Here is why the score. This place is filthy. There was a giant wad of black hair on one of the tables. There are only about 6 tables. Gross! Unfortunately I saw it too late and had already ordered. We chose wisely to take it out. Honestly, it wasn't that crowded that you want to keep a wad of hair on a table. And the place is a meat locker it's freezing. Now it's a cute concept. Different cobblers and puddings, ice creams, cookies, and such. Dessert heaven. We ordered the blackberry peach cobbler and it comes with vanilla ice cream. It came out about 15 mins later. It was hot. We got a small container of the ice cream and next size of the cobbler. Cobbler was warm. Good mix of fruit. The ice cream melted nicely on top. It was pretty good to be honest. Very tasty. The place is small with a few tables. It seems most people either take it home or have it delivered. The gentleman behind the counter was nice. This was my first time trying this place. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how bright and well lit it was, with a fun vibe. Reminded me of an old school malt shop. The staff was very welcome and spoke to me as soon as I entered. The peach cobbler was so good. The crust was buttery and flaky and the peaches were cooked perfectly. Not too hard and not too soft and not overly sweet. It definitely paired well with the side ice cream it came with. Great place for dessert! I had been eating dinner at a restaurant in the same strip when I noticed the cobbler factory. I was curious so I went in to check it out. The young lady at the counter was so patient and answered all of my questions. She helped me arrive at the decision to try the sweet potatoe peach cobbler. This one had candied pecans on top and all of their peach cobblers come with a small cup of ice cream. The peach cobbler was really good. I was surprised that the pie/crust really did taste homemade. The sweet potatoes were canned, but that's okay. I also got a snickerdoodle cookie. This was definitely a choice that I made based on the counter. The cookies looked so delicious, it was calling my name. I'm sad I answered. The cookie was not good at all. It was super sweet with large sugar granules all through out. Service: The 2 employees working there moved at the speed of smell. It took over 30 minutes to get my order which was two cobblers, you know - what they specialize in. And while there were a couple of orders ahead of us, I'm telling you that they moved physically slow. Like, so slow they were doing it on purpose. The television was a bit loud and I couldn't always hear her. Not a great place to hang a tv...so I ordered and got my ice cream on the side since I was taking them home. I had the apple, walnut raisin. Very good. Not too sweet like sometimes apples in that sauce can be. My husband had blackberry peach. Very delightful. I had a bit more ice cream than he had in his container. Mine was a good amount, but clearly not as much as the picture shows. I also read it was vanilla bean. Maybe. Tasted more a plain vanilla. Thankfully it wasn't French Vanilla though, not at all my flavor. $8 wasn't too bad, especially when I couldn't finish it all and will savor it for later. Can't wait to try banana pudding. read more
