They should be called Dressed Down now. I used to Loooove this place, recommend it to everyone. It was seriously my go to dress store so you could imagine my dissapointment when I walked in and saw nothing but racks and racks of cheap clothes. It felt like walking into an underground old wearhouse. Ok thats a bit dramatic but you get my point. I would give it a 1 or 2 star but the employees were too nice. I really wish they brought back more "dressy" options. Anyway, if youre looking for dresses, dont waste your time. If your looking for cheap tops and pants then maybe you should check it out but I for one wont be back. Wow, I am shocked that there are no yelpers that have written a review of this store. This is part of the classic "Alley in the Valley". This is the place to go for discount evening wear. They have a great variety at great prices. My mom and aunt have been going here for years. It is there go to place when they need a dress for a wedding/bar mitzvah. Even though I didn't get my dress for the family wedding here last summer, it wasn't because of lack of options. I just didn't find the dress here, which happens at the best places. But my aunt and mom found their dresses in the 15 minutes before I arrived. Other than that it is a great little shop where you always feel welcome. If you don't have family members throwing their suggestions at you in the dressing room, the sales staff is always more than happy to help with ideas and suggestions. If my family members have been going there for decades they must be doing something right. read more

The first wedding gown I ordered online was way too big and the wedding was only a month away. I found another gown I loved in a magazine ad and was referred to Dressed Up! The gown was actually a prom dress, but I explained that it was for my upcoming wedding. A store clerk placed a special order and called a couple of weeks later when the dress arrived. I had ordered a cream and gold dress -- the one that was delivered was white. But at least I was able to try it on to check the fit. The owner Michael Weintraub called personally when my cream and gold dress finally arrived, two days before we were to leave for Italy. It was a blessing in disguise that things worked out this way. The first dress had a train, which would never have worked for a Siena wedding. Our photographer had us climbing all over Medieval buildings, up and down hundreds of ancient stairs. My street-length "prom dress" wedding gown stayed perfectly clean. My wedding shoes didn't fare as well, and went right into the trash that evening! I've since been back to Dressed Up! several times to purchase evening wear and gift items, like shawls and beaded evening bags. The prices are great, and so is the customer service. read more

The customer service is very bad. I came here looking for a dress. Nobody greeted me when I walked in the door. I took 5 dresses into the dressing room. And nobody asked if I needed any help. I finally found a dress that fit, but the price was way too expensive. So I went to the mall & found a better dress for a lot CHEAPER price. read more

This place is a hidden little gem in the valley. Although you would have to have the time and energy to look through a whole lot of, in my opinion, much too flashy dresses for my taste; you will very likely find yourself a beauty amongst the crowd just about every time. This place was great!! I admit it's in a weird location and I didn't expect a dress shop hidden back there. I loved the great service and honest feedback. I fell in love with 2 dresses. One was $200 and one was $450. I wasn't pressured to spend more then I was comfortable with. I got an amazing black dress that I will be wearing on the red carpet for the Grammy's. I drove over an hour to this place because they advertise on their website hundreds of dresses, including bridal collections, formal wear and prom dresses. When I got there it was just one small, somewhat dark shop with about six racks of formal dresses that looked like they belong in Vegas (lotsa bling, leopard print and ruffles, hot pink, lime green with slits up to there), stripper dresses, and some inexpensive polyester mom pantsuit outfits. The smallest size gown they had was an 8. I asked "where are the bridal gowns and formal dresses?" and the girl said "oh, we don't have any". When I asked why they are on the website but nothing in the store, she said people usually call and they tell them that. read more

I was extremely disappointed when I finally made my way up to the valley. The customer service was minimal at best, and I wanted help. All of the sizes for Mother of the Bride dresses were enormous -- and if you order something - you have to buy it. They did carry a few dresses in the brand I was interested in, so at least it gave me some sense of what worked. The majority of the long gowns were for older people and were not that attractive. I love love love the store! HUGEEEEE selections. They carry all kind styles - short, long, over the top, u name it. AND for all occasions - wedding, party, prom, etc. I got my cute "cupcake" beaded cocktail style dress (Faviana I believe? GEOGEOUS!!) from here at an affordable price. I think it was only $250ish., and I normally spend over $500 for a beautiful beaded gown for a wedding event. I don't recycle dress and looking good is my first priority! This store gives me just that - wide varieties to choose from. I spent over 2 hours looking for "the dress" just because I wanted every dress I touched! Hard to choose! And if you consider a $200+ dress is too much for a 5 hour-long event, you certainly can find other styles that are less than $200 that fit into your budget. All I know, I felt pretty in that dress and received a lot of compliments from the wedding guests. =) LOL. GO THERE! read more

Mr. Weintraub was so helpful. My daughter saw a prom dress she wanted online. I went to the Dressed Up! website they had the same dress and it was cheaper. I have always been hestitant about ordering online because you never know how its going to fit and if your going to like it. They really care. When you're around for 20+ years in the same location you must be doing something right. Of course the selection is ample and the prices are very fair but it is the personal attention and caring service that gets me coming back.. I have to agree with my fellow yelpers! I have loved shopping here for years. I always find that special, unique something something for an event. Just when I thought I'd have to settle, I get lucky there. I don't like to look like everyone else or wear clothing that i have seen all over. On my last visit for a Bat Mitzvah dress for my daughter, I left with 2 additional dresses to hang on to for just the right occasion. We had been searching for weeks until making this our last stop; next time it will be my very first and only ! The staff is lovely and patient. Definitely worth the drive. We came all the way from the Inland Empire after exhausting all the stores, Macy's (terrible) Nordstoms(rediculous) Windsor's(sure to have someone else wearing your prom dress)Group USA(close, but poor fit). After seeing the spot on Alley in the Valley on a local TV station, my daughter and I knew we had to someday make the trek, and Prom was the best excuse! It was love at first sight. Michael was so accommodating and nice. After trying on everything in her size, the dress she truly wanted had to be ordered, which Michael was able to do and give a discount too! She was so excited to get the dress she wanted, the look on her face when she saw it hanging behind the counter, priceless. My wife needed a dinner gown for a charity event and we decided to try Dressed Up after hearing several radio ads. Not what we expected. Has the feel of second hand store or a hollywood prop house outlet. Needless to say we found nothing appropriate and I was disappointed in the sales staff. One young girl wandering around the store snapping her gum with a I really don't want to be here look on her face. i not sure that i was in the same store that other reviewers rated. it was very disappointing. small space not a lot of variety. i didnt see a lot of mother of the bride dresses, and there was a big banner out front. and the prices were much different from loehmans. read more
