This ride is a must when visiting Universal Studios Hollywood. It's located in the lower lot next to The Mummy. The scenes pay tribute to the classic Jurassic Park films and you'll see many different types of dinosaurs. It is a boat ride so you will get wet especially if you sit in the front or on the sides. Also, beware for the big drop!

Jurassic World The Ride was recently updated at Universal Studios Hollywood. This ride is located on the Lower Level Lot right next to The Mummy ride. Typically, there is a low wait time on this ride. You can get wet depending on where you sit! This cruise ride will take you through the Jurassic World. You may see a few different dinosaurs on this ride such as the Mosasarus, Stegosaurus, and even the Indominus Rex! The concept of the ride is that the Indominus Rex has escaped from the Paddock. There is a large drop at the end of the ride with a photo opportunity! This is one of my favorite rides at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Islands of Adventure! If you're a fan of the Jurassic World series and Dinosaurs, you should try out this ride! There is only one drop, towards the end, otherwise, the ride is a smooth cruise!

Re-Vamped! I truly enjoyed the renovated Jurassic World The Ride! I remember when the ride had an open drop concept. Now it's closed at the final drop. The ride itself is more enjoyable. They've added characters and clips from the Jurassic Park movies. I like the tunnel with tv screens of dinosaurs on it. It is very interactive in that you get squirted with water when going through the tunnel. I like the design and how they upgraded it. The seating is more comfortable too. You can't beat the Jurassic Park theme either! It is awesome and fun.

Perhaps one of the best water park rides! Part Hollywood tribute to a classic science fiction movie, and amusement park water ride. The scenes are from the original Jurassic Park movie, but the props, and dinosaurs are timeless. Caution: you will get wet on this ride, so sit in the middle and bring a change of clothes.

Jurassic World, an immersive area at Universal Studios Hollywood, features the thrilling attraction Jurassic World - The Ride. You will feel like you have stepped right into the movie! Jurassic World - The Ride is a thrilling ride that features an original story that takes place within the theme park as depicted in the blockbuster Jurassic World films. The original Jurassic Park - The Ride which operated from June 21, 1996, to September 3, 2018, underwent a major refurbishment and reopened as Jurassic World - The Ride. Guests enter through the Jurassic World gates and into a series of switchbacks. The queue is designed to look like Isla Nublar from the film. The queue is covered with posters and billboards explaining the dinosaurs at the park. Overhead, video monitors display "Jurassic World Network", the island's TV station which plays Dino facts and also interviews with characters from the film. As guests approach the loading area, smaller monitors display safety info before guests board their boat. Each boat is capable of holding up to 25 people. The ride begins by climbing the first lift hill and the boats are taken to the Mosasaurus Aquarium Observatory, encountering the Mosasaurus. The boats then go into Herbivore Valley, a lush tropical area, where riders meet a mother Stegosaurus and her baby and encounter a Parasaurolophus before entering Predator Cove, where riders see carnage has ensued after the Indominus rex escaped with the other dinosaurs. Riders overhear that the ACU (especially Dr. Wu) is being called in to round up the escaped dinosaurs, passing by a damaged Gyrosphere and a pair of Compsognathus / Procompsognathus fighting over a tourist's hat. Claire Dearing comes in over a monitor and tries to comfort the riders, but her signal cuts off before riders travel up the second lift hill, where they see the "Indominus" herself spying on them through a hole in the nearby wall. Owen Grady then patches in and advises the riders not to move out of the boat. He then sends Blue the Velociraptor to help the riders escape. As the boat nears the top of the lift, the first Velociraptor holding a destroyed electrical wire lunges at riders through the ceiling. Following attempts by two Dilophosaurus to spit venom (actually water) at riders and a close call with the Indominus, the riders meet up with Blue, who leads them to an exit, but the Indominus arrived there first. The Tyrannosaurus Rex then arrives and attacks the Indominus; their subsequent fight buying riders some time to escape. The boat then goes down the 84-foot drop, splashing all guests with water once it reaches the bottom and the ride ends. Finally, the riders exit the ride into the gift shop. This is a fun ride especially on summer days. You can enjoy the splash of water at the end. Also, be mentally prepared to get wet, no matter where you sit!

Express lane leads right up to the front!!

My oldest and I loved this ride. It's near Nintendo World, where we usually go first thing in the morning and then hit Jurassic ride before going back up. I didn't realize that the express pass literally brings you to the front. It's an extremely short walk too. Luckily, I didn't get soaked but my oldest did, haha.

