Small lil spot me and my girls did a ladies night. The happy hour was inexpensive and the drinks were good. I'm keeping this short the music was good once the DJ arrived which wasn't till around 8pm. There is no dancing room so please know this simply a restaurant with good vibes. Don't think you're about to do a two step it's very narrow. The downside is that they will remove you from your table once you're reserved seating time is up. So again don't think this a party spot have your drinks, food and hookah and head to your dancing spot.

I'm doing this review live from Dreamhouse Brooklyn babyeee! Treated a fave aunt and cousin to Dreamhouse for some bday fun tonight. We've already dined on appetizers of Bang Bang shrimp, oxtail quesadillas, crispy lobster empanadas and sweet chili wings. Each item was tasty and the portions were large enough to share. The coolest DJ just set up a moment ago. He's smoking hookah and churning out all of the coolest early to mid 2000s R&B and Hip Hop tunes. If you want to forget the "blah" vibes of so-called gentrified bars and resraurants in Bed-Stuy, Dreamhouse Bk is the place. I'm waiting on a shrimp basil entree with an extra side of mac and cheese. I'm excited. In the meantime, I'm gonna finish this tasty lemon drop Martini. I'll be back here on a night off to eat, sip and smoke hookah with the girlies!

I've seen the reviews and decided to give it a try. The place is a small hole in the wall. On arrival bouncer searches you and you stand there waiting to be acknowledged and seated. We took a seat at a table and was asked to move as it was deemed for a larger party and it was two of us. No problem we moved. We placed our orders and waited. Yea we waited, and I would say about 30 minutes or so we got the lemon drop ( immediate no). Eventually we got our order of oxtail sliders (very greasy) and lambs chops cooked perfect but salty (heavily salted). Food could been garnished and executed differently for presentation. We then ordered margaritas which she claimed we didn't however, I wished we didn't. There was no passion in the passion fruit and the mango tasted just as articial as the puree that came out of that white squeeze bottle in target. We wanted to try some other menu items but from observing how some patrons were treated when they arrived we left. Note for happy hour they added 18% gratuity to the bill of two persons, which in my book they did not deserve. One bartender was pleasant she had unbranded hair, but the other with the braids and nose ring and lashes needs more training else this business will loose more if it's following.

Another hyped IG place that leaves you wanting. I came with my sis in law for valentines time day. My first red flag was that they search you at the door. Never been to a restaurant with bouncers. Much smaller than I thought. Clean, with colored lighting. Seating on both sides, mixture of booths and chairs. Bar was located in the back to the right. Live DJ was in the front. We were sat immediately. One server for the entire restaurant and she was slow. I believe she was bartending as well. It took her 20 minutes to even come to our table after we were initially sat. After ordering drinks it took another 20 minutes to receive them. It was a few tables when we arrived. It eventually filled up as the night progressed. For a holiday weekend they should have at least another server or a bartender. The food was ok. It's the first time in the history of me going out that I ordered 2 apps and 1 entree to split between 2 people. The menu was eclectic and pricey for what you get. The dumplings were decent and the sauce served was authentic to dumpling sauce you would get at a dim sum place. They were on the thin side and only pan seared on one side. Much more expensive than if you went to a dim sum place. The lamb chops with broccoli and fried rice was a joke. The rice was greasy and tasted like obay. Why is obay going in fried rice. The broccoli was just steamed. A little sea salt and fresh cracked pepper would've sufficed. Some pieces were going white. There were 4 lamb lollipops that were literally 1 bite, 2 if you're being dainty. Not worth the $45. The oxtail quesadilla was decent. $18 you got 4 triangles. They didn't skimp on the oxtail. Giving how expensive oxtail is one might say it was worth it. The flavor wasn't memorable. Mac & cheese was fine. It was cheesy enough etc. Nothing I couldn't make or haven't tasted before. The drinks were pricey as well $18+. They were tasty and strong but I can get tasty strong drinks in manhattan for cheaper than that. So why are they charging me those prices in the hood. The one saving grace is that they don't automatically tack on gratuity like these other places that are popping up do. Our bill was $300 before tip. Oh and my purse was stolen. Had I read the other reviews and seen someone else got the purse stolen. I would've definitely skipped this place. You live and you learn. Music was great. I won't return.

We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

I mean, I've had bad pina coladas at dive bars, but I expected more from this place. I would say it was very strong, though, so you know what? That's a good thing to be very strong for that price I'm paying. The spam musubi was also a rip-off. You see two here, but each one costs its own $10, so save your money. Eat somewhere else. The abyss section has some cocktails that are limited to two per customer. They have some bar bites like fried green tomatoes, shrimp toast, broiled oysters, ricotta, dumplings, sliders. I had the French fries with kimchi ranch, which were underwhelming. Bartenders were cool and kept the drinks coming. I got in immediately without an issue or a wait, but it was right after a snowstorm. I've seen some people struggle to get in or have a long wait.
