it here as she refused to give up on getting it fixed. My grandma's previous mechanic failed/refused to repair it but United Auto took on the beast of a job & got it done. The owner Teddy even towed her car from her house to their shop & back for free whenever a new issue occurred while she's at home or work rather than her taking it over herself & getting a ride as she's the only driver in her household; also giving her discounts throughout the process. They also replaced an entire engine in my Mom's car. The team at United Auto Repair do a wonderful job on all of my family's different types & ages of cars. They are genuinely good people that make me feel like I'm not being ripped off as their prices seem reasonable to me; a person who is sort of a car-fanatic. I feel like my cars are in good hands in their care & my family & I will continue to recommend them to our family & friends the same way I'm recommending them to the reader of this lengthy feedback.

Big shout out to the owner, Jack!…read more In spite of it being a very hot day & a stubborn bulb, Jack took the extra time to change a low-beam headlight for a disabled senior. The asst. manager at Auto Zone on Main St. advised we'd purchased the wrong bulb, got us the right one & tried to change it out. It wouldn't come out, so she referred us to Jack's Transmission. Jack too had to work at figuring out how to get this thing out, but he did get it changed & only charged a nominal price for it. All this after the local Midas had both quoted an overcharged amount for the bulb (almost double) AND $360 in labor! An obvious & obscene way to try to take advantage of a disabled senior! All told, between the local AutoZone & Jacks Transmission, they saved this senior with health concerns, over $400!!! Thank you, Jack! It's nice to have located an honorable mechanic, with fair pricing!

I went to my dealership to get an oil change and they told me I needed an additional repair (sway…read morebar links). The price the dealership quoted me seemed high so I went to Golden State Transmission and got a free estimate. It was nearly half what the dealership quoted me! They did an inspection and performed the repair very quickly. The service consultants I spoke to were both incredibly helpful and clearly explained their thoughts about whether the service was even necessary. I found Golden State to be much more trustworthy than the dealership and I'll definitely be returning for routine maintenance in the future.
