Honestly such a weird experience. Just moved here and needed Botox so I made an appointment.... The second I walked in the front desk just made me uncomfortable. My injector was was also just weird. Made me uncomfortable and kept trying to sell me other procedures and I had to repeat myself maybe 5 times explaining all I wanted was Botox, but she just wasn't getting it and I was getting really frustrated. When I was checking out they told me I needed to schedule a three week follow up. I told them that was unnecessary, I would call with any concerns. They were pushy and wouldn't let me leave until I scheduled. When I kept insisting I didn't want the appointment the owner even made a snarky remark "have you even ever had Botox?"..... They ended up making the appointment and I canceled over text.... They then immediately asked me when I wanted to come back for my Botox. Never said I wanted to..... 24 hours before my canceled apt I got a text telling me to confirm and saying I would be charged if I didn't show up.... Thought I had cancelled? Went here last summer and fall for 3 sessions of ultrashape, wanting to get rid of a mom Pooch that just wouldn't go away after having babies. It was a bit expense but I went for it. Practitioners I saw were nice. But- a ridiculous amount of money and 3 sessions and zero results after 3 months, even drinking tons of water and strictly watching what I ate and not drinking alcohol. I called and explained my disappointment/ They had me come in and agreed there wasn't a noticeable result so gave me a 4th treatment free of charge, which was really kind but I still saw no noticeable change- certainly not worth what I paid and I wasn't looking for a miracle as I'm already in ok shape and was only trying to fix this one lower tummy pad of fat. My other complaint- They also called and texted me multiples times before each appointment trying to change the day and time which was frustrating given that you're paying them so much money for the service. Nice people, no results, wouldn't go back there again. Learned from another med spa practitioner that ultrashape treatments are really operator dependent, and I wonder if that was the issue. read more

I went to Dream Spa with high hopes because of the high ratings and winning the Best of Boston 2022. I went for my routine botox for forehead and crow's feet which I've been doing for years. The aesthetician was obviously syringe-friendly as she erased all the forehead lines (I never asked for this) and as a result my droopy eyelids became droopier which makes me look OLDER (ironically).....overdid the botox on my crow's feet area too and I cannot smile my full smile. I'm 6 weeks in and thankfully will see a reversal in another 6-8 weeks. I also got my chin and jaw area filled by the same person since I have mild jowling going on and a collapsed chin. Again overdone. I now have a heavy and super pointed chin which I hate and doesn't go with my natural facial anatomy. I can't look at myself in the mirror without getting mad. But wait there's more - I wanted more fullness in my lips and the same person did a lip flip (all of this on the same day), which I had never heard of (was expecting fillers to be used, this is done with Botox), without explaining that there was a chance that I would be squirting water and not be able to eat properly for 2 weeks - I would never have gone for it! Now I have a slightly bigger upper lip which overhangs the lower lip. Waiting for this to wear off too. I didn't write a review earlier as I was overseas and wanted to meet with the management to discuss what could be done to correct the lower face. This week I met with co-owner, Diana, who heard me out without any empathy, or apology (God forbid) or agreement that things had gone awry - in fact she kept telling me she likes the look. Well I don't and that's all that matters - customer satisfaction 101. I was given a "lollipop" since I wanted some correction (not out of pocket of course), in the form of a 10 min localized ultherapy in the chin area to reduce the heaviness. An acknowledgement would have gone a long way and I wouldn't be writing this review. read more

Any relaxation you might have received from the treatment immediately diminishes the second it is over, because at that point, they are talking about all the products and other services you need. I went here to get my first Botox: I'm 36 years old. It's super scary getting Botox because of the fear you'll be in bad hands or that you'll end up with Spock eyebrows. But I'm thrilled with my results! And I'll definitely be going back. Lindsay did an awesome job explaining my options to me for my major concerns on my face. I ultimately decided just to do my forehead as this was my first experience. But she wrote me a list of options for other areas I would want to troubleshoot in the future. The process was quick and painless and the whole staff was friendly and welcoming. I also like that they do a Botox bank deal. It's expensive, but it the long run it saves you a few hundred dollars, so it's worth it if you plan on continuing treatment. After my Botox, my results had me a little worried. One big wrinkle still stuck out, and I had big indents above my eyebrows, and one eyebrow moved and the other didn't. Luckily, they schedule follow up visits. When Lindsay saw me, I didn't even need to say what was wrong: she immediately knew and then said I needed just a few more injections in a couple places to fix it and she did them right away. A couple days after that, and it looks perfect! No lines, no indents above the brow and my brow is even. So they really do know what they are doing. (I should say that the first result wasn't a matter of bad Botox injections, but that she purposely went higher with my injections to be sure that I didn't get DROOPY brows, and that my brows were uneven to begin with. So after I came back, she knew she could go a little lower. They also try to be conservative with their estimate of how much you need, because they can always do more if you need it, but they can't reverse if they've done too much--you'd just have to wait it out). Looking at my before and after photos is pretty amazing. I feel like I look ten years younger but no one can tell I got Botox. I'm planning on going back very soon and trying a facial there! I also was very pleased with the front desk staff. I had to delay my follow up appointment because my cat recently had major surgery and had to go to a cardiologist and the time conflicted. When I went in for my appointment, the woman at the front desk remembered me (I'd only been there once!) and said, "how's your cat doing?" I thought that her memory was impressive, but it was also very kind to ask that. So overall, I'm loving this place and I can't wait to go back. read more

