Wedge Salad
Patricia Z.

First time here, I have been to other David Burke restaurants. This is inside Driftwood cabana but upstairs. Ample parking. Decor is very nautical, which is great because of Seaside location. Our server was attentive. We started with the wedge salad and spicy calamari with long hots. My ny strip was ok, i should have ordered the Halibut. Lol. The scallop and octopus with Risotto was very good. Overall I would be back.

Food and service were excellent! Everything was amazing! I would highly recommend to have dinner or brunch here

The red snapper with outstanding! I would return to this restaurant just for that dish. Great service as well. And you can't beat the ocean views.

My fiancé and I came to Drifthouse for date night. The blown glass decor is so beautiful. There is a membership you could join to get perks! Our waiter was so lovely and the manager came over to check on us. We ordered some espresso martinis, oysters, a Caesar salad - which was perfectly dressed, I ordered the branzino special and my fiancé ordered the linguine and clams. The branzino was out of this world. It was grilled perfectly and had a chimichurri sauce. It's not on the main menu, but I hope it makes the cut because I would order it every time. We also ordered the crème brûlée. Needless to say we have signed up for perks and we will be back.

I was super excited to get down to this restaurant! When I arrived I found parking in the lot. I walked up to the restaurant and it was nice. I sat at the bar and was served by Chaz, and he was great. I started with the espresso martini and the lemon drop martini. I really enjoyed the espresso martini the most. For my appetizer, I had the mussels, and it came out in about 10 minutes. They did not disappoint. They were delicious! For my meal, I hot the squid ink pasta with lobster, calamari, and shrimp. That, too, was delicious! For my dessert I got the keylime pie which I enjoyed. I had a really good experience!

Food across the board was great. Crab cake was quite unique but scrumptious, oysters were super fresh and delicious and the catch of the day was excellent. Service was very slow.

Haven't dined here in a couple years, but very happy we returned. We had an outstanding dinner. The Lobster Bisque has the most generous portion of lobster possible, and you get to keep the mug! Eggplant chips were delicious as well for appetizer. The Seared Snapper main course over Market Vegetable was the best main course I've had in a while, just perfectly cooked and so fresh. Also sampled some of my daughter's hamburger on English muffin which was great. Desserts: Key Lime Pie, Sorbet, and Ice Cream Sandwich were all amazing! Only drawbacks were some pacing issues with the meal. Food came out slow and out of order on a fairly empty Sunday Evening. Long break between our appetizers and main course, and our delicious Truffle Fries side came out after our main course was completed. The manager proactively came over to apologize for the kitchen issues which we appreciated. Also thought it was a tad hot in the restaurant as well. Drawbacks aside, I think this is one of the highest quality meals that can be had in the area. Enthusiastically recommended!

First date night in a bit. Haven't yelped in a while because children and nothing has made me want to yelp. However, food was so bad I needed to make a review. First off , when you have to pay for bread, it better be magnificent. It tasted like the crust of white bread flavored with poppy seeds! Take a look at the photo there's no dough inside the bread !! Then the pretzel crusted crab cake ... it was literal pretzel sticks on top of a crab cake - woof. Then we have our entrees The seafood risotto thing- the scallops were the saltiest I have ever had. The salmon had the skin on top? Who does that ?? Mine also had a bunch of bones in it. We also ordered Brussel sprouts that were inedible!!! Soooo burnt and no flavor. Very disappointed. Our waiter was new but beyond sweet and kind! But poor guy- this place sucks !! So sad we waisted a night out here !!

Fennel Coriander Tuna

I was surprised to be disappointed in a restaurant of this reputation. My blood orange old fashioned was overly sweet, and my friends found their expresso martinis unexceptional. A calamari appetizer was good but the oysters Rockerfeller were just average. Lobster bisque was good, but clearly not the advertised meat of an entire lobster. My Fennel CorianderTuna was rare as requested, but overwhelmed by the seasoning. My wife had the same tuna and the same issue. Our server was excellent- friendly and helpful.

It had the feel of a Tuscan restaurant. The host, Oscar, is charming and attentive. After we were seated, our server, Enver, advised us to order all the food at once and he would figure out what to bring out as appetizers, and then after some time to digest, the main courses. This is what we ordered. Appetizers: Deep fried stuffed olives - very tasty Roasted peppers with ricotta - get this - amazing Meatballs with ricotta - delicious Main course: Tagliolini Al Forno - Very good but if we had to pick one thing to exclude out of all the things we ate, this would be it. Spicy Rigatoni - Not on the menu but knew about it through other reviews. It lives up to the hype. In addition to crushed red pepper there are minced hot peppers in the sauce. You can't come here and not get this. We shared everything and I recommend family style so you can taste as many things as possible. Another off menu item that people rave about is the eggplant parm but Enver said they only serve it for dinner. I will be back. PS - After our meal, we started chatting with Oscar and he pointed out that behind Anjelica's is a Squash and Swim Club. It has two indoor squash courts and indoor swimming pool that looks like something from the 19th century. Really cool and worth a look if you are there in the afternoon.

