    So funny but yet...

Super fun and incredibly unique! Loved spending the night doing something different. Do you remember those Eye Spy books you'd look at as a kid? Well, imagine diving headfirst into one of the pages and this is what you'd find. It's busy and artistic and I felt very enlightened after leaving. (It also helped that I took a Creative Arts class in my undergraduate schooling so I could truly appreciate and understand everything going on). But honestly, it's an incredibly unique art exhibition (art experience?) and I'd recommend everyone go at least once. The artists give a fun perspective on "random everyday items" and there is a lot to interact with. Take your time going through and enjoy a new scene, have fun in the heart of SLC and go outside your comfort zone! I mean, you don't ALWAYS need to spend your Friday night watching Netflix. TIPS & TRICKS: * Park in the north lot and head out across the intersection, it's located just east of Dave and Busters. * Take some time to read some of the tags within the exhibit (you'll understand what I'm talking about when you get there) it's fun to read other's thoughts. Some are thought provoking... others are, um, less inspiring...

Everything displayed is either donated, recycled, or once trashed. Its like you're walking through someone's dreams and trying to understand what's going on. Some of the materials that they repurpose are amazingly done and you'll have to see it for yourself. You start going as a small group and once you enter the initial room, you can go in at your own pace. There's hand sanitizers throughout the "maze" especially around the writing areas. Definitely an opportunity for photos, but they want you to wear a mask. Located at the gateway, it's a quick and easy date night or family adventure. There's a few restaurants in the gateway with hall pass being next door to make it fun and convenient.

Um... wow. Just wow. Went here for a double date and it was incredible. They said it was a 60-90 min walk through... we did it in 135 and could have easily stayed longer. Every room was so beautiful and thought through, and we even got to meet one of the artists! This is a great place to go to support and appreciate incredible local artists, and be engrossed by the dreamworld they have created. Highly recommend for all ages. There is a great storyline for kids and so many details for adults. Highly highly recommend.

Fun weird way to spend an hour or two. The exhibit was wild and fascinating. Then the local art available was also quality and we ended up walking out with a new painting. Weird but in a great way

While I was strolling around The Gateway, this huge, rather spectacular shopping/dining/lifestyle complex, in Salt Lake City, I came across this cool, little museum (if you can call it that?). Supposedly all the artwork had been created using recycled products from neighborhood businesses. I was just curious to see what this was about, so decided to pay the $15 fee to enter. They were practicing Covid measures, from mask wearing to socially distanced touring...though as to be expected, that got a bit slack here and there. Thanks to medical connections, I was fortunate enough to be double vaccinated weeks ago, so I felt somewhat safe going through all of their rooms/spaces. However, not sure if I would have done this otherwise. Well, turns out this is indeed somewhat of a museum, yet like its name, each room creates a magical, dreamlike setting. Looking back at the walk-through experience, as well as looking at some pics taken by others from Yelp, it reminded me of this Japanese artist, Kusama's, artistic vision. In fact, the infinity-inspired mirrors and the polka dot/art paint set-ups are very Kusama-esque, if not a copy of her work. Anyway, the recycled artworks were impressive...and some of the rooms were cool, though some were kinda young and cheesy. I thought it would have been much better and more dreamlike if there was some cool overhead music. However, it was just dead silence...and all you heard were people talking as they walked through. THIS is where I thought this place failed miserably. Why not at least TRY to create a dreamlike ambiance...with music to set the mood? Such an obvious miss... at least to me. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't quite a dreamlike escape for me, but somewhat entertaining nevertheless. I guess it's worth going through this at least once for just $15 at that...if only to get some quirky pictures as memento, or for Instagramming. I took a ton of pics myself...though most of them turned out badly lol.

It was fun and most of the rooms were pretty interesting. I absolutely love the idea of using supplies that would otherwise go to the landfill. I found some of the rooms to lack interaction and weren't really for me. Others were captivating. The price is quite high for kids tickets.

If you've heard of or experienced a Meow Wolf exhibit, this isn't too far off. But I appreciated the incredible detail in all the displays compared to the large-scale, less intimate experience you might get at Meow Wolf. You can tell that so much heart has been put into the pieces here. And although it's lower budget, it's a ton of fun. We loved all the different things you can interact with...light shows, out of tune pianos, and even a poetry creator. Highly recommend all around!!

This place is magic! It is locally made art, usually themed something amazing. There are tons on of different rooms featuring interactive art! If you need something fun to do for a casual date night or love supporting local artists, this is the place!

Imagine every art project you've ever done merging with some of your most psychedelic dreams... in real life. Now imagine being in a room with no clear exit and when you do find your way out, you're faced with another artistic challenge. This is Dreamscapes. Some rooms are dark, others are bright. Some are interactive and others are just for observation. But all of them tell a story or portray a feeling from the artist. It was very well done and fun for the creative and non-creative attendees. Be sure to take lots of pictures and take time to enjoy the work. Lots of people put a great deal of effort into it.

How much is it? And is it worth the money? From a broke college student with very minimal disposable income's pint of view.

If I remember correctly it was $15 when it should have been $5... It's a cool place but you might leave feeling ripped off 🤷‍♀️

The space was lively yet thoughtful, with families introducing children to art in an engaging way. As a big fan of Monet, I was happy to see pieces inspired by his work, capturing that soft, pastel, atmospheric beauty he was known for. The contemporary pieces also stood out, especially the interactive candy-wrapped installation--taking a piece was a unique and exciting experience. The American art collection was fascinating, with detailed descriptions providing insight into the dates, techniques, and materials used. The museum does a great job of enhancing the experience with QR codes on the walls, linking visitors to additional information about the pieces as they walk through. The setting itself is stunning--beautiful rooms with high ceilings and large windows offering views of the mountains surrounding the university. The diverse exhibits, including Egyptian, Pacific Asian, and Himalayan sections, were thoughtfully arranged, making the space easy to navigate. To top it all off, there's even a small coffee shop area with tables inside and out, perfect for continuing the conversation about the exhibits with friends or loved ones. I can easily see this as a great date option for an afternoon--relaxed, engaging, and with plenty to talk about. Overall, a beautifully curated museum in a breathtaking location--well worth a visit.

The museum has two levels. It's quite smaller than other contemporary museums I've been to, but still have a lot of great, meaningful artwork and pieces. I'm talking dressed-up crowd, glitter everywhere, real champagne, and the kind of DJ who knew exactly when to drop Beyoncé, ABBA, and a surprise 2000s throwback that had all of us losing our minds. I came in thinking I might just sip something bubbly and leave before midnight. Instead, I danced for four hours straight, made new friends, and now have a very blurry selfie that might become a family heirloom. The setting was gorgeous, by the way. Big open spaces, cool lighting, and just enough art and architecture to make you feel elevated while also clutching your clutch and screaming the lyrics to "Mr. Brightside." The vibe was party, but in a classy way. Like you could go full glam and not feel out of place, but also not feel judged if you kicked your heels off before midnight and went rogue on the dance floor. Which I did. No regrets. Would I go again? Already planning my outfit. 10 out of 10, would ring in the new year under a disco ball surrounded by Salt Lake's most unhinged and best-dressed again.
