This weekend took my hybrid, not a rare vehicle by any means, for what they describe as a "quick lube/oil change". They proceeded to drain the oil to later tell me that they didn't have an oil filter for my car. Being Perplexed as in my 40+ years of driving, I have never encountered this. I recall others telling before they did any service that they were out of the part, but not having them show the audacity to tell me mid-stream and in turn acting if I was indebted to them to accommodate them (quick oil change no way) So I asked the simple question when could I come back for the new filter (assuming it was included in quoted price and not wanting any further contaminants), the technician had to ask the supervisor, who was on the driver side of my car, and he reacted as if he was offended by such customer advocacy. I was told it would take up to a week and half to being shipped or I could go to auto zone to buy and new one and return for the installation. I received no apology or offered any reduction in the quoted price, so simply inquired about a discount and or reimbursement and the supervisor raised his voice in disgust that the line was backing up and asked me to pull forward out of the bay to wait an immediate discussion. My response to the technician was "wow" as I felt that the service/transaction remained incomplete. How nice. They inconvenience and then they prioritize you over other customers behind me. This was not a racial issue by any means as all three individuals were of the privileged class. After waiting 5 minutes outside the bay door, and having other errands to perform I drove off without the "immediate discussion" I made my procurement at auto zone and on my return unbelievably had to negotiate the reimbursement of the filter ( the initial receipt showed first a reversal and the actual charge for the filter of $3.99 (i.e., effectively no relief)). When I asked for reimbursement of the $10 that spent, they said that they usually charge $2 for installing a provided filter instead (guess what is on my receipt - yes a $2 service fee charge for a filter they effectively requested me to procure as if I had a choice or initiated the request. I'm from out of town and was in need of a quick car wash decided to go here and while in the car wash my cars antena was torn out I spoke with a manager who then took my antenna with him and told me I could get a refund if I came in the next day to try to sort this all out went in and they refused the incident read more

I got my oil changed here 3 times. This last time my check engine light came on. The oil change attendant told me for another20 bucks he'd tell me why it was on. The attendant was kind rude when I said for the CASH I just spent it should be included. 20 bucks to tell me why it was on. I drove down to autozone and it was because I needed an oil change. I won't be going back. I get better service at Walmart. Screw this place read more

This place is a huge rip off. Do not come here unless you want to pay $20 to vacuum your car yourself and use a mat "cleaner" that will leave your floor mats dirtier than they were when you entered. I went through this car wash expecting to vacuum my car myself (like how they initially set the car wash up) and was surprised when I mentioned vacuuming my car and the clerk added it to my car wash without mentioning the price and then slid my card to pay. Okay so I bit. $10 million car wash, sure I'll check it out. Driving up it looks impressive enough. Then you get to the payment center and realize they're trying awfully hard to recoup that $10 million with those prices. I paid $25 for a wash that was "ok". Honestly the other car wash on West Main and Bob & Kay's on Stadium do a much better job at a fraction of the cost. Btw....they really try and sell you on the monthly membership. Just not really worth the money with better and less expensive options near by. It's a hard pass from me. read more

I didn't care enough to review until I learned that the drive and shine CEO was trying to remove nature and wildlife protections around asylum lake to build another overpriced car wash 2 miles away from this one. I was there on sept 29, 2020 @5:25pm my pass didn't work they gave me new pass in the process of taking my old pass off to put the new one the employee ripped part of my tint she was using a razor I would like my windshield tint to be replaced this is not acceptable at all and the new pass is not working either I'm very not happy now. Dishonest business provides deceptive offers. They claimed I had one free month for a car wash and that you could renew the basic one for $20. When we wanted to cancel the membership I was surprised that they charged my card $43 while also charging my husband another $43 when he had their free offer. When I contacted them they said my subscription is VIP and if I want to cancel you should do that 72 hours ahead when I asked for a refund, they said that they don't do refunds, this is the company policy. This place is only here to take your money, they do not care for their customers, very stupid and not worth your time, and not worth your money. read more

I prefer a touch free wash but, this place was convenient. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my rear windshield wiper was knocked off during the wash. Foreign car owners beware; you need to get a quote from 3 places before they even consider taking action. I'm not going back. read more

I have only had my car since April 2022 and needed a good place to keep it clean. Hence during my "car wash shopping" experience, I discovered Drive & Shine on West Main in Kalamazoo. I fell in love! One fine Monday morning I was running late for work and found my car had raw egg splattered on the driver's side. I did not have time to get to Drive & Shine until after work. I was blessed to be met by Katie and Apollo. These two were amazing and helped me get my baby back to shining again. I am so happy! Customer Service above and beyond expectation. The car was so quick, so smooth and so effective! I don't want to take my car anywhere else! I don't know why the yelp review says I am in San Fran....I am on the other side of the country!! Not to impressed with the person at the entrance of the car wash. I got confused and didn't put my car in neutral. The guy was rude and told me to not get an attitude. I went here specifically to use the "free vacuums" which weren't even free due to covid even though there is a giant sign out front that said they were but I didn't know that until I was already paying for a car wash that I didn't even want. And then the overpriced car wash took paint off of my car while not even washing it very well. I am very unhappy. read more
