TL;DR: Calm, trendy spot with lots of seating and a nice drinks menu. Service was a bit slow but understandable since only one person was working. I'd consider coming back. ---------- I came by around 9:30 AM on a Monday looking for a sweet drink after getting some steps in. It was quiet when I arrived, and there was plenty of space to sit and do some work. Signs along the way made it easy to find the entrance. The vibe inside was light, airy, and trendy. It felt like the kind of place where you could stay a while, especially with the free WiFi and relaxed atmosphere. I waited a while before ordering, but only because the barista was in the back washing something. They were the only person working, so I understood the delay. Once I placed my order, my berry chamomile bliss tea came out quickly. It had a nice fruity flavor and was refreshing. Overall, this is a solid coffee shop if you want to chill or get some work done. This is such a cute and sweet place! The ambience is cozy where you can sit and read a book or do some laptop work while listening to light piano music. I was surprised how there was almost no one here, but that can definitely make it perfect for those looking for a more quiet place to concentrate on what you're doing. There was one woman working, may have been the owner, who was kind, helpful and professional. I got a vanilla late and my husband got a tea - both tasted great. For food, I also ordered the caprese toast and my husband got the spicy chipotle panini. The toast was amazing! Again, there was only one person so it took a few minutes for the food but it was so worth it. Everything was freshly made. I saw her grab everything and cut a brand new tomato and mozzarella for my toast. I didn't taste my husband's panini but he quoted "this place has handcrafted artisan creations. Simple. Classy. This is a cozy and relaxing cafe. I walked there from the Automall after dropping off my car for a service. I wish I could have stayed longer as it felt so peaceful but needed to leave for an errand. I tried their Matcha latte and it was delicious and served with pretty latte art. They also have some books to read if you forget to bring one with you. read more

Place is so cute and aesthetic and really clean! An ideal coffee shop for remote work, studying, or just hanging out. Service was smooth and the workers are really nice and will give recommendations if you're indecisive (like me). Prices are fairly decent and they have special drinks that change by the season. If you're truly looking for a relaxing, tranquil, and quite coffee shop, then you've come to the right place. "The Gardens Cafe" is just that. Located at 151 N. Sunrise Ave. in Roseville, this is one of the newer coffee shops that opened its doors in late-2022. It can be a little tricky to find but it is on the right side of N. Sunrise in between Douglas Blvd. and Sierra Gardens Dr. in a quiet strip mall. Parking is ample, spacious, and should never be an issue regardless what time you arrive. I did want to point out that this place is only opened on weekdays, Monday through Friday from 7am-5pm. Therefore, it makes a great atmosphere for studying, working remotely, getting that caffeine fix, or even waiting for your vehicle to be serviced (as the Roseville Automall is only 1/2 mile away). They always say location is everything and this place is not far from the freeway while giving you that feeling as if you're tucked away in a quiet, wooded area. Once inside, you are greeted by a very bright, open, and spacious interior layout. But the real treat is how lovely and upscale some of the decor is here. There are comfy plush chairs complete with a coffee table, area rug underneath it, and classic faux-wood floor tiles. Towards the rear, you will see a navy blue sofa complete with a 'garden' grassy backdrop with a neon light that says "coffee lights up the soul". There are also quite a bit of tables and chairs that make this place a great work/study area. Finally, the side of the building has a fancy brick wall that only adds to the neutral ambiance. As far as the drinks go, they carry the standard coffees and espresso beverages, both in hot or iced form. They also have a very nice variety of teas, Italian sodas, and non-coffee options (hot cocoa, Red Bull mixers, etc.). If you're hungry, they do have a limited food selection including waffles, bagels, panini sandwiches, croissants, and Danishes. Surprisingly, I spent well over an hour here (taking care of some work-related duties on my laptop) and did not even realize it. I did want to mention that Wi-Fi speeds here are quick; always a plus when working somewhere other than your home or office. Since I was a first timer at this place, I ordered a medium sized "Iced Vanilla Latte" (for $5.50) with a "Poppy Seed Bagel" w/cream cheese (for $4.00). Everything came out quickly in just under 3 minutes. With that said and done, I am giving "The Gardens Cafe" a unanimous five-star rating. The customer service here was top notch, prices were decent, and the overall quality of the food and drink was excellent. I see myself making many future visits to this place. read more