Came here for the ride and we happened to ride on the first row and it was the most wattage spot!!! We came unprepared for that amount of water and as soon as the ride started we got shot so many times by those dinosaurs but it was very refreshing time in the hot summer weather! We all had a great time! :)

This is definitely one of the best and the most popular rides at the park. You will get wet so make sure you wear something that dries off fast. The ride starts off slow taking us through the Jurassic park introducing us to various Dinos. They have a story behind every ride here. This one is about one of the Dinos escaping the park and trying to catch us. It's an entertaining ride. The ending is amazing. The ride picks up speed and splashes in the end. On a hot day like this one, it was a great way to keep ourselves cool. Long lines for this ride. Highly recommend getting this one as soon as you enter the park or in the end.

The ride is in a boat so ya know you are goin to have some water action. The ride starts off very much like the movie. Us, tourists, set out to view Jurassic Park on a relaxing boat ride. Out in the open air, not in an enclosed room. We spot docile dinosaurs in the water aquarium and on land. But oh no, the alarms go off. Indominus Rex escaped and is on the loose. She is coming after us. Yikes. As she stalks us, we see other dinosaurs in a frenzy. But wait. Tyrannosaur Rex appears. An epic battle ensues between the two of them. As they fight, our boat plunges over 80 feet. Prepared to get wet, not drenched though just wet. The voice overs were of the actual actors from the movie (Chris Pratt and Bryce Howard). The animatronics is pretty neat. The dinosaurs moved and some even spit at you. Make sure you look right, left, in the water, and up high. Visually, there was so much to look at as the boat moved along.

"Please remain calm, we have assets out of containment and help is on the way." This is a universal studios Hollywood classic, and I love the refresh from the original Jurassic Park Ride. The animatronics are next level, and you truly feel immersed in the Jurassic Park universe. Easily this attraction was my parent's favorite ride, and in my top three. I'm more of a coaster enthusiast so The Mummy Ride has my heart. There is a ride photo, so be sure to smile as you make the drop to end the ride. The only downside is that they will run the ride even if the screens and animatronics are not running. This definitely impacts the quality of the ride, and wish they wouldn't run without it or allow you to return later when it is back to fully operational.

Disclaimer: I don't believe dinosaurs existed millions of years ago. In fact, most of these dinosaur depictions are pure fiction and make believe to help promote a mega billion dollar business IMHO but let's just say for the purpose of this review we can imagine they did exist millions of years ago. This ride is entertaining and well made. Dinosaur recreations are well made and leave little to the imagination. If you sit in front you will most likely get wet. We sat in back and still got a little wet but you will dry off quickly esp if it's sunny. The wait is somewhat long so prepare for a 40-55 minute wait if you go around 12 in the afternoon. My 8 year old son thought the ride was scary but enjoyed the experience. There is a playground next to the ride which is a good way for the kids to play and enjoy dinosaur fossil models and such. 3 solid stars for the ride!

    Jack R.

I honestly am not impressed with this new ride. Yes, it has great special effects, but it's way too short and it doesn't have enough dinosaurs. You go from the water dinosaur to all of a sudden tyrannosaurus like dinosaurs escaping who you really don't see until the end. Like 3 at the end? Then you drop and it's over. I literally couldn't believe the ride was that short! They also rerouted the splash zone so that when you drop you don't really splash people and I could be wrong but the drop seems shorter. I was disappointed. I guess they spent all their money on the stars who show up on screen for the introductions for the long lines. Waste of a two hour wait.

    Start adventure on a boat
    Teri K.

Dinosaurs, water, and Chris Pratt, what more is there to want? Go to the lower level to find this ride. The line is usually not too long. As you wait, you will wait amongst dino facts and also pre historic like plants. There is a video that gives some entertainment with the dinosaur facts and interviews with actors from the movie. The ride is a boat ride. Yes you will get wet. There are dinosaurs everywhere on this ride. The dinosaurs are cute but also scary. Little kids be wary because it can be scary for little ones. If you are scared of heights, just know there is one major drop at the end of the ride. Hit or miss if you get soaked or just splashed. Don't risk it on a cold day but perfect for a hot valley day. Bring a change of clothes or wear a poncho if you don't want to get too wet. It is a fun dinosaur Jurassic World adventure! A must for universal theme park!