I saw some mixed reviews for Teak before we went, and after reading through quite a few of them, my…read morebest guess was that most of the complaints were tied to a nightclub-type vibe on a possible rooftop bar rather than the restaurant itself. We showed up hoping to snag bar seats, but it was busy and honestly a little warm for my liking. I know, I know, after the winter we've had, I have absolutely no right to complain. Either way, we ended up in an outside room with all the windows open to the patio and it was genuinely perfect. Our server Julie was fantastic. Attentive in all the right ways, including the kind of attentive where she noticed us glancing around and came over to check on us. We weren't actually looking for anything; we were just scoping out the space. Still, I appreciated the hustle. My partner ordered a gin martini, extra dirty; I went with a prosecco. Both came out cold and fast. We ordered edamame, lotus buns, the pear and crispy goat cheese salad, and the aburi roll. The edamame were solid. Nice pop of lime, though I could have used a heavier hand with the salt. The lotus buns were a revelation. Two pillowy bao buns, each stuffed with a generous slab of slow roasted pork belly glazed in hoisin, with a pickled cucumber tucked in alongside it. I'd never had anything quite like them, and the balance was what got me: the brine and snap of the pickle cutting right through the sweetness of that glaze. Really well thought out. The aburi roll was tasty; nothing jumped out as the star moment, but everything played nicely together and it went down easy. And then there was the salad. Oh, the salad. I could eat that salad every single day of the week. Crispy fried goat cheese medallions on a salad is basically a guaranteed order for me, so that's what reeled me in initially. But once I actually started eating it, I forgot all about the goat cheese. Mixed greens, thin pear slices, halved grapes, spiced pecan halves, all dressed in a honey mustard vinaigrette that was genuinely outstanding. I've already started thinking about how to recreate it at home, which is the highest compliment I can give a salad. Teak delivered across the board. Don't let the rooftop reviews scare you off from the restaurant itself.

THE FOOD * Chef's Sashimi Bowl: Bright and tasty with slices of tuna, yellowtail, and salmon. It came professionally plated with vegetable garnishes and a few dried sweet potato and garlic chips for texture. * Oysters & Caviar: The ice-cold oysters topped with black caviar were incredibly fresh. The yuzu/ponzu sauce and sliced green onions added great flavor. Served at the perfect temperature. * Kale Caesar Salad: The surprise here was the spicy breadcrumbs, which made the dish when their spice and crunch came in alongside the creamy dressing and kale. * Tip: I would order the dressing on the side next time, and avoid pairing this with the French Onion Soup Dumplings (too many creamy/heavy components for one meal). * French Onion Dumplings: An okay dish with nice gooey cheese, but a fairly flat overall flavor profile. * Roasted Salmon: Served with a tasty, crisp crust, but it was a bit dry on the inside. It came with nice stir-fried vegetables and slightly underdone coconut rice. THE WINE * A nice selection of wines by the glass. We tried a spread of Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux, and Pinot Noir. THE SERVICE & ATMOSPHERE * Special thanks to Rigo (the sushi chef). He served up amazing sashimi and clearly draws on his 20+ years of experience at TEAK. He was incredibly personable, clearly enjoys his craft, and his presentation was excellent! * Thank you to Olivia, a new bartender upstairs, for her attentive and professional service! Wishing you the best in picking up those great line dance routines. IMPORTANT LOGISTICS Ordering: Note that you must order all your dishes at one time. OVERALL A memorable Asian fusion restaurant with an extensive upstairs dance floor and a bar on each level. Great for a casual date night or a lively evening out on the town.

Each table is appointed with a different small size floral centerpiece ours was fresh mint with two flowers. Albeit a small restaurant there are multiple tables nicely spaced with soothing instrumental music playing in the background. Keep in mind the menu online is NOT what's on the menu in the restaurant so please call ahead if there is a particular meal you are interested in ordering to be sure it's offered on site. The new menu is slightly smaller in its offerings than what you see online but there is still a nice assortment of options so don't be dismayed. There are also daily specials offered. An assortment of fresh baked breads is presented and a dipping sauce consisting of oil, crushed garlic, parsley and grated cheese....paired together makes it a genuine pallet pleaser. Next a few assorted olives is placed at the table to snack on while you wait for appetizers or your meal to be completed. For the starter I ordered my favorite (no matter where in the world I am eating) .....grilled octopus. Plated with my favorite a side of arugula, fennel, potato chives, capers and the most fragrant saffron aioli. The octopus consisted of two rather large tentacles and were cooked to perfection..... not overcooked which is key to cooking octopus and the drizzle of aioli on top will dance on your tastebuds. Main course for the other party was on the daily specials which was seared sea scallops over risotto which was met after the first bite with a smile and "omg it's delicious". I elected to order the chicken milanese with a side salad topped with a lovely lemon vinaigrette. The chicken was spiced to perfection and bought out piping hot.....a must order. Dessert......there were only two options key lime cheesecake or the 3 scoops of ice cream. The ice cream was one scoop of pistachio (which I never tasted but absolutely loved ), caramel and cappuccino scoop (the cappuccino was fantastic as well. Fresh restaurant is must visit for a memorable dining experience.
