Review of Roswell Historic Hall: A Bride's Nightmare…read more I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the service provided by Roswell Historic Hall during our wedding reception on April 27, 2024. Our experience was far below the expectations set during our initial meetings, leading to numerous issues that marred what should have been a joyous occasion. Shuttle Service: The shuttle service was a disaster. Despite scheduling pick-up times, the shuttle was over an hour late. Elderly guests, some requiring walkers and canes, were left standing for long periods. Many guests ended up walking to the venue, crossing Alpharetta Highway, which was unsafe and unacceptable. Additionally, several groups of guests waited over an hour for the shuttle to leave after the event, with the driver nowhere to be found. My father and other guests had to personally search for the driver behind the bar multiple times. Police Officer & Staff: Despite paying $500 for a police officer, no officer was present. This was a clear breach of our contract, and I demand an immediate refund. Initially, there was no bartender at the cocktail service, leaving guests to serve themselves. My friend had to ask for help with the margarita machine, only to be told to calm down when she needed assistance. The waitstaff were largely absent, choosing to hang out in the kitchen and tent area instead of serving guests. Food and Beverage: The quality and quantity of the food were extremely disappointing. The charcuterie display was tacky and insufficient for our 160 guests. Many guests, including my daughter, went hungry. The cocktail hour spread fell far short of what was promised. I had to ask for more food to be put out, which should not have been necessary. The champagne toast was another fiasco; I had to text you to start opening the champagne despite our prior discussion. Decorations and Cakes: The cookie table was not placed as agreed and was nearly empty when I checked it. I had to restock it myself, which is unacceptable. The cakes were displayed without any decorations, and the cake topper was not placed until I did it myself. The cake was not distributed to guests, resulting in a $700 loss as many guests did not receive any, and we had no leftovers to freeze for our anniversary. Organization: Throughout the evening, I had to make numerous phone calls and texts to address issues that should have been managed by your team. My husband and I repeatedly had to go behind the bar and kitchen to locate servers and items, causing unnecessary stress and disrupting the flow of the evening. You even approached me several times to ask if you could leave, despite knowing the event was not going well. Overall Experience: In summary, the level of service provided during our wedding was unacceptable. It tarnished what should have been a beautiful day and caused unnecessary stress and disappointment for us and our guests. The numerous failures in meeting the agreed-upon expectations have led me to demand a 30% refund of the total amount paid, which is $5,310. I expect a prompt response and resolution to this matter. I strongly urge you to address these issues to prevent similar experiences for future clients. This was supposed to be one of the most memorable days of our lives, and the service provided by Roswell Historic Hall was a complete failure. Message me if you'd like to discuss my experience.

About a week before the wedding a cold front was supposed to come in on our day and we had not prepped for this. Joi called me directly and came up with a plan to use some extra tents along with the walls to them. The day was PERFECT. Everything ran smoothly and the "moments" she creates for you are things you can't comprehend because you are so busy with everything else! The vendors they partner with and the ability to have everything in one spot was really great as well. I can't say anything bad about our day. Our friends still rave about it and I will never forget it!

However, this coming from a maid of honor's perspective, I fully enjoyed myself at the wedding ceremony and reception I took part in last July. The venue is beautiful, the food was good, and service was excellent for the most part. I would like to say on Joi's behalf that although she has an abrasive personality and probably could handle things with a little more of a softer touch, she really came through for me when I needed a hand. I am not sure if it was the heat, or some health conditions I have, but I almost passed out during the photo portion after the ceremony. Joi came rushing to my aid even though I did not even request her help. She got me food and water immediately and sent someone out to get cold towels to put on my shoulders as I was looking pale and overheating. She got me to sit down and rest and pretty much catered to me until I was feeling more stable. If it had not been for her noticing my loss of color and just ill appearance, as well as her quick action, I might have had to go to the hospital. So I really appreciate her attentiveness and that she took care of me when everyone else was so busy and distracted. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get married in the area and just perhaps not take anything Joi says to heart, especially knowing that she has such a compassionate, caring nature underneath her tough exterior.

