I've been waiting till I was ready to repaint my house. Of all the contractors including the big ones like Certapro, Paul from dream painting offered the best presentation. They presented their insurance info as well as detailed summary of the the entire job, materials and paint they using from Dunn-Edwards which was perfect as our interior paint was already finished with the same brand. Cost wise they were the best value which is important but more importantly was the quality of work, which I'm very pleased to give this glowing review and recommendation to everyone to this company. They came back to finish the job with some minor concerns I have. After the initial job, Paul came by to meet me to do the walk around the house for the final inspection and re assured me my minor concerns would be taken care of. I am extremely happy with the workmanship that was done by the Painters: John the supervisor and Jesus were just a excellent team that did the work and I'm actually happy to pay without feeling like I've been taken advantage of or the work was subpar. lastly Claire the front office was excellent in every way from customer service and scheduling the work just a great group of people behind Dream Painting! I had used Dream Painted Three time in 15 years. The first time it was interior for a two story 3412 sq ft house with custom painting, did a fabulous job. A few years later had them do same house again to fresh up to sell it, missed a couple small things. Two years ago I had them come in and paint a one story 3385 sq ft custom paint bad job. There was over spray on plantation shutter and top of fan blades. Double doors going into office spray with primered, but not painted. Mind you no furniture in house to have to move or work around. Painted wrong colors in two of the bedrooms, they got swatches I taped to walls and ceilings mixed up. Took them off to go purchase paint and then could remember where they were suppose to go. When I originally found them, they where excellent neat painters. I don't know if they sold original painting business or tried to expand to all the other things they now do, but not the same quality of years ago. read more

I was looking for an estimate to paint the interior of my property. John was the first person to contact me and scheduled someone to come out and give me an estimate. I met with Paul Yun who was friendly, professional and very informative. Within a few hours I had my estimate. So this project started started on a good foot. The painters were in time, friendly and answered any question I had. While one was prepping the other guy left to get the paint (which is where I was warned this is when they add water to the paint). At the same time they were finishing up, I had another estimate for some pavers and concrete I was over seeing. They finish about 6:30 which is already dark outside so I could see all the touch ups needed. They painted Friday and I paid Monday BUTTTT on Tuesday when the paint fully dried all HELL. I can clearly see where one coat of paint was applied to multiple walls, corners were not cut in... I mean ALL BAD. I quickly messaged John and he made an appointment for the 28th but NOTHING. No painters,no call..nada. Messaged John later and now of course... No reply. Paul was the original guy to come job walk this but at this point just how the handle customers I wouldn't recommend this company. Customer service is just as important as the work preformed. My career field is high voltage construction and it's important businesses get the job done right the first time. People were waiting on my review of the job so the could use this company. Save your money, I may take a little longer but paint it you're so you know the the job was completed to you satisfaction. read more

Dream painting came recommended by a client of mine 6 years ago, and I have used them several times ever since, and have recommended them to my friends as well. That by itself should tell you that I was happy with their work. My two Main residences located in Ladera Ranch , and Corona were painted on interior and exterior . I used them for my rentals in Irvine, Aliso viejo as well. First of all, PAUL is great . He is a very nice man and never upsales anything. Even if he recommends an area to be painted , he never pushes you to get it done. His estimates are fair and he puts it in writing . At one time, he gave me an estimate , but I ended up renting the townhome and did not go ahead with painting it. Two years later , when I was ready for paint to put the property on sale, he honored the same price although after covid, all hell broke loose, and labor and costs went through the roof. Still he kept the estimate the same because I was a repeat client so to say a VIP ! How great is that ? They are very profesional. Ashly used to take over after Paul to schedule your project and John took over Ashley's position after a couple of years. They both did a great job for me. They stand by their work too. I did the exterior paint in Ladera house in one year and interior two years later. I asked them to touch up a couple of places like the exterior door, and Paul came over and said that they would do the touch up at no cost , because the paint should have lasted better. I did not see anything wrong, just a few chips here and there , but he stood by their quality of work ! No one does that. In times that service and customer care seems to be a forgotten principle, They are always on time, finish on time, have nice workers, and great prices . I highly recommend them . read more

This was a great deal, until it came to the day the project started. The salesman who made it appear as though he had staff painters did not and all his painters were freelancing sub-contractors. The first day the project manager supposedly broke down on his way to the job site. Oddly all the painters apparently all rode in the same vehicle which ok I bought the explanation. Day 2. The new crew was woefully misinformed or not informed of the details of the job. My quote had patch, PRIME, and two coats of paint. They did not prime told me it was not needed. I also removed 1/3 of the painting job by not painting the bottom of the home in a different color but rather purchased new skirting for the home instead. That should have decreased my price or at least covered some of the detail we were asking for. Nope, the sales person instead denied deferred and deflected to me not understanding the arrangements previously made when I can read perfect English that was spelled out in the contract. Day 3 the painters were affable guys, they did a good job overall but when it came to the trim and detail were not at all interested in making a customer happy, nor would they accept it was part of the contract. Numerous calls between the sales guy and lead crew member that left us with what I would consider an incomplete job. It became such a burden and overwhelming task just to get the job done to the spec we set forth that we a,) didn't paint 1/3 of the house, b.) decided to forgo the details and accept the incomplete job as we knew the painters who were already frustrated and certainly underpaid to finish completely would not drive the 70 miles a third day to complete the job they were already grousing about the pay. The back of the house secondary trim color was not done at all. We now have to finish the job ourselves on our own adding a few more days to the project, and taking us off the other remodeling tasks we were scheduled for. My advice is be very very detailed in the job scope when writing the RFP, and follow through with the crew when they arrive exactly what was agreed to. Get it in detail even if it seems your dissecting the minutae. IF you decide to hire them. You basically have to be your own project manager. Also because of no priming I have paint peeling three days after the job was completed* *their idea of completed. Now let me get my paint brush and ladder and finish the trim. read more

