DreamWorks Theatre at Universal Studios Hollywood is a motion simulator attraction featuring Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor's Quest. It is an immersive short film featuring Po, Mr. Ping, and Master Shifu on a mission to protect the Jade Palace. The animation is stunning, with vibrant colors and detailed scenery. You'll feel like you've stepped right into the movie. It's a 10-minute family-friendly attraction with lots of kung fu action and comedy. It's a multi-sensory journey with roaring rapids, river pirates, and awesome magic. Overall, Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor's Quest is a fun and exciting attraction that is sure to please fans of the franchise.

This could be a little confusing for people because yes, it is the DreamWorks Theatre. But the theme of the show is actually Kung Fu Panda. I understand why it's called DreamWorks as they'll just throw what is hottest at the moment from the film studio in there. It used to be Shrek and for 5 years now has been Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor's Quest. It's a theater with pretty comfy seats and air conditioning! It offers a nice respite for about five minutes with some blowing wind as you whip around with the cute not-so-little Chi, Po, Mr. Ping, and Master Shifu. It's a fun show in a motion simulator type of experience. But don't go in expecting immersion, twists and turns. This is a chill show that doesn't even have belts on the seats as it's so tame. I like it and will always hit it up with newbies to the park. My friend's 5 and 7 year old stayed engaged so that was good. For me as an old lady, I don't need to go on this every time I'm in the park though. One and done for me! Being honest, the best part is all the character greetings outside. Meeting Donkey? Cuteness overload!

Still a good spot to chill and rest your feet in needed. Still showing kung fu panda. Cute especially for the little ones

Why the low ratings?! It's a nice place to relax and watch a show with some slight "thrill" (shaking seats, etc) if you need to take a break from actual ride rides at the park. We had an almost completely empty theater with only like, 10 other people, but we still had to wait like 5-ish minutes to get a party in and get the preview show in the lobby. There's a display of the legendary weapons in the series and they play a role in the story. Also neat that there was interaction and humor between the different iconic DreamWorks characters. The story follows Po, Master Shi Fu, and Mr. Ping on a journey to deliver the Liquid of Limitless Power to the Emperor. You travel through China with the trio, there's some thrills, water, cute bunnies and piggies, and of course Kung Fu! It's a 180 degrees show and the show is all around the walls, not just the front! It's very cute and fun and the effects are pretty nice. I'd go again for sure !

Located in Universal Studios Hollywood. This was formerly Shrek 3-D from a while back. This is now Kung Fu Panda Adventure. The theatre is still the same as before just a different show and no need for 3-D glasses. The Kung Fu Panda Adventure show is good. I'd recommend seeing this.

This ride doesn't exactly ooze awesomeness ¯\_('~')_/¯ I wasn't too thrilled with Master Po's adventures. In fact, I got dizzy and I don't know if it was because we sat at the first row at the very front of the screen or the sudden tilting and jarring of the seats. This attraction replaced the Shrek 4D attraction in the former Panasonic Theater. It is now "Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor's Quest" For me, I'm sorry, it was underwhelming. Once we got past the lobby where Shrek, Donkey and various "Trolls" and "Madagascar" characters were seen arguing trying to get a chance to star in their own show, Po finally wins and we join him inside the theater. In we all go... The mission: Po must deliver a "liquid of ultimate power" to the emperor and dodge rapids, broken bridges and the villainous Kang Wolf in the process. -sigh- The main action remained on the main screen in the center but it jumps to the side walls (180-degree screen). We felt seat vibrations and water mists as part of the effects. The seats in the theater will jiggle and shake, and spritzes of water will accent moments in the show. It all sounds incredible in the beginning. Too bad I can't seem to muster more enthusiasm for it, I guess I'm just not a big fan of Kung Fu Panda... how about we change it up to How to Train Your Dragon!! Frankly, I am tired of screen attractions :( Review #1322

This is a great small screening and a great way to take a break from the heat if you go to Universal Studios during the summer. They were showing Kung Fu Panda here so we decided to check it out. We used the express line so we didn't have to wait long. This can be consider a small ride but it's basically just sitting in a chair and it moves a little bit. We sat near the front so we had a great view of the screen. This is fine for any kids in general because it's not scary, bumpy or fast. You just sit and enjoy the show.

The premise of this theater has been lost over time. I really enjoyed the days of Shrek 4d. The 4d aspect made it somewhat exciting. When it changed over to the DreamWorks theatre I had high hopes for new and enjoyable shows. What we got was a mediocre show with very little to get excited about. The KungFu Panda show is a fun once in awhile show. The graphics are amazing, but besides that, it lacks the warmth and repeatability of the previous occupent. This show moves your seat violently mlst of the show. No 3d glasses and no extra effects. Also, when the show was announced, it was supposedly going to be there only for awhile before. It was supposed to switch out shows. Currently, it I still KungFu. Hoping for a new show in the future.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time this past weekend and I was excited to see the new changes since I was a fan of the Shrek 4D attraction it replaced. You are greeted at the ticket stall by a sleeping Pinicchio and then when you get closer to entering the theater, you pass movie posters of How To Train Your Dragon, Shrek and Kung Fu Panda on the outside of the building. Once inside, the waiting queue before heading into the actual theater has been redone and you get to see a pre-show that reminds me of how Disney did the Guardian of the Galaxy Mission Break Out when you go into a room and...Well you would need to try both rides to get what I'm saying lolz We finally entered the theater and of course the interior has been redone and during the show they actually used the side walls too, similar to when Disney had the Frozen Sing Along hehe I think what I didn't like was how fast the storyline went and it took a bit once we got to the end to realize what had happened. Overall, a good experience on this new attraction.