They do a great job of helping you set expectations, and they handle basically everything except for a photographer and your favors. They are incredibly kind. Being a same sex couple we did not know what to expect. The Conservatory did an amazing job of treating us like everyone else, even going as far as editing their forms to groom/groom. We were treated like any other opposite sex couple and to us, that meant more than anything. They are clear and concise in what is included, what it will cost and there are NO surprises at the end. They made our day special. We were not rushed the day of, and the coordinators took special care of my husband and I as well as our family. If you're going in not sure what to expect, or if you know exactly what you want, the people here are amazing. They also provide the catering, and the food was top notch. The service provided was excellent. They sent us with lovely to go boxes of food, and a bottle of the delicious champagne from our toast.

The bridal suite is so big and has a large kitchen area with a fridge; a living room area with a couch and several chairs; a bathroom with a shower; a room that was used for hair & make up; and a front and back porch. The main venue space has a downstairs space that was used as both the reception area and the dance floor. I enjoyed celebrating my friends at this beautiful spot! I think it would be a great spot for weddings, vow renewals, and/or other large events.

Personally, the vaccines have been a game-changer for us and we felt comfortable at this indoor-outdoor gathering of about 90-95 people. Plus, we didn't want to miss this. We came in from out of state to make it. At first, I got The Wildflower Barn at Little River confused with Little River Farms, the wedding and special events venue next door. The two venues, plus Brick & Ivey in Marietta, are owned and operated by the same group. I believe there was another wedding going on at Little River Farms at the same time because when I pulled up to The Wildflower Barn at Little River, there were folks with signs directing people which way to go depending on which couple's wedding they were attending. The parking was valet in a gravel driveway and parking lot, which I was not expecting. The valet guys were nice and did a good job. The ceremony was held outside, unplugged. The cocktail hour was held inside and outside. The dinner reception was held inside the barn. And there was a beautiful lantern send-off outside, the way we came in. Everything was well-organized and went off without a hitch, as far as I could tell. For an event with about 90-95 people, I thought the size of The Wildflower Barn at Little River was appropriate. Over 100, I suspect it may start feeling tight. Overall, I thought the venue was beautiful, particularly the outside with all the plants and well-manicured landscaping, whimsical string lighting, and farm feel. Inside, the reception space felt open and modern. The space was very well lit and also well ventilated and air conditioned. At the reception dinner, a served buffet was catered by Southern Charmed Catering by Little River Farms. I thought the food was delicious. It consisted of a fresh spring mix salad with choice of honey balsamic or ranch dressing, green beans amandine, whipped buttermilk potatoes, mesquite-grilled chicken breast, pork chops with maple bourbon beurre blanc with sweet and spicy BBQ sauces, and dinner rolls. During cocktail hour, there were two hors d'oeuvres, chicken satay (skewers) and crab rangoon. During both the cocktail hour and reception, there were two open bars, one inside and one outside. King of Pops was on-site as was Pearl's Tea of Suwanee (bubble tea). Robot Booth provided the fun photo booth and DJ Rylan with DJ Cuttlefish, the team of DJs associated with Robot Booth, was the emcee and provided the music (playlist by the bride). I was told the wedding cake was by Angel Bakery, located inside Hong Kong Supermarket in Norcross, and additional dessert cake was provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes. I was familiar with all of the vendors except for Angel Bakery which I think is well-known among the Asian (specifically, Vietnamese) community in Gwinnett. The cake was excellent. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves at The Wildflower Barn at Little River. I think it's an ideal wedding venue depending on what you're going for.

But, I felt the need to say something about this business. I recently had a wedding, which I booked Queens for, a year in advance. Beginning with, they showed up late. They provide the garnishments, but when they arrived without a knife to cut the garnishments and no way to cut them, none of the guests could get them. As well as the bartender kept leaving the bar during service. In my contract, it was written and signed that I would be provided with 2 bartenders. When only one showed up, I contacted the owner and was given a response of I only paid for one, and the 2nd one was a courtesy. If that was the case, then that should have been discussed with me ahead of time, when the contract was signed. I planned on having two bartenders, based on the number of guests. Also, my contract stated that I was going to have two bartenders. If I had known one unprepared, late bartender was going to cost me $650 I would have found another option.