We got the "early bird" ticket where we can enter the park starting at 2 pm. The fan fest night starts at 7 pm so we got to enter early to enjoy the park along with the public before the rest of the fan fest ticket holders. This experience was great and I would do it again. In between the transition, there was barely any wait for the most popular rides and I never waited more than 15 minutes for rides that normally would take 2 hours. They are building the fast and furious: Hollywood Drift ride here, which is a new roller coaster. It's supposed to open summer 2026, so we just missed it's opening. For fan fest, they had the Harry Potter theme, one piece, Mario/Nintendo theme, and a few others. The concept was pretty good and Nintendo Land had Mario characters, including Yoshi's, Mario, Luigi and toad. I didn't get to enjoy the one piece themed foods since we brought lunch in from the outside. Hogsmeade had a scavenger hunt also, but we did not participate. The butter beer always hits, and one of my faves. It's like cream soda on steroids. The rest of the park was normal. I liked walking around at night with less of a crowd. Best part was I did not have a panic attack this time. I also bought a robe, which I look forward to using.

In honor of my milestone 800th Yelp review…read more... We are going somewhere very, VERY Magical. A place not just for kids, but for adults, and even for the elderly... Basically, for anyone who still believes that the Magic is real. And I'm going to let me let you in on a little secret.... It is, very much Real. So pack your bags, head to Platform 9 3/4 and get on the Hogwarts Express! ALL ABOARD!!!!! To The Wizarding World of Harry Potter @Universal Studios Hollywood we go! --------------------- It was May 23rd, 2026.... We were celebrating my oldest daughter's Birthday who just turned 8 a few days prior. As she recently got into watching all of the Harry Potter movies and being that we hadn't been to Universal Studios in several years, none of us had experienced the Harry Potter World before. On the day of our visit, my oldest wore her Harry Potter outfit (Team Gryffindor, of course). I don't know who was more excited, her or me... But she looked Awesome and her beaming smile said it all! We were at the front gates at opening and our 1st stop was The WW of HP and upon walking through the gates of this Magical Land... We were all immediately transformed into another world. A world of Magic, of Mystery & of course Wonder. It was something special that only you seeing it for yourself will you truly understand the Magic. And as the wise Albus Dumbledore said himself, "Words are in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic." Yes, the true magic are the things that can be said about this place; the stories told, the memories created, the experiences shared by those who had yet to experience it before. And our experience was nothing short of Pure Magic. The Hogwarts Castle is absolutely Breathtaking; I simply could not get enough of it. Yeah, as we walked away for the final time that morning, I just couldn't stop looking back at it as I was filled with joy. From the.... Train conductor at the entrance who posed for a picture with my oldest was in character the entire time and he was a pure gem. To the themed shops, the butter beer, the interactive spots throughout the land were so much fun and it's definitely my new favorite spot within the park... And of course, the themed rides that absolutely did the movies justice and were extra fun because it was our first time. We had a blast! But the most magical part of our experience was the wand shop presentation where a child is selected from the audience as the "chosen one". My daughter was randomly selected as the "chosen wizard" and was pulled front and center to be apart of the wizardry show. It was experience she will hopefully never forget... I know I won't! A huge shoutout to Universal Studios and everyone behind making this place as real as our imaginations imagined Hogwarts would be.... You ABSOLUTELY Nailed it! Until our next adventure..... May the Magic in your heart, the imagination in your head and the hope in your spirit stay young forever.

The attention to detail throughout the entire area is incredible, from the architecture and music to the little interactive elements hidden throughout the land. Even if you're not a huge Harry Potter fan, it's still an experience worth visiting because the atmosphere alone is so immersive. One of the best parts was how well the staff stayed in character and interacted with guests. Team members were friendly, helpful, and did a great job managing the crowds, especially around the more popular attractions and shops. Even when the area became busy, employees kept lines organized and answered questions without seeming rushed. The rides were definitely the highlight. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was one of the most impressive theme park rides I've experienced. The wait time can get long very quickly, especially in the afternoon, so I highly recommend going early in the day if possible. Universal's app was helpful for checking ride times throughout the day. Flight of the Hippogriff had a shorter wait but was still fun, especially for families or anyone wanting a lighter ride experience. Food and drinks are expensive, but honestly the themed snacks and Butterbeer are part of the experience. Butterbeer is a must-try at least once. The frozen version was my favorite, especially in the California heat. Seating around the food areas fills up fast during peak hours, so timing your meals earlier or later than normal lunch times can help avoid crowds. The shops inside Hogsmeade were extremely detailed, but they do get packed. Ollivanders was one of the busiest areas during my visit, and there was a wait to get inside. If you want an interactive wand experience, be prepared for the wands to be pricey, but the interactive spell locations throughout the land make it more fun and worth it for fans. One thing visitors should know is that this area gets crowded very quickly, especially midday and during weekends or holidays. Taking photos can sometimes require patience because there are constantly people walking through the main pathways. Early mornings and evenings seemed to be the best times for photos and shorter lines. Overall, this was one of the most immersive themed areas I've visited at any park. Universal did an amazing job bringing the Harry Potter world to life, and it truly feels like an attraction you could spend hours exploring. Definitely worth adding to your Universal Studios Hollywood visit.

