Great little bubble tea place located in a strip mall. I've been coming here for a few years now and overall am usually happy with my drink. They have a pretty extensive bubble tea and drink menu. My go to is the pineapple bubble tea with mango jelly. I've tried other flavours but they just did not do it for me. Depending on what you order prices can be either reasonable or expensive especially if you go for the speciality drinks. The staff is always very kind and friendly. This place can get quite busy at times and you may sometimes need to wait in line for a bit before placing your order. There are a few tables however, most people tend to just grab and go. They also have board games available if you wish to stick around with some friends and play some games. When it comes to food, they have a small menu of items however, they are all deep fried type snacks like calamari, wings, fries, tempura etc. After years of only getting drinks I decided to try the calamari ($7.50). It was alright, 7/10. It comes with a garlic aioli dip which I did enjoy. The calamari is not very big (comes in a 4 inch take out container) therefore, just enough if you're looking for a little snack. I have a serious lactose allergy and somehow my first bubble tea drink had lactose in it when I went in the first time and I was sick for 3 days. I phoned and talked to a lady with long black hair that's tied back and she issued me a free bubble tea + a $25 gift card on the phone. This lady was SO kind and we chatted before the store got busy. They took responsibility for their mistake and treated me above and beyond to fix it and that's why I'm giving them 5 stars. I forgot to add that she gave me a free bubble tea for my birthday the next time I came in after I mentioned it in our convo. She is truly the sweetest human being. Love coming here for bubble tea. They are fast and can customize your drink to your liking. My kids love the fruity flavours and sweetness of the drink. The interior is cute they have one really long table (shared table) up front where people usually wait for their drinks. Closer to the doors there are a few smaller seating areas if you want to stay there to drink your bubble tea or have a snack. Sanitizer is available upon entry, social distance is easy to follow especially since it's takeout only (no dine-in). The space allows for a lot of social distanced seating to wait for orders. Menu is posted on the side wall on posters with sticky notes over what is sold out and what they stop serving at 8:30 pm (re:coffee drinks). I think it's handy since it's hard to see the main display menu from cashier side. I don't remember the BBT menu being as extensive as it was when I last came here years ago. It's quite impressive yet overwhelming with the amount of choices here. I stuck to the classics and bought a Hokkaido pudding milk tea... that was really good...so good that my kids said it was delicious- a first I've heard for a basic BBT (and we have been to a lot of BBT places this past year in Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver). The food menu is very pared down though. Basically fries, takoyaki, green onion cake, not the exciting stuff that is posted from the older Yelp menu photos. They also have croiffles (croissant x waffle) menu here. I ordered cheesy fries and I can't complain: came with fork & napkin, double fried French fries for extra crispness so it wasn't soggy from being in a styrofoam container. Nacho cheese & sour cream was basic sauce, but that's clearly written on the menu description, plus I did like the extra hit of bacon bits. I'm glad I happened to revisit this place again by chance. I am very recently new to the experience of bubble tea. I found this place relatively enticing due to the fact that it is relatively close to where I live and that there is a wide selection so I've been told. I had a hard time making a solid choice based on my ignorance of the subject; however the staff was friendly enough to help guide my decision. I narrowed in on the mango bubble tea with what was described as "bursting Boba" which was juice filled balls that would dissolve or burst with the juice while drinking the mango bubble tea. It reminded me of a mango smoothie and less tea, But nevertheless it was still a delicious experience. I hope to go back soon for more variety. read more

