I came in here for my 2nd appointment for wedding dress try ons and I was in absolute awe by everything. They had a lovely selection of dresses! I am also very impressed with Jacqueline as well. She assisted us with the dresses we were trying on and she was the only one doing the appointments that day. I've come here a few times over the years, and they are always helpful and friendly. Most recently, I came here with a group for bridesmaid dresses, and we came directly from another appointment, so I was able to compare one place to another. The woman who helped us here talked over all of our options and knew every single answer to our questions (there were lots!). She wasn't pushy. She didn't make us feel like we were taking up her time. She was so attentive. Just wish I could remember her name! I do like how at David's Bridal and some other salons, the options are available to try on in more colors and sizes, but I realize that a smaller, noncorporate place can't do that. Well let's see...where shall I begin!??? My daughter, the bride to be, had an appt for a bridal dress "finding, trying on" etc.. The appt was for 12:00pm on a Saturday and we arrived just prior to 12:00 noon. When we walked into the front door, we saw approx. 3 woman (*possibly more) standing around at this very small reception counter at which all of the employees were hovering around! At first all they asked was "How can we help you ladies?" My daughter explained (with her bridesmaids, maid of honor, her future mother in law and me by her side), that she had a 12:00 noon appt there, with them! At first I was shocked by the total lack of enthusiasm of the employees and their lack of respect for my daughter, the future bride who should've been getting the "royal treatment" today! The first thing when we walked in we noticed how very tiny this store is. They again asked if we were "here for the "trunk show". We were not and we again mentioned our appointment time of noon! One of the very lethargic and Unenthused employees took us to only a modest dressing room; where we could pile our stuff onto a couple of hooks or the floor! There was already one bride there trying on dresses and that party had the only chairs, mirrors and spot to actually try on and be together for this "special day"! I am disabled and was never even offered a chair! I need to stress again how NO ONE wanted to help us! You'd have thought we came in with 20$ and were not intending to buy a wedding dress! My daughter was disheartened already by this point and she was ready for tears when she realized there was not going to be any 1 on 1 time with a dress shop employee. It did not seem to matter that we had scheduled this appt about 2 weeks prior!! Somebody was in our chairs, trying on dresses for their own family/friends. There was no other room, spot or place for us to go in this teeny tiny "cracker box" place! A lady finally told us to go upstairs and off to the side for the "trunk show"; which we knew nothing about! Then one woman finally asked my daughter what the "price range" was today for her wedding dress?? My daughter gave a realistic but modest price and they said that "those dresses" are upstairs"! We proceeded to go up the stairs, me with my cane, and chronic pain issues; but I did it! My daughter looked for all of 3 Minutes before saying "Nothing feels right about this place! I'm not getting the special treatment or feeling like a bride to be should be receiving!"...Next words out of her mouth were "Let's get out of here !" The women did not help, they did not offer to help, they did not pull dresses or give any idea whatsoever! This was the worst, or I should say, "most awful", dreadful "non" - dress searching place that I've ever had the displeasure to visit! We walked out and not one of the employees said a word! They never asked, never helped and couldn't have cared a less that we left! My daughter was ready to buy today! She had an appointment and none of them cared! It was an awful experience for me and very disappointing for my daughter, the bride to be! I do Not recommend this bridal shop at all if you want that one on one , pampered "bride to be" time! When first walking in, the store is quite stark and it doesn't seem like there is much of a selection. But in Jacqueline's capable hands, there was plenty to try on! I had an amazing experience here! Jacqueline, the lovely woman with the Scottish accent, was helping me and my matrons of honor pick a bridesmaid dress. She listened to what I was looking for and made wonderful suggestions because I was having a hard time coming up with exactly what I wanted. Jacqueline actually picked the dress we ended up going with! She took a lot of time with us and I could tell she was genuinely interested in helping us and not just concerned with making a sale. I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful Bridal Couture is. First, they were extremely accommodating at my first appointment. The consultant really listened to what I was looking for (and my mom) and helped pin point me to the dress of my dreams. While I didn't purchase THE DRESS that appointment, three days later I