We finally made in! First off, there's tons of parking which is so nice!!!! The cafe is pretty big with lots of seating (tables, a couch, and comfy chairs to pick from). The baristas were all super nice and helpful. The menu does not list even half of the flavor options! Some syrups not listed: lavender & rose. I ordered an Iced Honey Lavender Quad Shot Latte. My oldest daughter ordered an Iced Honey Coconut Matcha with Oat Milk. And my youngest ordered a Cherry Watermelon Italian Soda. My latte was super yummy and my oldest loved the honey coconut suggestion for her matcha. We can't wait to go back! read more

Such a cute little cafe! The decoration is beautiful and bright. The seating options give a great comfort feel. Plus... there's wifi! Huge shared parking lot so you're not fighting with anyone for a parking spot. The drinks menu is pretty extensive. They serve Italian sodas!! Went for the classic matcha green tea. I personally don't like mines too sweet so it was perfect. The barista did offer sweetener so keep that in mind. Will come back for a latte next! Service is great. Baristas are friendly. A hidding little gem! I didn't know there was a coffee shop here that also offers lunch. It's a small corner shop with spread out room to do some home work or projects. The staff was super nice and welcoming, I asked for a recommendation as he gave me a French toast latte which was almost like drinking cinnamon toast cereal 10/10. It's a very cute little coffee shop, with their own Instagram worthy neon sign wall! Perfect for your coffee picture backdrop. I came on a weekday morning with a friend and our toddlers and the two baristas working were so kind! They were interested in the iced strawberry latte with oat milk that I ordered. It's not a menu item but you can basically build the order yourself since they have several different flavor options. I'm a huge strawberry latte fan so I was excited to have one this morning. They made it perfectly too and not too sweet! I love coffee shops like these where the workers are friendly and ambiance is relaxed and not pretentious. Not sure if the barista was having a bad day or going through something but he seemed miserable, even after we tried to joke with him, he was cold and unfriendly. Not a great first impression The steamer wasn't working so we settled for ice coffees, which were left in the counter and we were never called to come get them, nor were they delivered and since no one else was in there that didn't seem to far off to expect. One bagel was our food order, and that took forever. I was so excited to find a cute new coffee place, and yes, the place is cozy and comfortable and I even took a picture of its very instagram able wall, but if I'm going to spend money on something, I want to be appreciated and acknowledged. What a great find! Tucked away in a business strip, the Gardens Cafe has delicious coffee and food. It's the only place I have found that has sugar free chocolate syrup for mochas. They just started serving paninis and mine was delicious - you choose your protein, spread, and cheese. I had the garlic aioli that's made in house and it was really tasty. If you're into Instagram they have a perfect backdrop wall. The music was good, the vibe was good. You can choose to sit at a table or on comfy chairs. The staff was super friendly. My only complaint is that it took a long time for my panini. I would say to come here for leisure, not if you're in a hurry. And heads up they're closed on weekends. read more

My friend and I were looking for a cafe to study at that we hadn't been to before. I came across this one and have to say I really enjoyed it! Place was very aesthetically pleasing, had enough seating and outlets perfect for studying. The environment itself was nice and the staff was super friendly. Price wise I would say it was moderately-priced, similar to starbucks pricing which is the main reason I docked a star. I work in the same complex as this cafe and it is AMAZING! As a resident of the complex you get like 10% off at checkout. They also offer punch cards where your 20th drink is free. Nice spot with cozy seating. My oat milk vanilla latte was very good, but it took longer than any coffee I have ever had made for me. There were only two people who ordered before me and no one else in line. It was at least 30 minutes before I received my drink after I ordered it. It wouldn't keep me from going back and trying this place again-- as it's totally possible the barista was new/being trained.
