When I opened the menu, I was sad to see the galbi lunch box - my former go-to - was no longer an option. So I had to settle for one of the other lunch boxes - spicy pork bulgogi. Though the spicy pork bulgogi wasn't as delicious as the galbi (I LOVE Ha Ahn's galbi), it was still a delight to my taste-buds. Regular bulgogi can sometimes be a little too sweet for me, but the spice offered a nice contrast and balance to the sweetness of the meat, which was tender and juicy. In addition to a sizeable portion of pork, my lunch box came with a salad, a crispy mandu, kimchi, seaweed salad, and a scoop of steamed white rice. It was more than enough food to leave me satisfied, especially when combined with the fresh banchan, which included some greens, more kimchi, some sort of steamed egg dish, spicy daikon, and sliced fish cakes. Along with great food, the restaurant provided great service. Our server kept the refills of hot tea (complimentary!) coming. But please bring back the galbi lunch box!!

It's about $32 per person for either all you can eat hot pot or Korean bbq or an extra $5 for both. We had about an hour and a half wait on a Saturday night. I loved the sauce bar and how well stocked it was. You order your veggies and meats on an iPad and they bring it out pretty quickly which is nice. I had the Szechuan spicy broth and it was so good and flavorful, my husband had the Thai tom yum which was also really good. We thought all of the meats and veggies we ordered were really good and fresh. They also have a selection of ice cream cups to grab to end your meal. We will definitely be back!

The food is fantastic and is family-restaurant style. While it might not be super flashy and trendy, it doesn't need to be. The food speaks for itself! You cannot go wrong with any dish on the menu, to be honest. While I have a seafood allergy, our many friends and family members that have tried a larger section of the menu have raved about it! My favorites are the japchae and the dol sot bibimbop. I like to add a good helping of gochujang to mine, and I also add some ssamjang to add a little extra to it (sometimes they'll bring out lettuce for some ssam as well!). My husband has tried many of the dishes, but his absolute favorite is the jjajangmyeon. Our toddler enjoys the bits and pieces from our various meals, and also likes the kimbap (she's still figuring out how to eat the seaweed wrapper, but does good work with the interior filling). I will admit that we have not done the KBBQ at Miega, but we've seen the bbq tables filled regularly and the food looks amazing! The staff members are incredibly friendly and kind, and our toddler loves seeing and interacting with them. They are very baby friendly and welcoming! Miega is one of our favorite restaurants and we try to tell everyone about it when they are looking for something new to try. From the incredibly warm and welcoming staff to the truly delicious food, we hope to keep going to Miega for many years to come. We are so happy to have a place like this for our baby to grow up going to as a family favorite restaurant.

Galbi tang came out slot with like 7 ban chan. Also pipping hot. Got three pieces of galbi on the bone. Some glass noodles, bit of veg, and egg drop the soup. Came with a bowl of rice too. They don't have the purple rice option or I didn't see it in the menu. But regardless, galbi tang was delicious. Kinda wish the side dishes were a bit better, kimchi and the radish kimchi was okay. I think we tried everything but the spicy chicken and beef brisket were the favs of the group. Lots of sides and rice. Nobody left hungry that's for sure lol!! Service was great as well. We asked if we could move to a table in the back, but she told us those tables were for non-bbq guests. We were okay with that and stayed. However, shortly after, we saw other parties being seated in the back and eating KBBQ. That felt inconsistent and honestly disappointing. We ordered the yookhwe (beef tartare) bibimbap ($20.95), the Korean beef BBQ combo for two ($119.99), prime rib ($44.95), and makgeolli. Honestly, the portions were lot smaller than I expected for the price. Brisket only came with 6 thick pieces and galbi came with 9 to 12 pieces depending on how you cut them. The last straw was just seeing 10 small pieces of prime rib. As for the taste, it was decent but not the best. The banchan, doenjang jjigae, and steamed egg were good, but the beef was tough and hard to chew. The sauce on the marinated galbi actually hardened like candy after grilling and stuck to my teeth and the plate. We cooked most of our meat ourselves, which we didn't mind, but it seemed like our server was busy with other tables. Overall, I was disappointed and probably won't be back. If you've never had KBBQ, it might still be worth (?) a try considering for the authentic experience, but I don't think the service, portions or quality make it worth the price.
