Had a lovely lunch/brunch. Came at 10:30 so ordered the rhubarb French toast as a starter while we waited for the lunch menu to start since I wanted a burger. Service was friendly and prompt, and the space was lovely.

A lovely place for breakfast with some really yummy food! For breakfast we did not need a reservation but it did fill up around 9:30-10am. I'm a huge fan of the breakfast burrito that is succulent, soft and has a nice subtle flavor of pork and a pop of flavor with the salsa. My friend said they loved the french toast. Service was prompt and not over bearing.

An insanely tasty burger, duck fat fries and an amazing Mezcal cocktail. Bartender lady was super nice and attentive.

This place is pretty top notch. First experience was a little frustrating as the young hostess was snooty about the walk in situation. The second time we reserved and the same lady tried to put us at the crappy tables by the door... I'm a POC so im used to this. Just asked to be placed at a nicer table. The food is absolutely divine! I've had a ton of beef tartar and this was easily the best I've ever had. Mussels were crazy good. Cocktails are thoughtful and creative. Service was good each time I've been after. Burger is one the city's best. Really a great spot!

I really like Lynette. It has quickly become one of my go to breakfast/lunch places when I'm in a pinch or looking for a reliable place to eat. Parking is limited to the street, but I've never had to walk more than half a block. Food wise, I love the harvest danish (though all of the their pastries are good and I believe are made in house? Someone correct me if I'm wrong). The breakfast sandwich is also stellar. Service wise, this place has been great 9 times out of 10. I had a long wait for food once on a weekend, but oh well. Not that big of a deal. They have a large patio for the summer which is lovely -- as is the interior -- love the large booths!

Returned to Lynette for brunch following a not so pleasant first experience this summer where I felt compelled to address and did in my initial review. Following that review I was contacted by the GM and offered a chance to return with a complimentary gift card. Today,I finally returned to use said gift card and to enjoy a nice neighborhood brunch with my family. Contrary to my previous visit we were pleasantly welcomed and led right to our table. Our server Austin was relaxed but attentive and wasn't afraid to give his opinion on the brunch menu (which is always welcomed by me). It was also lovely to see that the staff had become more diverse since my first visit there. Service this time around felt more like a team working together to ensure a great experience is had by all. And Billie who appeared to be a manager was a breath of fresh air and stepped in when Austin was busy with the other tables in our seating area. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food but agreed we would want it seasoned more generously. Missed pictures of our apps that included the kale salad with peanut vinaigrette, duck fat fries and the Japanese tempura shrimp - favs of those were the duck fat fries w aioli and the tempura shrimp! We also got the dishes pictured below. Very enjoyable and delicious! We live in the neighborhood and hope they dial the seasoning up some but definitely plan to return!

Brought my mom to brunch while she was in town and sat at the bar. The service was a little slow, but the food made up for it. I had a latte and the avocado toast and my mom had the traditional breakfast. The avocado toast was unique and tasty - but pretty small. My mom enjoyed her breakfast - most notably the bacon and toast. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned very well. The overall ambience is very cute inside. I have and would go back to try more items and to go for dinner.

I went to Lynette in Minneapolis for a She's Invited brunch event, and it was such a fun and memorable experience. The vibe was stylish but comfortable, and our server Wayne made it even better ,he had fantastic recommendations and a fun, bubbly personality that really elevated the brunch. The drinks were a highlight the dirty martini was delicious and perfectly curated, with blue cheese stuffed olives that were the perfect touch. I also tried the Aperol Spritz, which was just okay compared to the martini, but still refreshing. For food, I had the avocado toast with over easy eggs. The flavors were great and the eggs were cooked perfectly, but the avocados weren't quite ripe enough, which threw off the texture a bit. Even so, the dish was still super tasty and satisfying. Overall, Lynette is a gem in Minneapolis between the excellent brunch cocktails, flavorful dishes, and Wayne's amazing service, I'd definitely come back (especially for that martini!).

Lynette has the perfect vibe for a neighbor restaurant. It is casual enough that families with young kids, groups of friends, and couples having a date night all feel welcome. The menu was interesting, there are a large variety of cuisines represented across the dishes. Our meal ranged from Japanese inspired brussel sprouts to French inspired steamed mussels. The dishes were prepared well and and were all tasty. The server seemed busy, but did a good job coursing out our menu and checking in when they could. The soft serve ice cream cones for dessert were a fun touch!

