Connected to Italian Eatery is this ice cream shop. They actually have a heated tent connected to their shop, so you'll have to enter via the tent. The small dining room was closed when we were there. Good size room, Tables and chairs to dine in and heated lamps above. I ordered a kiddy scoop of pandan ice cream to try since I was full from dinner. My cousins ordered the dream burgers for their kids. We ordered at the window and pay, once your order is ready they will call out your number.

Finally tried the smash burgers here! Service was excellent! The staff were so nice. They let us try almost every sample of ice cream they had! The indoor/outdoor patio was cozy and still warm! We tried the chicken sandwich, double smash burger, and their signature hot dog! Their signature sauce had a bit of kick to it I was expecting but everything was really yummy! The spicy bbq for the chicken sandwich wasn't too spicy either and paired well! The fries were so crunchy and yummy. Parking was a little difficult as it was a busy Tuesday night. We parked across the street. Wasn't a long wait for food and the ice creams were so good!

    Double smash cheeseburger

I was super excited to try the smash burger and was very disappointed. Me my husband and son ate here and we all love a good smash burger. Spent $70 on burgers, fries, onion rings and malts. I had a chocolate malt disappointed way too chocolatey. The burgers were horrible! It was the driest smash burger I've ever had. A double cheeseburger from Burger King taste better than this burger. Maybe it was the cook but I'll never go back to find out.

It is by far the most aesthetically pleasing ice cream shop in the Twin Cities-I felt like I was transported to a little charming corner of Europe. The staff were warm and friendly, and patiently offered samples to my indecisive friend and I. I don't recall seeing any seating inside the shop, but we were able to easily find a spot in the patio space (which does fill up pretty fast). We tried the Sonny Bai (pistachio ice cream) and Blackberry Sorbet, both whose quality in authenticity and flavor left nothing to be desired! Looks like I've found my go to spot for the rest of the summer!

Sonny was always there, and always made everything better. I don't remember how we said "the vibes are good" in the 1900s, but the vibes were so very good at the turn of the last century. I moved out of the neighborhood, but still tried to get back as often as possible. I am so very glad Sonny's is up and running. The Ice Cream seems less ice cream like than it used to, and more gelato like. That's fine, but it's noticeable. The prices are a little higher than comparable places, but that's ok too. But the vibes are just off.

Seems like they had a lot to offer outside of ice cream and I'd love to try more things from here another time. I got the sweet potato as well as the honeydew ice cream and as someone who likes trying less common flavors I was very excited about how many options I had. Both were amazing and full of flavor - they also had many flavors that were more traditional for those who don't like to venture out as much.

Had it been in a cup I could have definitely shared it with someone else. The flavor was Red Velvet. With a about 16 ice creams in the case, they let you try samples, and after trying that one (my second) I was sold! While it doesn't have the tang that red Velvet cake has (yes the cake, not just the frosting) I really enjoyed it. The texture was very pleasant. You get the creamy ice cream, with the mixed in cake, and bits of mini chocolate chips in each bite. Yum!!! Aside from the ice cream case, they also had a cooler with ice cream sandwiches, and several flavors of pint sized ice cream. Some of those flavors weren't even in the case (like a cinnamon toast crunch one). There were several tables indoors and outside so seating wasn't an issue. The only thing that could be is parking don't let that deter you. I look forward to returning for another flavor.

We drove all the way from Victoria, MN, through rush-hour traffic--and would gladly do it again. What truly sets Pumphouse apart is its commitment to fresh, local ingredients and incredibly creative flavors. The seasonal rhubarb ice cream was unforgettable: perfectly balanced, fresh, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical ice cream shop. The experience went beyond the ice cream itself. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun, making us feel less like customers and more like neighborhood regulars. We're already planning another trip back to stock up on pints before the seasonal flavors disappear.

They make truly amazing ice cream using local milk and high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the richness in every flavor. The rotating menu keeps things exciting, but they always keep a few fan favorites. The flights are one of my favorite things to get. They're mini scoops, which makes it so fun to try different flavors without committing to just one. My top picks are the caramelized white chocolate, the sea salt caramel pecan, and the salted honey. All three are incredible. You can also grab pints to go, and the prices are super reasonable. A five-scoop flight for $6 is such a steal. Pump House is always worth the stop, and easily one of the best ice cream shops in the Twin Cities.
