This is one of my local Laundromats and I recently saw that they posted a free pickup and delivery sign. So, instead of doing my laundry there on a hot summer day, I decided to take advantage of this deal. However, I soon found out that they do charge $1.75 extra for pick up and delivery. They wanted to charge me an additional $1.50 for drop off, which didn't seem to make any sense since I brought it there myself. In any case, it's not about the money. It's about the principle. I don't like being shook down for any amount of money. They also don't pick up their phone so I hope I'm able to get in touch with them when my laundry is done. I'll be happy to change my review if their customer service improves. read more

The machines are fine...actually my fave in the neighborhood. The main issue is how hot the place becomes. The front is all glass - and the ceiling fans barely move. The last time I went - it was so hot one couldn't stand in the front area, so customers were all crowded in the back. I would suggest the owners add blinds or curtains in the front and fix the ceiling fans. For your employees and customers. read more

This laundromat has by-far the worst customer service of any laundromat I have ever done business with. They are never helpful, ever. I have always been treated as a nuisance. I just today witnessed their 5-star customer service with another customer who needed make change to use their machines and was refused. If you only take cash, you have to help your customers break bills to use your damn machines! The clerk then proceeded to open a huge bin of bills when I went to pay. She clearly could have helped this other customer. In the end its for their benefit since they get the coins back from the machines, it makes no sense to not break bills! The breaking point for me is the gas-lighting around using cards to pay for laundry. I have absolutely used a card to pay for laundry in the past but now they tell me they never accepted cards. This despite the fact that they have a card reader that they still use to print tickets. The card reader is permanently attached to the front of the damn terminal. I even recall when I told my partner gleefully I had finally found a laundromat that takes cards. I hope they learn to appreciate their customers and stop treating them like pests. read more

This place is gross. The laundromat itself is dirty, the machines are often broken, prices went up, AND IT SMELLS LIKE SEWAGE IN THE BACK BY THE COIN MACHINES! I don't even want to think about that dirty water making it's way into the machines, onto my clothes. It was nauseating the other day. From now on I'll be going up to the place on Smith and 1st. DO NOT DO WASH-DRY-FOLD HERE. THE SCALE IS NOT ACCURATE. THEY ARE RIPPING YOU OFF. I only came to this laundromat bc KT Laundry (which is awesome) was closed for Chinese New Year. When I put my hamper on the scale it read 34 lbs, which seemed too high to me so I told them never mind. The very next day I took the exact same hamper to KT and it weighed in at 30 lbs. This place is enough to get the job done. I've only done my own laundry so I cannot vouch for the drop off service but they seem to do a good job from my observation. This isn't a place the you want to sit inside of while your laundry is spinning round and round. It is a very tight squeeze down the aisle between machines with the little carts that they provide. Usually most of the machines are working but the last time I was there a lot of the dryers were down. None the less, it's good enough (and the closest place for me) that I will go here every time. The employees are nice enough if you actually end up exchanging words or asking a question. I wouldn't suggest going here if you live closer to another place unless their drop off service is wonderful (which it may be). Honestly there seem to be a few crazies that use the place regularly but maybe that was just a coincidence. read more

I have dropped off my laundry for wash & fold about once a week since I moved here and am very pleased with the service. It is affordable and the hours are extremely convenient for my busy work schedule (can drop-off early in the morning and pick-up well into the evening) and drop-off and pick-up are efficient. My laundry is always done the same day, and I've been pleased with the cleanliness of clothes, towels, sheets, etc. The women who work here provide great customer service and know my partner and me by name, which always makes me smile! read more

Don't go here for drop off service. I have been using their drop off service for 6 months or so. It was fine at first, but in the last two months I have notice a drastic shift in the quality of my laundry upon return. Firstly, they lost/stole/misplaced 5 articles of my clothing, 4 of which were brand new. When I contacted the owner about it he accused his staff of stealing, and told me he would contact me again to resolve the issue. I haven't heard from him since. As the process was going on, I thought maybe it was a fluke, but on the one laundry run since then, they've managed to ruin a couple of my white shirts by washing them with colors. Rookie stuff. They also can't match my socks what-so-ever. I've lost hundreds of dollars in clothes going here. read more

This is a terrible business with horrible customer service. Recently when I was in, the washer didn't wash my clothes after I put in my money. Upon discovering this I asked for help from an employee and she insisted it was my fault and refused to give my change back. In addition, their change machines rarely work and when asked for change, employees will often give you a hassle. Machines are regularly out of order and door to business is broken. Do not use this service, go to K T Laundry down the street. read more

This place sucks but it's open later than others and it's convenient. Use baking soda or your clothes will smell mildewy and be careful I've run out for 15 minutes while my clothes were drying and come back to find all my pants were stolen. I forgot a couple of towels last night and went back today just to find they were long gone. Once I was there and this woman left for a few minutes and when she came back EVERYTHING she had drying was stolen. Use at your own risk. read more

I went on a Tuesday morning when it shouldn't be that crowded so that I could get a machine easily. It wasn't crowded but all the machines were taken up by the staff doing drop off business. Seems to me you shouldn't take all the machines if you call yourself a self service operation too. I also think the hot water is only for a teeny tiny portion of the wash cycle. They upped the price of the new dryers by making the spin cycle time for a quarter so short as to be ridiculous. I think 4 minutes. The older machines have longer cycles for your quarter. So you're forced in a way to use those. A few times the staff said they didn't have change. Seriously, you're a freaking laundromat! Also, what's with the stacking of all the carts right by the folding table?? I don't want to move furniture around just to get to the folding table. At least two of the machines are located in undesirable place so as to make it cumbersome to put your items in and out of it. I don't want to pay to be inconvenienced in that way. The owner of the premises, at least I assume it's the owner seems to be very hands off until it's time to collect the money from the machines that is. I've seen an individual come do so and leave within 5 minutes or so. You'd think the owner would try to make customers content, maybe even try improving customer service. I mean it's Carroll Gardens, a place with some neighborly feel to it. Not feeling I get. read more

I would strongly recommend against coming here for drop off service. Like the other reviewer, the laundromat lost my clothes and refused to resolve the situation. After some hurdles, I eventually was able to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was rude, dismissive, and refused to reimburse me for the loss or compromise. Instead of trying to be helpful, she suggested that I was trying to rip off the laundromat and that I was lying about the clothes I had lost. The fact that I had been a loyal customer for years did not save me from rude treatment. There are lots of other laundromats in the neighborhood--don't waste your money here. read more
