Wow. Really disappointing. My partner and I found a place online that we were really interested in seeing. We drove by it twice, and even though we both thought it seemed a little expensive for what it was, it kept coming up in conversation and he kept comparing other properties we toured to this one. I've worked a little bit with someone else from Ascent (who I had a good experience with) and so anticipated the same from Drew. As I said, I was really disappointed. I left a message on his work line over the weekend, and Drew was really rude when he called me back. The conversation didn't go well from the start. Condescending, demanding, and abrupt. At one point, he apologized for his tone, but then went right back to having the same rude tone with me. All I'd said is that I didn't want to give him my e mail address because I really didn't want to be signed up for a bunch of real estate updates. This could've been really easily addressed if he'd said 'Oh, no, I don't want to sign you up for anything, I just need to e mail you X'. That wasn't how it went though. He went straight into bullying and trying to argue with me. After he went on with his 'Well YOUUUU called MEEEE out of NOWHEREEEE' (seriously dude? YOU ARE SELLING HOUSES. Your phone number is ON THE SIGN), I finally cut him off and told him it didn't sound like we'd be a good match to work together. I feel bad reviewing him after just one phone conversation. We used Drew to sell our row home/condo and purchase a single-family home. Drew's strengths, solving problems, finding ways to overcome challenges and his effective approach (listening + due diligence + strategic marketing plan + communication) led us to sell our condo in 30-days at 99% of our asking price and $37,000 more than the condo for sale behind us, which hit the market before ours did and is 200 square feet larger. Drew lead's a team that handled all the details (even attending showings) and kept us informed with weekly updates. Even when things go wrong, and they invariably will, Drew does the right thing. He resolved an issue with our listing's text, smoothed things over, which enabled the sale to complete. The new house we selected was a flipped property and as is typical the investor did a lot of the aesthetics, but not the more practical items, such as not replacing the furnace, hot water heater and there was no air conditioning. As you can imagine negotiating with an investor takes skill, but Drew was able to garner a credit for these items, even though the air conditioning was considered an 'optional upgrade' by the investor.
