Dribbles gets the job done on those hot days walking on the strip. This walk up window isn't much to look at but the ice cream is creamy and the portions are large. Kiddie serving size would be a normal single portion at any other place and quite a deal for $5. The strawberry ice cream was thick and creamy with chunks of strawberry in it. The menu of options is quite extensive so there is something for everyone. The high school kid running the window was nice and friendly. Outside seating is available with wooden benches that are a bit in rough shape but there is shade. read more

If John Taffer ever decided to leave Bar Rescue and focus on ice cream parlors, this would be on his list. People can buy mediocre tasting ice cream in so many places, so service and speed become the measures of success. On two consecutive occasions, I've had my order made wrong the first time (wrong toppings). The second time my remade medium cup came with less ice cream than my wife's small. Accuracy equals listening, which is the cornerstone of a good customer service experience. What really drives my crazy though is the complete lack of systems when it comes to taking orders, preparing the orders and then delivering the final product. There were three young ladies working very hard during my last visit, but it was unclear who was doing what. On some orders the same person took the order and scooped, them someone else rang it up. On others, one person took the order and money and another person scooped and served. Sometimes one person did everything. It is a disorganized mess that leads to slow turnover and sloppy delivery of product. If you're in the market for a good ice cream served fast, maybe hit Nona's down the street. Dribbles is not worth the extra wait or the extra weight. read more

I love Dribbles! Well ... I love almost all ice cream! My boyfriend grew up on Dribbles and I was skeptical when he said it was the best ice cream ever. He was pretty much right. They have tons of different flavors at the walk up windows. Then you can walk through downtown Scituate or along the harbor. It is very romantic ... unless you forget to wear your bug spray and you are there after dusk. Then you just get munched on by mosquitoes. A great place to go in the summer, but bug spray up. So I order chocolate chip in a waffle cone (I would've added another star if they had chocolate peanut butter). 4 dollars later, my quart of ice cream was brought forth. I ordered 2 small ice creams in cups. I received one of the ice creams, with what I would call a small scoop, ( for $4.50). The other ice cream had less than a teaspoon of ice cream, also for $4.50. I said to the server, " This is very small", she responded by shrugging her shoulders. I will never go back there again. read more

Pretty great place to stop and indulge in an ice cream cone on a warm summer day! We visit Scituate occasionally (as my fiance's parents live close by) and will definitely utilize Dribbles in the future, since it's right on the main street, has plenty of parking and puts out a good cone. The line was a little long on a sunny Sunday afternoon, but no more than a 10 minute wait. Doable. Seating is outside on park benches and picnic tables, or you can take your ice cream down toward the harbor and enjoy the view from there. I ordered a coffee, Kahlua and brownie ice cream cone while Jamie got an ice cream sandwich. There was neither coffee nor Kahlua flavor to be had, but the brownies interspersed were awesome. Jamie's ice cream sandwich was ready-made in the freezer, but we couldn't tell if they made it themselves, or if it was a store-bought brand. Either way, we enjoyed a nice little romantic stop in Scituate for some summertime treats. read more

Small town ice cream. Thats how it goes. There are plenty of places like it, but this is ours. This is Scituate's little scoop of heaven. This is a fun little business that is a quick "Grab And Go" kind of place. If the summer heat is treating you poorly, then get what you deserve. A nice cup or cone of ice cream with all of your favorite toppings just like you like it. If you need a place to sit and enjoy your new-found treat, there is a small patio-type area right next you that has picnic style tables and benches. Im not going to lie. Its what you would expect out of a small-town ice cream shop but boy is it good and it sure hits the spot for whatever occasion. Wether it be just a hot day or a promotion at work or junior got an A+ on that test he worked so hard on. You will most certainly find good ice cream here. read more

This spot brings back a lot of childhood memories for me. I have been here 3x this Summer already. The staff is your typical high school and college students. There are so many ice cream flavors to choose from. Some of my favorites are the mint Oreo fudge and the fro-yo peppermint patty. read more

I visited Dribbles last night with my two granddaughters after a day at the beach. It was our first time as we don't live in Scituate, but were visiting friends. I found the service to be downright unfriendly. The ice cream was average, serving size was fine, and the toppings were ridiculously skimpy. The whole thing was overpriced. Dribbles is my favorite place to go in the summer! As my family and I have a summer house in Scituate I find myself constantly with a Dribbles ice cream in hand. People are very friendly and I love the ice cream. I always look forward to going to Dribbles in the summer and will probably go as long as it's open.