Being a professional in the industry and owning a construction company. These guys did nothing, in doing the very minor wall prep (light sanding in select areas, minor filling with light weight spackle, primer) which was all discussed and priced in costs. Also didn't paint certain areas and painted other areas that wasn't requested to be painted. In my opinion no Communication between upper management and the actual workers (my assumption). The finish paint came out very thin, assume one coat only ( used high quality paint) , and left really bad roller marks on ceiling. My 8 year old kid is actually a better painter, sadly. The overall quality is 'good from far, but far from good). In my 49 combined years in the field these guys are in the bottom 5% of painters out there. read more

But Paul, a super nice guy, gave me an extremely fair and reasonable price (the lowest bid by a lot), and they went above and beyond. Our wooden trim was pretty bad, and they scraped and caulked a ton. They took no shortcuts. Roberto, the on-site supervisor and painter, is KEY. He has a lot of integrity. I owed these guys a review from over a year ago, for the delay I apologize. I had gotten a quote from 3 different companies all highly recommended on Yelp. These guys came out on time, gave me an excellent quote, got to work right away. The team was professional, kind and did a great job!!! They went above and beyond. Also!!!! I ended up getting my laminate flooring and carpeting from them also. I didn't even know they did this but was already moving forward with another company and they asked me to give them a chance to quote. I did and ended up getting 4 rooms of laminate and the rest of the house carpeted all for what the other company was going to charge me for carpeting for the whole thing. I had used Dream Painting several times in the past with great results so when it came time to paint my new home of course I went online to try and track them down. I was confused when I saw so many negative reviews as I had no issues what so ever in the past, in fact I recommended them to several neighbors. Well it didn't take long before I was experiencing all the dysfunction Dream Painting had to offer. The receptionist who attempts to schedule (there is a definite language barrier) and is still learning how email works. The painter said he painted all baseboards but they looked terrible. I am in the process of repainting all base and trim and can say with 100% certainty he did not paint them! I work full time and was unable to be present at time of completion, I came home to a mess inside and out! My slate stone patio is still speckled with paint. Last but not least they over charge! one star is all what I can do. Everything went smoothly at the beginning, referred by a real estate agent (never used their service just got the brochures when they stopped by),scheduled on-site free estimate with the owner(David) and they came on time, gave them some pictures to help them understand my thoughts on the remodeling, measured the house(I was looking for a general contractor for whole house remodeling, including painting and molding/casing for sure), went to the showroom for further discussion after a long driving (waited outside for over 30min later than the appointment but I was fine because he came finally and I must be on site to check the materials they used usually). Not as he said "everything is ready " on the phone. He showed me some paperwork(all the pictures he took in my house and insert in WORD and print out. I know each corner of my house. That's not the purpose I came to showroom.) and promised me that would send me an email including 'everything' and quote the price for me. Look, I wasted time in the showroom. That's two months ago. Nothing anymore. I wrote email and sent messages to him saying he at least should return the pictures I gave him earlier. No response anymore. If they don't want to work for my house, just let me know, right? They're not the only contractor I asked for. Okay, fortunately I haven't used their service. We originally used Dream Painting around 2013 for an exterior painting project in Monrovia. We were so pleased that when we needed our interior of our new home painted, they were the first company we thought of. We booked months in advance and agreed to be out of the house and stay at a hotel with our cats to allow them to work. The company called right before the start and tried to delay the project even though we had booked our hotel room. When we came by, the workers were blasting music and the supervisor was no where to be seen. We had been quoted 7-9 days of work and after a late start on day one, they were ready for the final walkthrough mid-day on day 6 -- because they cut corners and rushed through the job. We complained and they came back one more day, but after finding cracks and major imperfections, we contacted the owner who promised to make it right. I've called the office now twice to schedule the touch up and it's always one excuse after another. Ashley promises to call me back, then says I had the wrong number. (Funny, I didn't have the wrong number when they wanted me to pay!) SOOOOO disappointed. The owner promises and does not deliver. read more

The house looked OK, but paint was dumped in my planters, their van leaked oil on my driveway and trash was left in my yard. Took a while to get is done completely. Estimator puts on a good pitch. Too bad, it's all a lie. Both times, the estimator (who is also the CEO) was late for the appointment. Painters ran late everyday. Job was mediocre. Broke some roof tiles. Claims my roof tiles needed to be replaced anyway so they won't pay for it. Went on for months, back and forth. I finally got sick of dealing with it and threatened a lawsuit. The owner did not want to come out and meet me, he said he would send his manager. Manager ran late also. The office secretary was nice and tried to be helpful, but I could tell it was out of her hands. Problem never got resolved. When I threatened with a lawsuit, they said they were going to file bankruptcy anyway, so go ahead... read more
