This was my first visit and I'm already planning a return trip. My friend and I arrived on a Saturday morning around 9:15am and were easily able to find parking in the rear parking lot, which is closest to the entrance to the Café. You need to walk through the store to get to the Café entrance. We were quickly seated and provided with beverages. Once we ordered our food, it came out very quickly and was delicious. The service was also attentive and friendly. I had an excellent chocolate scone, which was warm, and I slathered it with butter. Delish! My zesty scramble had a bit of a spicy kick, which I enjoyed. The portion was large enough that I could make it into two meals. My friend loved her breakfast burrito, which is an entrée that she tries whenever she can find it on a restaurant menu. This one did not disappoint. She also had a side of bacon and commented that she received a lot of bacon. I told her that you can NEVER have too much bacon. The coffee is from Vaneli's, a local Rocklin company. We had a great breakfast and want to return soon for lunch. As someone who lives in Sacramento, it is definitely worth the drive to Rocklin to visit Pottery World Café. After the meal, we perused the store and all of its wonderful furniture, clothing, and home decor items. It was a fun morning.

The Hubster, MIL, and I popped in here for a late lunch today…read more What a cute little bakery/cafe this is. It's located inside a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. It is rather tiny on the inside with only three tables of two. So if you are wanting to sit and eat, you need to be a small party, or take your food with you to go. Thankfully there was plenty of room when we arrived for our party of three. Their decor is cute with plenty o goose to view, as well as their baked goods. Since it was our maiden voyage here we did ask the nice gal who was at the register for a couple of recommendations which we took. The hubster tried the Ham and Peach Grilled Cheese, the MIL did the Pick Two which included a half Rosemary Chicken Sandwich and the Strawberry Poppyseed salad, I also got the Pick Two and chose half Citrus Club Sandwich and the Street Corn Cesar salad. Everything was made fresh to order and was incredibly tasty! The hubster and I also shared a Cherry Limeade Summer Sipper which was divine. We decided we could not leave with out taking a few goodies with us for later. So we bought a Lemon Bar, a Blackberry Cheesecake Bar, and a Chocolate Sea Salt Shortbread. We don't venture to Rocklin on a regular basis, but when we do, it's nice to know where to go and to support a small business like this. Give them a try. You will be impressed too!

The food, though, was a bit underwhelming. It wasn't bad, just nothing special or memorable compared to the coffee. The place itself is cute and has a nice vibe, and service was friendly, which made the visit enjoyable overall. Great spot for coffee, but I'd love to see a little more effort or creativity in the food.

I still feel like this feedback should be given though, because the situation could have been avoided... When I arrived there was no one in line in front of me. I place an order for a single latte then waited... Then I waited and waited. It took 30 minutes to receive my latte. That is truly unacceptable. I will explain the situation further. There was 1 person working at the shop. She was kind and had a positive attitude. However there was an issue with the order of operations. She was constantly taking everyone's orders, and no one was there to make the drinks. Generally a coffee shop will take an order, maybe 2, then make the orders that were already taken. But this was not the case. She continued to take orders until the coffee shop was completely full of people waiting for their order. The people there were getting anxious and one couple told me they have already been waiting 30 minutes for their food. They were talking to each other and mentioned that they might need to abandon their food and leave because they had an appointment. They asked about the food and the girl mentioned that it might be another 5 minutes. They anxiously waited. Luckily, some girl rushed in and started working. But this entire time a man was standing awkwardly behind the counter with his own coffee. A customer asked him if he was making drinks and he told him, "No, I'm just the owner." That is odd to me. I also heard from a regular that they thought the owner was a female, so maybe his is a co-owner? Regardless, he did not help and he did not give customers a good impression. It seemed inappropriate also for him to drink his coffee behind the counter. The perception that customers have mean something... But after the second employee started working, orders slowly began to be fulfilled. The upset customers slowly received their food and drinks. It took me 30 minutes (around 28 really) to receive mine. The drink itself was okay, but order of operations did not make sense for the situation. I hope that this feedback is taken in a constructive way. The coffee shop itself is in a great location and had nice decor. The tables were clean. And the employee was nice. But it would be helpful to have a heads up when they are that far behind. They should mention the wait time. And it makes sense to take care of orders before accepting new orders. I personally won't be back, but others I spoke to mentioned this experience was not the usual, so that is hopeful.

During that time, they served me a glass of water and I quickly ordered the BBQ Chicken sandwich - I had looked at the menu earlier - with a side of fruit. The sandwich was really great! They served the sandwich with the grilled, chicken breast, bacon, and BBQ sauce with the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on the side. I'm not a fan of onions, so I did not have those, but it was nice to have the lettuce and the tomatoes have that nice taste when it hasn't been smothered in BBQ sauce or others as it's being cooked by the chicken like other places prepare them. I honestly left satisfied. This place really did live up to the recommendations and reputation it has. Our gym, Positive Impact Fitness always talks about this place and it was really worth it. I shall return in due time.

The picnic tables and benches are so old that the wood is shedding lots of splinters. Is this part of the charm? I tie the Labradors to a post of the pergola right next to me and fill their big doggy bowl full of water. I order the Big Garden scramble egg plate. Barbara gets the two over easy eggs with bacon. The routine is to order at the counter, get a pager and wait just 6 miutes for the food to be ready. No table service. Carry you own food to your table (In my opinion this warrants no gratuity. I don't tip at a fast food joint that doesn't have table service. Why should I do it here? But I'm sure that Barbara did pay a tip.) The food is decent, not great. Home made tasting. Portions are plenty big. Prices are average. Same level as Mario's Early Toast. Though the food deliciousness is far better at Mario's. We enjoyed the outdoor dining space. There's a big bluetooth speaker on the patio that's playing fairly loud 1970's pop music. Get rid of it. It spoils the tranqulity. Came. Saw. Ate. One and done. No need to return.

Finally! A cafe inside of an office building - can it get any more convenient for us cubicle folk?!…read moreI rarely take a lunch because I don't want to hop in the car to pick up anything. Now, I can simply walk through the building and pick up great salads and sandwiches!! They just Grand Opened on 03/02/2020 - met the owner, super friendly and nice. Her brick/mortar location in Sacramento recently branched off, away from "La Bou" and has now become her own... what does that mean? A lot of their menu items are familiar to La Bou... baguette... dill sauce... YES!! Yesterday, I got the sandwich/salad lunch combo for $11.85 - Salami and Cheddar sandwich with Chinese Chicken Salad. She suggested to pop the sandwich in the microwave for a few seconds to take the chill off the bread. Worked like a charm. They have the little condiment packets on the back counter (mayo, mustard, butter, plastic utensils, etc). It's a lot of bread to filling ratio, but to me, it hit the spot. Your combo even comes with 2 slices of bread - yum! Today, I got the roast beef and again chicken salad. Definitely love the amount of roast beef in the sandwich! $11.85 for a sandwich and side salad is very reasonable to me. Can't wait to try all of their goodies, smoothies, etc. *Note this is a business office cafe - so, no seating - the cafe is pretty much all to-go. Everything is freshly made in the morning and transported over to the cafe from their brick/mortar location - so yes, some items do sell out.