They injected Juvederm Ultra Plus in my lips. That stuff apparently ISN'T supposed to go in your lips. My lips looked terrible with a huge lump in the middle so they had to dissolve the juvederm. My vacation was ruined. My lips looked asymmetrical as crap. The Botox wasn't good either- left a weird bump on my forehead months later. Do yourself a favor, don't go near that place. read more

Wanted to like Dream Spa but I found it pretty disappointing. Loved that you can book and communicate easily online, but I went for simple injections I've been getting for a couple years. The RN was kind but wanted to inject more than 2x what I have usually gotten, and tried to upsell me on fillers. I asked for my typical amount, and it was still significantly more expensive than I've had at other medspas in Back Bay and Newton. Weeks later and there was barely any results. Usually I respond so well, they want to use my face for before/after photos. Too bad. I regret spending the cash and will head back to my previous spas. read more

Purchased a groupon and was pleasantly surprised this gem is nestled in Brookline. I was wondering why there were no reviews, but then come to find out they just recently opened at the end of July. My experience prompted me to write their first! The ambiance was instantly relaxing. The staff were friendly and were informative about all things considering my skin care- even how I can tweak my current at home regimen. Very client centered. I purchased the 4-layer facial which features a gentle enzymatic exfoliant that had my skin glowing. I'll definitely be booking another appointment very soon. Went to see Julia for a facial on a friend's recommendation. Amazing from start to finish. The front desk is very polite, professional and friendly. My facial experience was truly exceptional. First of all, Julia took a long time talking to me about my skin, needs, things to avoid, types of care. Not a single time during this consultation did she push any product on me. She then suggested a type of facial and asked me my time availability. She really took the time, my fadial lasted 1,5 hrs not including the 30 min consultation. My face felt hugely rejuvenated, not overly 'worked on' and was glowing. Julia then discounted my treatment because they were running a Groupon deal, even though I didn't know about it. I have been going to Dream Spa for awhile and very recently upped my skin care game with the help of the educated team there. I have been going for hydraglow facials (not as often as I would like!) and during a recent visit I mentioned that I was unhappy with some of the brown spots on my face. What can I do to help those? Well the answer for me and my skin goals, was to receive a treatment called IPL. I had my first round eight days ago and when I tell you my skin looks years younger, I am not kidding. I am very diligent with my daily skincare routine (only use quality products on my face and have been transitioning to more clean skincare as well but I live by the 70/30 rule), SPF and drinking water which have all helped over the years but this single treatment honestly WOW'd me. I will need 1-2 more to achieve my desired results but no question, this worked wonders. It was a great experience and I wish I had tried it sooner! read more

I am one of those women of a certain age who was​ sure I would never ​get any kind of cosmetic procedure done. I was happy to age gracefully and took it as a point of pride. A number of life changes led me to reconsider so, on a whim, I booked a consultation with Lindsey at Dream Spa Medical. I just wanted information about fillers but wasn't planning to get anything done that day. As soon as I walked into the facility I felt at ease. It was calm, low-key and friendly. All of the women who worked there looked great. Very, very natural without a trace of that fake, overdone Hollywood style that turns me off. Lindsey was terrific. She answered all my questions with calm expertise and was absolutely not hard-sell. I felt like I could just say "thanks" and leave if I wanted to without any pressure. But I did the opposite. I went out of my comfort zone and decided to go for it. Lindsey gave me one vial of Juvederm XC in some problem areas. It was somewhat uncomfortable but not too bad. Certainly tolerable. The results were miraculous. I can't emphasize enough how great I felt in the days after the treatment. There were a few very, very tiny bruises but they healed up quickly. My family and friends began to tell me how rested and glowing I looked. I hadn't told them about the treatment but their response said it all. More importantly, I felt great looking in the mirror. Yes, I still had appropriate aging areas- because I wanted to - but I looked at least 5 years younger. The creeping feeling of age vanished and I felt rejuvenated. This sounds like I'm going over the top - but for me, this was a life-changing experience. I recently went for a little touch up in some areas that I thought could be enhanced and the experience was even better. Lindsey had me put a numbing cream on my face​ first before the injections and the procedure was a breeze. Minimal discomfort, no bruising and even more youthful appearance. All without looking fake in any way. So, Instead of being one of those people who "would never do that kind of thing to my face" I am now one of those​ people who will never NOT do this to my face." I normally never write reviews, but I was a little disappointed today after leaving Dream Spa Medical. I made an appointment specifically for today to get their discounted rate for Botox/fillers, as they were looking for models and advertised the cost for fillers at a discounted rate if you made an appointment today. On the website it states the cost of filler is $450.00, which the regularly price is $600.00. I decided to to go ahead and get one syringe, which I thought would be $450.00. When I went up to pay after the procedure the price was a little more than $600.00. The woman at the counter told me the price was more because I got fillers that last longer. I was not told before the procedure that I was getting fillers that would cost more than what was advertised. I feel like I was mislead, and think it is important to let the client know ahead of time that the price will be more than what is advertised. I would like to say though, that the two women who I had the procedure done with were very pleasant and did a good job! read more
