I have been wanting to check this place out and finally gave it a try this Friday afternoon. I was impressed that they still had a good selection of donuts even later in the day. There were so many to choose from...I had a hard time selecting but the lady behind the counter was really nice and patient with me. I ended up choosing three - the kitchen sink, an Oreo cream, and a maple cream. All three were really good...the Oreo was my favorite. The donuts I had were packed with a lot of cream so if that's your thing (which it totally is for me) you're in luck. Some of the outer donut was a bit dry but that may just be because I got there later. I went around 10:30, not very early to get donuts but they were still soft! They didn't taste old even though you could tell they weren't freshly done. The service worker was very helpful and nice. The place was a bit smaller; I don't remember seeing anywhere to sit inside. The actual donut part wasn't anything substantially impressive, but still really good. New experience for us. The donut selection is expansive. They have incredible flavors. But they fall absolutely flat when it comes to workers and information. Multiple times we asked the worker to tell us what everything was as we are going for flavors that we don't normally get and were told to just point to what we wanted. Well...there are 40 different types and we warned them we'd never been there so how would we know. Ablut 20m in and a little high in irritation, we chose a few randos instead of pulling teeth from the attendant. She was nice, just not informative. I grew up living near this place. I did move away and so whenever I make my way back. I find myself drawn to come in. It's been several years since my last visit. And I can say I was thrilled to stop. And of course the selection was amazing. The dedication to making good quality donuts is on point. I didn't know what to pick. These donuts are super instagrammable and recognizable! They're so detailed and fun that they might as well have their own donut-print. They have vegan options that are made in a separate building to avoid cross contamination. Great for a dairy allergy. Miraculously my car started driving itself and it drove itself right HERE to Jack Frost Donuts! I hate when that happens.... Anyhow, my car and I immensely enjoyed the donuts. I think my favorite was the peanut butter chocolate. It tasted like a buckeye. Mmmmm. I also liked the pineapple cheesecake a lot. I am still kicking myself for not getting one of the banana split donuts. How did I skip that one? The employee working there was super nice and friendly. He had some really good recommendations. My son really likes these donuts too. I tend to prefer the raised donuts over the cake donuts, but my child does not discriminate. But then again if maple bacon (my daughters favorite) and chocolate cherry is up your alley and you want fresh and quality then . They always have seasonal flavors and decorations which is quite nice. This was my first time ever to Jack Frost Donuts. I've driven past this location, but with all the uncertainty in the world right now, I needed a pick me up and today was the day! So whoa! So overwhelming! There are like a hundred options! The young lady who helped me was phenomenal. I decided on a donut with peanut butter icing and nuts and also a banana cream donut. My banana one was so very tasty. The donuts are made fresh and apparently they switch them out daily. I was told they have an Instagram page and was invited to follow them. I came here around 7:00am and surprisingly there was a little line- a good sign! I ended up ordering a dozen for about $15. The donuts- I would guess they probably had 30 + different flavors when I was there. They had a variety of cake and yeast donuts, but it seemed like more cake donuts. Some flavors that I remember include salted caramel (counter lady said it was the best selling), maple bacon, german chocolate, pumpkin cheesecake, apple cinnamon, samoa, s'mores, fruity pebbles and captain crunch cereal covered donuts. The donuts are really well made. The texture of the cake itself is good, but the toppings were incredible and super fresh! Like people have said before, I have to take a star off for the unlabeled donuts. I would at least have a list or a sign. But unlike the many others that "aren't as good as they used to be", JF keeps the quality protected and has actually grown to improve the service.
