This small feature at Universal Studios has a purpose betrayed by its juxtaposition to the Jurassic Park ride. If you have offspring who are too short, too scared, or prone to climbing all over the stanchions and hand railings while standing in line, then the Dino play for kids area might be for you. You see, dear reader, dinosaurs can be very scary to small children. Even the fake, animatronic varieties-- because these ones roar and spit, and seem to have super intelligence, as well as immunity to electrical current and bumbling and failing human technology. So to curb their fear, have your children walk into the children's play area, to be greeted by... Wait for it... A 25 foot high terrifying skull of a triceratops, mouth agape, ready to devour your child. Once the crying ends, children will probably have a good time running around on the various cargo nets, stairs, and climbing things. Seating for adults is quite limited here, with only a few seat-walls and low curbs available. If you are lucky enough to secure a bench, good for you... Except they are very far from the only entrance and exit, and if you're anything like me... You're not supervising your kid very directly here. You're just watching the exit to make sure they don't go running by you between moments of looking up from your yelp review. All things considered, sometimes it's nice to just slow down at the park. There's no line here, it doesn't cost anything, and you don't have to wait 10 minutes for a refill here. Just the consummate joy of sitting on your duff while your kid runs around, approaching the critical mass of exhaustion necessary for falling asleep in the car on the way home. Winning indeed.

What can I say about this place? It's literally magical!…read more The thing about universal that they been doing so well done is making you feel like you are inside the actual movie (potter) or in this case a game As soon as you go into the tube you go the other side it's like boom!! Instantly feel like a kid and you can't stop smiling They made it very interactive but it sucks that when I first went the watches or trackers were like $12 but now I believe they are 3-4x the price The Mario kart ride is super super fun!! Lots of visuals to take in especially at the top of the Mario kart ride Hitting the cubes for the sounds is great Wish it was bigger lol

INSANE. My…read moreboyfriend said he almost got an aneurysm just walking inside. Extremely impressive and is a testament to how great the back drops and stage sets are for Universal Studios. As much as people praise Disney, there is no "land" that impressed me as much as Super Nintendo World (may be slightly biased since I'm more familiar with this IP than with Star Wars). Lots and lots of animatronics all around and the attention to details must be commended. Even the restrooms are very strongly themed with the background music changing to match and it being underwater themed too. If you have a wristband you can utilize the interactive aspects of this area, but even if you don't, it's definitely a must stop, even if you may not be much of a gamer. Bright, vibrant colors and so so much to work out. The fact that the "world" is stacked so high in the sky, really gives you the strong feeling of immersion as you are surrounded by everything you'd expect from jumping into a Super Mario game. Lots of photo ops with characters and just with the land as a back drop. There's the Toadstool Cafe, the Mario Kart ride, a shop, and so, so much to look at. Can't wait to come back again one day and not be rushed to finish all of the Fan Fest festivities.

The pizza had fresh veggies! I liked that. There was a decent amount of cheese. The crust was alright. It could have been hotter maybe? But other than that, it was decent. I would eat this again. Toadstool Cafe Mushroom Soup This was horrible. It was the worst mushroom soup I have ever had. It tasted like mushrooms ground up and thrown in a broth. Just gross. I would not order this again. The cup is cool, and you can keep that. Tasted like garbage. Hogsmeade Butterbeer Actually, not too bad! It's bubbly and frothy lol Had an okay flavor. It tasted like root beer to me lol I would get this again! Power Up Cafe Veggie calzone This was not half bad! It is super cute, comes a mushroom head. It tasted pretty good. It had lots of veggies in it and I wish it had more cheese. It was edible though. I would order one again. The cafe itself was adorable! Toadstool Cafe Pirahna Salad The salad was very fresh. Loved the presentation. I would not order it again though. It was expensive for what you get and not very filing.

We got to see the sets from so many different shows that I love, like Gilmore Girls, Friends, Abbott Elementary, and even movies. Our tour guide Philippe was exceptional. He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and insightful throughout the tour. He had so much joy and enthusiasm for the studio, and he made the experience amazing for me and my family. The museums had some really cool stuff like the Batman cars, the Friends set, and Sinners costumes. The only letdown was the very limited Harry Potter section, but overall it was a great experience. I see myself coming back again; I feel like there's still more to see.

A full Two hour guided tour riding around the back lot on a 15 passenger electric cart. Super knowledgeable driver / tour guide (Zack) talks you through the various backlot sets and sound stages with video presentations on the monitors mounted in the cart. There are several stops where you can get off to experience and hear details about shows and movies that used these specific sets. Very interesting seeing the building facades and landscaped grounds and the history of the studio. Our tour included a snack / continental breakfast and a lunch at the Friends Central Perk cafe restaurant. Both offered a decent selection of food and drink items. In the morning they served juices, coffee, tea, water, chips, cookies, danish to munch on before the tour started. Caveat is you only have 15 minutes to relax and enjoy before leaving for the tour. Lunch break happened at the end of our two hour guided tour. The tour package lunch included a hot or cold entree, side dish and drink. We were surprised at the selection and quality of the food. Various hot and cold sandwiches, salads, chips and a full selection of hot or cold, large or small coffee drinks. Even some blended coffee drinks. We ordered the hot Cuban sandwich, Cobb salad and a large iced coffee latte drink. The Cuban was hot but a little bit soggy but still tasty. Cobb salad super fresh and healthy. Coffee drink was solid with creamy topping. After lunch you begin the self guided portion of the tour which is inside stage 48? Where the restaurant was located. Film technology and costumes on display with various interactive display to participate. Harry Potter, Batman, Superman and other blockbuster movies artwork, costumes and videos on display. So much to discover. Easily spent 2 hours in there. Surprisingly they told us we also had entry into the Superman Experience. We did not know this was part of the tour. It is not mentioned in the marketing online. Unfortunately we ran out of time and had to skip this. Too bad as I think it is super popular. Regardless the tour was unexpectedly very entertaining and enjoyable. Weather was great not too hot. Highly recommended for folks looking for a break from the theme parks. Totally different in a good way from Universal Studio tour.

This ride is on the lower lot of Universal Studios, the last time I won on this was almost 20-years ago. They've done a great job at keeping this attraction fresh, with the addition of the Indominus Rex & T-Rex fight, a few extra spitting dimos, and aforementioned Mosasaurus. I took my seven-year-old son on this, who is a huge Jurassic Park lover, but I did not tell him about the 80-ft drop at the end. His face on the ride drop picture was totally worth it! He loved the ride so much that he rode it again with his mom. A few things... - Definitely get a poncho. We didn't do this and got a little wet, but not too bad! - Don't want to wait in line? If you ride solo you can hop right on Pro Tip: If you have child or attendee with you that's neurodivergent you can ask for a guest accessibility card or "IBCCES" through the Universal Studios website.
