My experience with Wandering Hummingbird has been totally awesome. I've had a series of consistently exceptional therapeutic massages from Karen. Her skill and knowledge has helped me to alleviate a frustrating chronic pain and isolate the muscles involved in my condition. This has been a really great complement to my physical therapy. Over the last fifteen years I have been a client of at least fifty other massage therapists and I can honestly say that very few have been on the same level. My wife initially got this through groupon for herself. Due to scheduling constraints she couldn't make it so she told me to take it. Location was convenient, only 15-20 minutes away. Best to schedule it during non-rush hours as Front Street can get quite crowded in Issaquah. The therapist, Pam (if I recall) did a great job. She listened to my issues and developed a plan to address all trouble spots. Afterward she spoke with me for a few minutes on different stretches I could do to improve my condition and some advice. All in all it was a good massage. Highly recommend. TIP: when coming here it's inside the spa courtyard and then along the back wall and down some steps to your right. My previous massage therapist of 10 years retired and I need a new one that's at least her level of expertise. Asked around and my aesthetician recommended hummingbird. Bait and switch garbage. Extremely unhappy. Watch out for this tactic. So bought a groupon massage for my wife. Set it up. Something happened and my wife had to reschedule. Rather than informing her this was a groupon and elise was not available on this particular groupon. What happens? They reschedule her with elise. Then go ahead and try to charge my card after its all done without explaining beforehand that elise wasnt for the groupon. Maybe if you said in the beginning could reschedule with someone else but no mention of that much less informing my wife during the rescheduling. Instead now im stuck with a groupon i dont want and im out 100 bucks for a massage that should have been on the groupon. So thanks elise. Appreciate the business tactics. I live in Seattle but Issaquah is my favorite suburb, so I actually find the location to be not bad. Definitely worth the trip. About a 7 minute walk from the closest Route 554 stop if you're a weirdo like me who takes the bus to Issaquah. The space is really nice and comfortable. Out of Elise and Grant, I've seen Grant and found him to not only be good-natured and extremely professional but just a damn good practitioner. Very highly recommend. read more

Elise. Is. Excellent! I found her through Groupon and I've been thrilled with the results. She helped me with some low-back and hip pain and had me right as rain in about 2 weeks, or 2 90-min massages. I purchased an extended package plan to have her continue to treat my body. She is thorough and each massage has been catered to my needs at the time - not a one-size-fits-all massage. She asks about my pain level and massages accordingly checking in and adjusting as needed. Her energy is fantastic - bright and effervescent without being chatty or vacuous. Much of my pain is due to receptive stress and holding myself to rigidly. I leave with assignments: epsom salt baths; water, water, water; and reminders to stay loose. I often catch myself doing the "Elise Wiggle" where she reminds me to stay loose. Thanks, Elise! I went online to schedule my appointment and was asked to provide my credit card number to this company that I have never done business with before. I contacted them to ask if I could provide a copy of my Groupon confirmation instead. They said no. My credit card was required to reserve my spot. They said if I came to my appointment, my card wouldn't be charged. I won't be making an appointment. I do not give my credit card out online to companies I'm not very familiar with. Unless you feel comfortable giving your credit card number online to these folks, I would stay away from their Groupon offers. read more

Horrible service! I had a Living Social coupon and went to get a massage. It was 12:55 for my 1:00 apt. No one was there. Another business opened the door. She arrived at 12:58 and in a haughty manner stated, well your appointment was at 1! I said I bought a Living Social coupon and she said I don't do those! So, then she said I could deduct the amount but would have to pay the full price. I received a massage from Dan last Thursday and it was not something I would brag about. In an effort to make amends, Elise reached out to me and asked if she could give me a massage and review her instead of Dan. I agreed and recommended that Dan be there to learn from her but I had my massage today and Dan was not there to learn. I hope that Elise helps him with his techniques so he can improve. However, Elise did a good job on me today, she did something I have never had done which was getting on the table with me and really stretching my lower back which felt amazing.