They usually have a $1 snack with a bubble tea purchase which is a pretty good deal. I also like the fact that you can get either tapioca bubbles, popping bubbles or yogurt. Plus, the number of flavors they offer is unbelievable! I also really loved staying in and playing some games. You can find out the games the front counter when you place your order. It was great to sit down and wait for our order and play some games. I've been going to many of their locations for many years now and throughout the years there have been the odd time now and then where they forgot my order or messed up serving me and I let it slide because I understand we all have off days. Overall I do like dream tea for their drinks but I feel like their customer service isn't what it use to be. They need to train their staff better in phone etiquette and to be better organized in estimating time for drink orders. Particularly the Heritage location. There's been many times where I am waiting for over 30 minutes for my order. No apologies, no compensation when they forget about you. But their other locations I've never really run into any problems. As for drinks my favorites to order are: -Green apple green tea -Lucky star -Dream -Avocado with lychee pieces instead of sago -Condense milk coffee frap -Warm almond (last time I called they said they no longer make it at the heritage location but said they "never" had it there even though I've ordered from there before. They told me to order it at the ellerslie location instead.) Long story short, I'm disappointed in the recent encounters at the heritage location. I get it, covid is making life hard for everyone but being a long time customer I feel let down. We ordered two bubble tea drinks every week. Yesterday, it took 40 mins for two drinks. By the time we got home my avocado bbt was warm. Initially when they launched take out via phone during the pandemic, it took an hr to get the drinks so we went to Coco. They had improved their ordering system by adding online order so we gave them another chance. It was worth it to give dream tea another chance where the bbt available to be picked up quickly and the drinks taste supposed to be. Now they are switching back to phone ordering and we were extremely disappointed. We will go to Coco as I can count on getting my bbt drinks quick and consistent quality drinks. read more

Oh, Heritage Dream Tea House - how long have you been here and how did I only just find you? I always visit your WEM location and here you are, practically in my backyard! This location trumps WEM hands down, it has ample seating and a beautiful wrap around wall mural that makes you feel as though you are drinking you bubble tea in the middle of some exotic beach island locale. Most importantly, the bubble tea! My Dream tea made with skim milk came out as good, if not better than at the West Ed location. It was definitely faster and the combination of fruit flavours was perfectly mixed. The tapioca pearls were perfectly chewy and the lychee jelly was soo good, perfection in a cup! I only regret that I am moving to Summerside in a few weeks, making this location, albeit still close, not right in my stomping grounds. My sister and I placed an order for bubble tea and when we received it, it tasted extremely watered down. We also payed for extra tapioca and we only had the regular amount added. My sister always gets 20% sugar added and she's never had it taste bland like this. She has proof of receipts with the EXACT same order aswell. She called and spoke to the manager who was super rude, and kept cutting her off and was arguing that it's supposed to taste like this when she was at a different Dream Tea location literally yesterday and it didn't taste like this. One of the OG bubble tea spots, dream tea is a nice chill spot to come for some sweet slushy drinks and a variety of snacks to munch on. With all the new bubble tea places popping up, not a lot have a menu with food items on it which allows dream to stand out from other bubble tea places. I don't usually come here for the drinks as they are getting a bit too sweet for my liking, but if you do have the hankering for something to cool you down and you don't feel like getting some CoCo's down the street, this place is definitely a great option. They offer powdered and fresh fruit flavours for all their slushies, as well as regular milk tea and assorted iced teas. They have also recently added patbingsu to their menu, but it's only available (at the moment!) at their whyte ave location. They do however have shaved ice with different flavours, one with oreo cookies, yogurt milk, and condensed milk, and another with an assortment of fruits and condensed milk. I tried the newest addition of the shave ice, and since i don't really enjoy fruits on everything I opted for the oreo topped shave ice. It was ok, not mind blowing. I didn't enjoy it that much and it seemed like it was lacking a lot of flavour. With the shave ice out of mind, the rest of the food options here are delicious. I find if i'm REALLY hungry and am in the area, i'll order a bento from them as they're the same price as they would be at a fast food sushi restaurant. read more

The mood is loungeriffic tasty snacks are served and the lighting is low. It's a busy place of students and those who come to relax. Bubble Tea to my surprise has not caught on as fast in Caucasian society but Asians just love it. I predict one day that it will become more mainstream and that time is coming it's just a matter of time. My visit was to test a matcha tea which was creamy and a perfect way to glide into the night. If I lived in Edmonton I'd be here maybe weekly as its a chill environment. The best place about this is the value of fresh real fruit slush options. They have many options of fresh fruit mixes not offered at any other place, the most comparable would be pricey fruit/yogurt companies beside gyms. Their snacks are decent. Do not add tapioca pearls to your drink though. I've been to this establishment a couple of times and after traveled thru Vancouver and Calgary, I would say Dream Tea has the one of the worst quality of tapioca pearls. The pearls are too soft and tasteless. I would suggest coco's for more convenient BBT and Gong Cha. read more