A good place to have some good food and drinks with friends or family. Service was a bit slow as they were full but it's worth the wait as long as you're not in a hurry. They have indoor and outdoor seating, street parking, and a flower or plant store across the street. A good place with a nice modern interior for casual dining.

With easy reservations and a few big tables, this spot is a reliable brunch option for bigger groups. Especially if you want to get boozy or not because they have plenty of NA options too. Expect excellent service and delicious food options.

My partner and I had a delightful dinner at Lynette on a Sunday evening. We didn't make reservations and they were able to accommodate us. Our server was kind and attentive. The meal was delicious and our dishes had some kick. We were doing some business planning and the atmosphere was perfect - not too loud, not too bright or too dark, and overall good vibes. The wine selection was also lovely - I enjoyed the sparkling rose and a glass of La Patience.

We arrived around 400 PM and were quickly greeted and seated. Our waitress was friendly and a fantastic waitress. We had onion rings appetizer, wife had a Jucy Lucy, and I had a steak sandwich. She had a Miller Lite draft and I had a Budweiser draft. Both of us really enjoyed our meals. Portion sizes were strong. Waitress couldn't have been nicer and either the manager/owner stopped by three different times and talked to us about a repeat customer program they have in place. A very nice guy. This is definitely a locals favorite but we were welcomed in! There isn't anything fancy about the Cardinal Tavern but if you are looking for good food in a friendly environment, stop by. You will be glad you did.

So here we are, 38th and Hiawatha. Not a lot has changed over the years, except maybe more selections on tap. walking in from the corner door takes you into a dimly light bar with enough to seat about 10 to 12 patrons. You will also notice there is tons of seating options in the bar and into the second room. Further back you will find the game room with a bunch of pool tables and a couple dart boards for the gaming folks. The vibe in here is typical neighborhood bar, it is relaxed, the patrons are just your regular easy going folks, and you can easily chat up folks here...maybe discover a new drinking buddy! We came in to do a little day drinking, play some pull-tabs and eat some food. First and foremost, winning a couple hundred in pull-tabs already makes this a fun place to hang...actually it would have been fun regardless. The food fare is your standard bar food, however they do serve breakfast, and the entrees I saw people woofing down, I'd hit this place up for breakfast. We opted to order the pork tenderloin and the sour cream and onion burger. Both were served on toast; the tenderloin on whole wheat with pickles and onions (you need to ask for onions) with a sizable breaded tenderloin. If you want a side I.e. coleslaw, cottage cheese, tots, French fries you need to order with your sandwich. The burger served on pumpernickel had fried onions on it with the sour cream. If I lived on the south side, I'd certainly make this my second home.

You cannot go wrong with any of their entrees but I'd always go for their chicken basket to share with friends, and a side of fries. Their chicken is coated perfectly with dill seasoning, crunchy bread coating is coated nicely and the meat always comes out juicy and tender. I live less than a mile from the Bull's Horn Bar, and the family finally decided to check it out…read moreduring Sunday's Nokomis Day celebration. Wow. What a great dive bar. Today the place was packed due to the festivities, and the parking lot was transformed into a large patio with a DJ, a small bar area, and an outdoor bbq that was slinging burgers, 1/4 pound hot dogs, tots, and popcorn chicken. There was also a meat raffle going on as well. Since it was pretty hot out, we decided to get a seat inside. The seating for today was largely communal to accommodate the large crowd, and we found a seat for the three of us. I went outside to get a smash burger, 1/4 pound hotdog, and a basket of tots. The wife stayed inside with the kiddo to order some drinks. The food cooking outside took tickets ($5 a ticket) and 5 tickets were bought for the food. Not a bad deal in my book. The food took under 10 minutes to get, and the cooks were working the fryers and flattop grill like pros. The smash burger was a nice size, came with cheese and grilled onions, and was on a brioche bun. The hot dog was a nice size, and the tots were plentiful, hot, and crispy out of the outside fryer. Run of the mill condiments were also available, and serve yourself. The wife said the smash burger was better than I make, and I make a pretty damn good burger. While we were eating, I totally felt the dive bar feel, and had the feeling this was pretty much a local bar hangout. Supposedly it's been around for over 70 years (with a name change). After eating, we went outside to see if we could win some meat in the raffle but didn't get lucky. We will come back though. Evidently every 4th Wednesday they have another meat raffle at the bar. The good news is the kiddo won a huge cake on the cake walk contest! We will definitely be back. I want to try their fried dill pickle broasted chicken. Time to eat some cake!
