I found Steve through Yelp and after meeting with him and going over what needed to be done, I just took a leap of faith and went with him without seeking other bids. His price was fair and in line with what I expected to pay. I liked how Steve was pretty detailed in how they were going to go about painting the exterior of my home. The amount of prep you need to do to paint is very tedious!! They were even able to replace the front porch light and my worn out address sign, and also the rotting wood molding around my back patio door. His crew came on time each day and they finished about a 1/2 day later than originally quoted. We had the house painted after 38 years, front door painted, which had never been painted from installation 20 years ago and 352 linear feet of redwood fence clear sealed that was installed 3 years ago. Steve was great explaining the whole procedure and provided paint cards to choose colors. The guys arrived on Monday at 8am, working till 5 for the whole week. They were easy to talk to and answered all my questions. They did a thorough cleaning followed by taping off all windows, etc of the whole house before beginning painting. I sent out 3 quote requests on Yelp to paint the exterior of the house. Steve responded very quickly and we met the next day for a free estimate. His proposal was detailed and the price was reasonable. He only used premium paints from Dunn Edwards and the proposal comes with 5 year warranty. The project includes repair of some rotted wood of the fascia boards and rafter tails which is a big bonus for me and saves me time and hassle. During the project phase, Steve was very responsive to my questions and concerns and we hit a couple of hiccups because of extensive wood damage and an unusual access issue to one of the side walls and Steve explained the situations clearly and the whole project was still completed in the original promised time frame. I just had Steve John's paint my house. Wow! They are amazing. Steve responded to my call right away and came out quickly to give me a quote. He spent quite a bit of time looking at the house. I had some wood and stucco damage and he explained what it would take to fix/replace it. He gave me the written quote before he left. It was very detailed and included all that needed to be done concerning prep work, paint used, and estimated time to do the job. The Dunn-Edwards Aristoshield paint was included in the price to paint the stucco, but I decided to upgrade to Evershield. It was a slight increase in price and I was glad I was offered that option. After obtaining some other quotes from different painters, I found Steve's estimate to be fair. The reason I went with Steve is because of all the detailed prep work that his company does. The prep work is what makes the paint job last and it was very important to me. I also chose Steve because they were able to do the painting and fix the damaged wood. This was also very important to me because I did not want to hassle with hiring a separate company to do this. I also liked the 5 year warranty. I also cannot say enough good things about Moses and his crew. Such a nice and hard working group of guys. They arrived each morning at the same time and went straight to work. Steve was in contact with me as the work progressed and informed me of when I needed to make paint color selections. He also answered any questions that I had. At the end I was extremely pleased with the look of my house. It looked brand new! They even installed some new outside lighting fixtures for me. To be honest, I am usually disappointed after I have work done from hired companies.