came back, right before closing wanting to try the dress on again as I kept comparing every other dress to this one. They kept the salon open past closing for me to make my decision. Of course I said yes! And as we were finalizing the purchase we saw the bridesmaids dresses that I've been looking for. They had just arrived. It was like serendipity. I highly suggest this salon for any bride. Jacqueline was so accommodating and helpful. Jacqueline was AMAZING...so took the time to help me try on many dresses and made us laugh and thoroughly enjoy the experience. Would not recommend. First there are maybe 50 dresses here tops. If you are looking for an A-line dress, they only had 2. Oh and make sure you don't say any cuss words in the store. Their staff is very sensitive about that and management will leave a voicemail on your mom's cell phone to complain that she swore (not at someone, just in general). I have been looking at the stars for a few now and trying to decide how many stars to give this place.... For this overall experience, and let me tell you girls buying a dress is an experience. My girlfriend and I walked in here on a cold day, since I was getting married in March. My fiancee and I got engaged at the end of December and thought waiting a year would just be too long... lets just get it over with! So we decided to get married in 3 and a half months. When I walked in the sales lady was a little taken back that we were doing things so quickly and told me it really limited the dresses I could get to anything on the rack. Nothing could be ordered because it takes months to get... ok, heard that at one other place and wasnt surprised... My girlfriend pulled out a very non-traditional dress and asked me to try it on- it looked good but for me, "the dress" doesnt exist... it just had to be in the right price range and look good. It fit both of the criteria... kind of. The dress was a little out of my price range and add the ridiculous price of alterations and it wouldnt be possible. So, I thought about it. Then my mom and I went out to check out the three dresses that I was thinking about... of course, there was so much pressure about getting one of them because "they are rack dresses and they are a one of a kind..." eh, I figured if I found 3, if they all magically were sold in a few week period- I would find others...My mom liked it and I didnt feel like shopping anymore. I am not a girlie girl, so two stores and 10 dresses (or less) were enough. I asked what the lowest price they can give me for the dress was- including alterations.... they told me $X... I said well, although I did like that dress better the one at the other store didnt require any alterations... it was as if it was made to fit my body. I told them that if they thought about it and changed their mind and could do $Y, I would purchase the dress on the spot. Mom and I walked around downtown Plymouth for a bit and we got the call. They accepted the price, including alterations. Alterations went ok, I guess. I have not done them before, but the needle poking, etc got old pretty quickly. The seamstress was nice and funny. I had to go for 3 fittings and guess what the bottom line price for all alterations were.. more than both X and Y... actually, if you add them together. In summary, the alterations cost a lot more than the dress did because what we agreed on was different than what was needed. Although the people were very nice. The owner, Jacqueline (sp?), was very friendly and helpful. I think that they (and almost all other companies in the bridal industry) just think it is acceptable to gauge their clients because of the event. My ultimate goal was to minimize the cost of something that wasnt important but failed..... Of course, I wont be getting married again, so I cant say that I would be back. It is a decent store with friendly staff but my recommendation will include "sure, you can go but expect to spend a fortune." And for me, the dress isnt worth it. read more

Everything about this bridal salon is great. Making an appointment was easy. I was greeting with warmth and treated with respect. After trying on several gowns, several times I needed some time to think about it. Even though Jacqueline knew that I was under a huge time crunch, there was no pressure to buy. After visiting some other local shops, I knew the gown I wanted and the service I wanted was here. I returned, purchased my gown off the rack (because I didn't have time to order a new one) and they did a fantastic job making the size 12 Enzoani mermaid gown into a perfect size 2! Amazing bridal boutique. The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and organized. The natural light let in by all the windows really showcases the gowns. I was immediately greeted by two women, Claire and Jacqueline. These women were friendly and warm but very professional. They assessed my needs right from the get go. They asked me what my budget was and did not show me anything that would tempt me outside of that budget. I really appreciated this as I was going to purchase my dress myself. Don't let the name of the boutique intimidate. They have beautiful