Lots and lots of animatronics all around and the attention to details must be commended. It had lots of veggies in it and I wish it had more cheese. It was edible though. I would order one again. The cafe itself was adorable! Toadstool Cafe Pirahna Salad The salad was very fresh. Loved the presentation. I would not order it again though. It was expensive for what you get and not very filing.

Luigi's pizza 3.5/5 $10 a slice. big slices. flavor is okay. kids enjoyed it. whole pizza is $55 for 8 large slices. Loaded chicken nachos (minion cafe) 4/5 good but i was not able to pay for extra cheese which it could have used. big enough to share. Chicken strips & fries (wedges) 3/5 (harry potter) also came with purple grapes. good for the kids. small portions $10. Mac & cheese w/fries (wedges) 1/5 (harry potter) also came with purple grapes. greasy and no cheese flavor at all. kids wouldn't even eat it and my son eats everything. $10 Cream cheese pretzel (snack bar) 2/5 wanted to try the jalapeño and cheese one but they were out of jalapeños but after eating this one i might not bother trying it. it was super dense and not enough cream cheese and it tasted weird like maybe it was cooked to much (maybe they're better fresh) 10/11/2023 chicken sandwich (jurassic cafe) 4/5 pretty bomb. my favorite thing i ate the whole trip. they skimped on the aoili and cooked veggies but over all very good. came with wedges. burger (jurassic cafe) 3/5 according to my husband it was kind of dry but okay over all. came with wedges. chicken empanadas (jurassic cafe) 2/5 tasted nothing like traditional empanadas. similar to the filling of a pot pie and weren't great. the chimichurri sauce was also just okay, very thick. sticky toffee pudding (harry potter 3 broom sticks) 5/5 we loved it! reminded me of a warm apple cake with a crunchy outside & paired with vanilla ice cream made it perfecttttt ice cream soda (mario cart outside mario land) strawberry 3/5 & green apple 2/5 my kids were not impressed with either flavor and didn't finish them but they were cute and fun. they had flavored sode, vanilla ice cream & boba at the bottom.

As a huge fan of the The Big Bang Theory, I was so excited for this experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and friendly. Our tour guide was hilarious and shared so many fun behind-the-scenes facts throughout the tour. One of the highlights was getting to sit on the famous couch from the Friends set. Now I want to go back and binge-watch the entire series again. Whether you're a TV fan or just looking for a unique Los Angeles experience, this tour is definitely worth checking out.

I was expecting something different but maybe it's my fault. I know a good amount of Warner…read morebrothers films and shows so I thought I would be prepared. The tour was mostly of sets that included sitcoms like "Friends" and you simply walk around them and visit them. Most of the buildings are empty on the inside to show you but the novelty wears off quickly. You will do this for about an hour and then are dropped off in a museum section which has lots more. They did have other unique things to see like the force perspective and sound effects but that's just it. You exit into a gift shop that is near entirely made of "Friends" souvenirs. You return to the main building for a small DC and Harry Potter section and then straight to the gift shop. I was fairly underwhelmed by it. I expected a bit more in explanation and showing things instead of here's so and so from this show. The museum portion was more of a photo op than anything. I don't think I would return.

The Wizard World!!!…read more Hogsmeade has so much to offer. The first time I came here, I think I didn't do my research and missed out on some things. This time, I was prepared and wanted to do everything lol Hogsmeade is the place to buy robes to represent your Hogwarts House, and to grab your favorite magical wand! Run around with your robe, doing some spells with your wand lol There's plenty of Harry Potter gifts and souvenirs here as well. Make your way to the candy store, for some chocolate frogs and love potion. Then head over for some freshing butterbeer! I love that butterbeer is alcohol free, but you can find spiked butterbeer in the world. Don't forget about the two rides in Hogsmeade! One is a rollercoaster, and the other is a motion-based ride. The motion ride will make you feel sick if you get motion sickness. The rollercoaster is so quick! Over in 30 seconds lol Lots to do in this world and tons of fun! :)

From Ollivander's to Honeydukes, there's something for everyone! They have some shops from the series that you'll recognize as well, mostly for decor. They have interactive windows for wand holders which really make it immersive. Otherwise they still make for a great photo op! Always a place we like to drop by and highly recommend eating at the three broomsticks. It's fun just wandering around in your house outfit/colors. IG: @ammysalamii