Love the new Attraction! Kung Fu Panda has such cute and funny characters. While you wait to sit down, all the Dreamworks characters come out a bit. This is an attraction, not a ride. It lasts about 12 mins. 4-D, so be prepared to be moving a bit and getting splashed (just a little). I would NOT suggest drinking coffee while enjoying this attraction. The people in front of us tried and ended up spilling some, LOL!

During a couple of the river rafting scenes, you will get mist (lightly) with water.

After watching Waterworld, my next stop was Kung Fu Panda, which is held inside the DreamWorks Theatre (formerly Shrek 4D). Express Pass Only! Wait Time: About 1 hour. However, the line moved pretty quickly along (unlike the wait at Minions). Make sure you have a decent amount of cell phone battery power with you. While waiting in line, there's really nothing much to keep you entertained other than to people watch. There's no TV screens playing clips of Kung Fu Panda either. Once you get to the front of the line, you're ushered into a small waiting that gives you the summary of what the story is about. Afterwards, you're allowed into the theater and you can sit wherever you like. There's really not a bad seat in the house. Storyline: Po and his crew must retrieve a Magical Hammer that was stolen and bring this special juice exilir to the Emperor. The Ride: You journey through the adventure with Po and his crew. You will get mist (lightly) with water during the river rafting scene. Your seat moves up, down and vibrates (gently). Don't worry, you won't get any motion sickness from this. Just think of it like a massage chair at the nail salon, lol! Overall, it's worth checking out. The graphics are amazing. The storyline is a bit cheesy and predictable, but at least, you can relax for the next 12mins while watching Po kick some bad guys' bums!

Basically, for anyone who still believes that the Magic is real. And I'm going to let me let you in on a little secret.... It is, very much Real. So pack your bags, head to Platform 9 3/4 and get on the Hogwarts Express! ALL ABOARD!!!!! To The Wizarding World of Harry Potter @Universal Studios Hollywood we go! --------------------- It was May 23rd, 2026.... We were celebrating my oldest daughter's Birthday who just turned 8 a few days prior. As she recently got into watching all of the Harry Potter movies and being that we hadn't been to Universal Studios in several years, none of us had experienced the Harry Potter World before. On the day of our visit, my oldest wore her Harry Potter outfit (Team Gryffindor, of course). I don't know who was more excited, her or me... But she looked Awesome and her beaming smile said it all! We were at the front gates at opening and our 1st stop was The WW of HP and upon walking through the gates of this Magical Land... We were all immediately transformed into another world. A world of Magic, of Mystery & of course Wonder. It was something special that only you seeing it for yourself will you truly understand the Magic. And as the wise Albus Dumbledore said himself, "Words are in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic." Yes, the true magic are the things that can be said about this place; the stories told, the memories created, the experiences shared by those who had yet to experience it before. And our experience was nothing short of Pure Magic. The Hogwarts Castle is absolutely Breathtaking; I simply could not get enough of it. Yeah, as we walked away for the final time that morning, I just couldn't stop looking back at it as I was filled with joy. From the.... Train conductor at the entrance who posed for a picture with my oldest was in character the entire time and he was a pure gem. To the themed shops, the butter beer, the interactive spots throughout the land were so much fun and it's definitely my new favorite spot within the park... And of course, the themed rides that absolutely did the movies justice and were extra fun because it was our first time. We had a blast! But the most magical part of our experience was the wand shop presentation where a child is selected from the audience as the "chosen one". My daughter was randomly selected as the "chosen wizard" and was pulled front and center to be apart of the wizardry show. It was experience she will hopefully never forget... I know I won't! A huge shoutout to Universal Studios and everyone behind making this place as real as our imaginations imagined Hogwarts would be.... You ABSOLUTELY Nailed it! Until our next adventure..... May the Magic in your heart, the imagination in your head and the hope in your spirit stay young forever.

As much as people praise Disney, there is no "land" that impressed me as much as Super Nintendo World (may be slightly biased since I'm more familiar with this IP than with Star Wars). Lots and lots of animatronics all around and the attention to details must be commended. Even the restrooms are very strongly themed with the background music changing to match and it being underwater themed too. If you have a wristband you can utilize the interactive aspects of this area, but even if you don't, it's definitely a must stop, even if you may not be much of a gamer. Bright, vibrant colors and so so much to work out. The fact that the "world" is stacked so high in the sky, really gives you the strong feeling of immersion as you are surrounded by everything you'd expect from jumping into a Super Mario game. Lots of photo ops with characters and just with the land as a back drop. There's the Toadstool Cafe, the Mario Kart ride, a shop, and so, so much to look at. Can't wait to come back again one day and not be rushed to finish all of the Fan Fest festivities.
