Talking, music, steps, tv. We could hear everything. The front desk agent very kindly moved us to a room on the top floor before he left for the night. It was a LOT better to not have noise from above, but we could still hear everything in the room next to us. It's centrally located, which is nice. Staff was accommodating. The lobby and exterior of the buildings are so cute. But for $200/night, which is what I paid for a weekend, I'd probably opt to stay somewhere with thicker walls.

There were also a lot of brown stains on the carpet. The room was updated nicely. Very small. Bathroom door is literally right at the foot of the bed in the queen room. Unfortunately the curtains in the room were thinner and not blackout, and there were very bright lights outside the door. This made the room extremely light at night, and we had difficulty sleeping. The location was at the very far south end of town, so you did need to walk quite a ways to reach most things. The sidewalk did not extend all the way to this hotel, which made it a bit precarious walking in the street.

But everyone has a different experience so I didn't let that stop us. For sure the lady at the front desk is no nonsense. I saw her the next day cleaning rooms as well so she's very involved and I'm sure has been wronged many times. This is understandable when you work with the general public. We had a great experience. We stayed for three nights and no problems at all. She was very accommodating and friendly. No bad experience. As far as the room: We stayed on the second floor (with a balcony), which overlooked a beautiful stream below and a grassy hill with cows, plus I could hear turkeys. At night you hear frogs croaking, which was so cool. Everything was really clean. Which is the most important. One thing I'd like to note. Since there are only two chairs, one of which is not comfortable to lounge in at all. It's not the most comfortable room to hang out in for long periods of time. There's no couch and coffee table so if you bring food in, you would have to set it on the desk and move the chairs around. I wish there was a more comfortable seating area. Other than that the bed was good. It's a little soft for my taste and my back had a little discomfort but if you like soft beds, it's great. But this room was a great value for the price. And a great location as well. It faces south so you get the morning sun, which is so nice to sit on the patio and drink your coffee. There is a small microwave, a nice size refrigerator, and a Keurig coffee maker with two tegular pods and one decaf.

I deducted a star because no AC, mini fridge nor microwave (but we knew this coming in). I think there's a portable fan in the room though. I wish they had a microwave in the common area. Walls are thin so bring ear plugs if you're sensitive to noise especially since they're pet friendly (thank goodness our dog only barked a couple of times during the night ).

Decided to stay at Sea Otter since they allow dogs and have one Tesla EV charger to charge my Tesla. The pluses....Provides breakfast every morning delivered in a cute picnic basket at your door. The breakfast burritos are delicious, big and filling. Easy check-in with a welcome cookie at the front desk. Entry to the room is with a 4 digit code. There are 3 EV (one a Tesla charger) charging spaces. One charger wasn't working. Overall it was quiet at night. Plenty of guest parking. Great location across from Moonstone Beach. Easy check out via a link provided on check out day. Negatives.....The pool and jaccuzi wereclosed during our stay, although we could use an adjacent property. The bathroom vanity and towel rack were scratched and looked terrible. The room was on the dark side even with the curtains open. Neither Plus or Negative.....no maid service during your entire stay, however you can request clean towels during your stay.

2/5 STARS ~ upon entry to the front office, I was greeted with a person speaking abruptly and…read moreunkind voice. I told the person that I was here to check in to our room. He told me I cannot check in until 3 pm, and it was 2:45 pm. We left and came back. The next person at 4 pm on Saturday, July 4th, told us we could have our room cleaned and when we would like to schedule the room cleaning for Sunday. I told the person at 1 pm. When we came back after being away for the day, our place was not cleaned! I went to the front office and asked to have our place cleaned. The person at the desk, at the time 2:30 pm, told me we did not request the room cleaned because we were not on the hand written lined paper list. I told him that was not true as the person grabbed the paper when we checked in and wrote our room and time to be cleaned. The pool, not working and empty. The hot tub had too much chemicals and my skin itched like crazy. I stayed here many years ago and was always greeted with a friendly voice and granted early and late access even when I would pay. I will never stay here again. Maybe the people are not gay friendly... not sure. Bye, bye! Next....