designer dresses for less than $1000 and an ample sample/sale selection. What most impressed me was the knowledge these women had regarding their inventory. They knew every dress; designer, fabric, etc. And they showed me dresses based on my tastes I had described. They took their time with me and encouraged me to try on the dress I loved more than once. Claire and Jacqueline portrayed a genuine and enthusiastic interest in me finding "the one" without being pushy. I never once felt pressured to purchase. As a nurse, I really appreciate excellent customer service and these ladies delivered. If there were more stars to give, this bridal salon would have received them. I had an excellent experience at Bridal Couture of Plymouth, and I wanted to share since the other reviews are not so good. I live in DC but am originally from MI, so I went there to try on dresses with my mom and sister. Jacqueline was extremely kind and helpful, and I found a designer dress that I loved and purchased it right away. Since I live out of town, they gave me a few different options for trying it on and alterations, and the seamstress who did my bustle was also very nice. I originally purchased a veil from there as well, but when I tried it on with the sash I purchased, it didn't look right together. Jacqueline let me exchange the veil and made things extremely easy for us. The price range is above average to high, but that is expected for designer wedding gowns! After many horrible dress shopping experiences, I walked into yet another bridal shop. But to my surprise, as soon as I walked into this adorable shop on Main Street, in Plymouth, I knew I would be buying my wedding dress here. I could tell they really loved their jobs and helping women make such a big decision for their big day. One of the consultants, Jacqueline, was wonderful!! She was not over the top, but very interested in my thoughts of her dresses and what would look best on me. I felt right at home, and every dress I came out she gave me a great opinon on and explained the dress to me. She then helped me rank it so that it was easier to distinguish the ones I loved, and didn't like, until I made my decision - Danielle by Leann Belter. I actually just went into the shop a few days ago, with a friend, and Jacqueline remembered me, my name, and the dress that I purchased 2 years ago!! She is a doll and is so good at her job. She loves her job, and it shows. I also loved that most times I went in for a fitting, I was the only one in the store. I felt like it was all there for me. It also gave me the time to actually think of what I thought about my dress, and not having 15 other women walking my, with their entourage, discussing their dress choice, or commenting on mine. I loved the intimate feeling of the shop. It made me feel calm, in a world of crazy that was planning a wedding. I loved going there, every single time. They had just moved into a new location and everything was very calming and had a posh look to it. I had a very unpleasant experience in this wedding salon. My niece brought me with her to search for a gown because she values my opinion and I am a stylist. My niece starting selecting gowns and Jacqueline placed them in a dressing room. I found another gown and hung it in the dressing room. Jacqueline brought the dress out of the room and asked who placed it in there. I promptly told her I did and she firmly said that no one is to put gowns in the room unless the bride says it 's okay to do so. What????? That is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard. I was brought to shop for gowns because I am her aunt and I know what style my niece is interested in. Needless to say, we cut our stay short and headed to The Wedding Shoppe in Berkley. I couldn't be happier in my choice to find/buy my wedding dress at Bridal Couture! There was a specific Jim Hjelm dress I wanted to try on and Bridal Couture was the only store in Michigan that had it. I emailed Bridal Couture to set up an appointment and they were very quick to respond. I also inquired about a few other dresses to try on, most of which they had. My initial appointment was fantastic! I worked with Jacqueline who was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and overall just awesome! I had a tough time deciding on which dress to go with and tried the same dresses on several times and Jacqueline never rushed me or made me feel like I was taking too much time. She was also very helpful in picking out accompanying accessories to try on with the different dresses. My follow up appointments for alterations went equally as well. Debbie was great to work with and she did a fantastic job altering my dress. My experience with this establishment was absolutely terrible. If I had the option to give no stars then I would have done so. Thank goodness I didnt buy my wedding dress from BC of Plymouth. However I am standing in a wedding and this was one of the places that carries a specific designer. Some of the rest of the bridal party are in a different state and this way we could get dresses of the same color. I ordered my dress on february the 29th. I will preface what comes next by stating that I did this so I wouldnt have to worry about not having the time to get the dress altered and such. I got married on the 28th of July and the wedding Im standing in is Sept 22nd. With so much planning for my own event I wanted a buffer so I wouldnt have to worry. The sales clerk at bridal couture told me the dress would take 3 months to arrive. 