This is our favorite go-to place whenever we feel hungry and want to grab some snacks. Asians are pretty much bubble tea fanatics, so expect to see mostly Asians coming in here (including me!) I used to order their avocado shake/taro root shake. However I wanted to explore more on the drinks and add-ons that they offered so I could somehow taste again the milky bubble tea I used to always have back in my home country. Poof! The original bubble tea with milk cap on top of it did the trick! I have always ordered the same drink ever since. The battle for the bubble tea crown has been a very long and historic ones. It's true than you can pretty much get bbt from most Asian restaurants let alone standalone bbt cafés but to find that one place that can cook it just right is still unclear. Dream Tea house has been around since the early 2000s when places like Urban Café, Tea Bar, Tea Cottage were drawing in crowds. As far as I know, only Dream and Tea Bar are the remaining of the old guards. So there must be a reason why Dream is synonymous with bbt here in Edmonton. Is it word of mouth and name recognition or is it the quality and taste? I'd like to admit that it's a shame we don't have more options in the city that can really challenge this veteran but make no mistake they do sling a mean bbt which proves why they've been able to expand to Heritage Landing. They have a great litany of different flavors and styles that you can choose from and they actually got into the milk cap game. If you're not sure what the milk cap does, it's a layer of frothy milk (sometimes flavored) that gives the drink another level of flavor: can be mixed or just left as is. One thing dream is known for is their custom drink menu. They've played around with flavors over the year and they've got some interesting options if you want to stray from the OG selection. My biggest problem though with the drinks at bbt is the flavor. They are pretty much the bubblicious of bbt so you'll get an instant one way trip to flavor country. It's very very sweet and rich but at least you can request for half sweet and non-3% milk for the milk tea items. Like most standalone cafés, they offer shaved ice as well as small snacks and dishes. The snacks are a little bit on the expensive side but if you have a hankering for fries or wings at least you have the option here. You can often here loud crashes as well as many customers take out small games that they can play and you'll be hearing the tumbling of Jenga on a Friday/Saturday night. It does get busy as the night comes along so be sure to get there early if you have a group. In the winter it does get cold here with many people coming and going so a sweater or snuggie is recommended. Just kidding, don't bring a snuggie. I'll be jealous. They are a solid choice for your bbt temptation and are quite reliable with three locations. It'll be interesting to see if they will evolve over time. Yay, finally a new and closer location to get good bubble tea / tapioca. The location is at a strip mall by the Shoppers Drug Mart near Century Park. I'm really loving this place because of the new location cause i do not like going to the one on Calgary trail, its seriously like a farm in there during the busy hours. This place was not as busy as the Calgary trail one, my drinks come out really fast, but they yet do not have any games :( but im sure in the future they will hopefully put some on the shelves. So i ordered my favorite, Avocado smoothie with tapioca. Not much to really describe it but say, it was smooth, sweet, made from real avocado not the powder stuff, the the tapioca is chewing just the way i like it. And the cool thing, is if you havent gotten one yet, is their stamp cards. How is works is when you buy your drink you show then your card ( or get a new one if you never got one) and they stamp it for you, and for every 9 drinks you buy you get the next one for free!!! read more

ASK FOR YOUR RECEIPT! YOU ARE BEING CHARGED A MANDATORY 15% GRATUITY... EVERY TIME! Just a week earlier, my friend and I ordered and paid for the drinks without really thinking about the price. Long story short, we found that we had overpaid for the drinks. We went up to the cashier inquiring about our concern, and she would NOT share the receipt with us. The manager of the shop then came over to resolve the issue. She then hid the receipt behind her hand - and simply said that it was an error of the touch screen system. She paid us back for the overcharged amount, but I then (FINALLY) peeked at my receipt, and saw that there were a 15% gratuity added to our bill. She quickly locked away the receipts and looked away. I used to go at least once a week, loved the service and LOVED the bubble tea. In my opinion, the bubble tea there is the best in Edmonton (that i have found; biggg bubble tea lover). However, around 2 months ago my friends and I received horrible service from one of the employees. Bad attitude, rude, and unprofessional. Since then, I have not gone there.