3 months later no dress and no communication. when mentioning this to the bride she then informed me they called her and said they hadnt ordered it yet that they would be putting in the order and it would arrive mid August. The situation confused me because I told them to go ahead and order the dress and not to wait for others in the bridal party as they were not all purchasing their dresses from BC. They did not have many sizes to accomodate some of the girls. When I came home from honeymoon. (Two weeks after July 28th) I called BC and my dress still had not arrived. I expressed my displeasure with the spotty communication. I was then told my dress would arrive on the 24th of August. The manager said that she would have someone call me when it came in and if for some reason it didn't someone would still call me due to the terrible communication in the past. Additionally due to the hold up they would overnight it to my home no charge. Aug 24th came and went- no call hte followind day nor the day after. I then called them at roughly 3 on Monday the 27th. At this juncture I was very upset and let them know it- it is less than a month until the wedding and I still need to have the dress altered. Two phone calls and an email later I am then given a fed ex tracking number. I am informed the dress will be delivered on Tue. Later that evening I get yet another call informing me that the shop would be closed on Tuesday. So then I could come and get my dress on Wed. I asked the clerk why she would tell me it was to arrive on tuesday and not tell me they would be closed in the first place. I emailed the owner expressing all i went through. I am not even typing all of the headache and idiocy I had to go through to save space on here. The owner did contact me the next day only to continue to tell me the same things the clerks had said over and over. Defensiveness and more excuses. Not a stich of contriteness or any guarantees that this would be averted in the future.I hung up with the woman and called back later to just cancel the order and get a refund. Poor business acumen and customer service. I was not able to get a hold of anyone at the plymouth store until today, wed. I then asked the manager to just give me a refund that I would take my chances. 1pm and still no dress. 6 freaking months. The manager stated she was not authorized to give me a refund and that she doubted the owner would refund all that I had paid... Apparently these people think that patrons can drop anything to run on over and get merch, or not, whenever they happen to get things in. I had to email the owner yet again to get any kind of resolution. I had to basically threaten her with the breach of contract just to get my money back. unreal. Nice customer service. I have many friends that are getting married and would never ever suggest this place to anyone. read more

This store was extremely welcoming to my group even though I had not booked an appointment and it was a Saturday morning. Even though I did not choose my dress from this store I would highly recommend it for its service, professionalism and over all experience. The lady helping me with dresses was named Jacqueline. Ask for her! She made you feel very comfortable and thought of other ideas or dress options once you started to narrow it down. You did not feel any pressure to purchase a gown and she gave me great tips on how I would know it was the "one". Great experience! read more

Where do I begin???? Bridal couture was the last of my appointments scheduled for a weekend marathon of dress shopping and if only I had come here first!! Debbie was amazing to work with, she listened to me and immediately "got it" when I described my ideal dress for my wedding day. She made countless and invaluable suggestions on modifications to the dresses that could be made to achieve the look I was hoping for. My mother and best friend were with me and she made us all of us feel very welcome, which was not our experience with other boutiques. Debbie was so kind, patient, knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire experience. In fact the entire staff was there to help including Jacqueline and Debbie the talented seamstress who is transforming the gown to be my own which requires significant changes that she is happy to make. I live out of state and the team is accommodating the alterations and subsequent fittings around my travel schedule which takes customer service to the next level. The boutique had a fantastic selection, is warm and inviting and should be the only place you go to find your perfect wedding dress. My mother adored the entire staff and the boutique that she refuses to go anywhere for her mother of the bride dress so much in that she purchased a gown from Debbie as well.
