Our Enterprise car rental earlier this month from this location was a somewhat messy ordeal. The…read morecar we had reserved was not available (a midsize sedan) and all they could give us was a full-sized RAM Pickup. The driver was 5' tall and 71 years old so it was very difficult to drive and gas was much more expensive. The office did what they had to do, but it was not a great solution. There were no other options at all. When we returned the car to Richmond (one way drop off) there were some additional hiccups due to the way the paperwork had been done in Hadford to accommodate the change in vehicle and deposit. HOWEVER, I did call the Hadford location from Richmond VA and they were very helpful on the phone in figuring out the paperwork issues.

I reserved a moving truck through Budget online a month in advance and was supposed to pick it up…read moreat this location. I go to the location to pick it up at 9am the morning I was supposed to move and he said that he did not have any trucks available for me and "it's not his problem". He didn't apologize for the inconvience, he didn't show any sympathy or empathy, just indifference to helping solve the problem. He simply didn't care. So instead of calling budget himself to make the problem right, he gave me a brochure for Budget rentals customer service, and said "not my problem". He also mentioned that this happened to 5 other customers this morning. When calling Budget customer service, they took an hour and a half to call me back and directed me to a truck in North Carolina, refusing to give a discount or credit to make everything right. Long story short- if you want a guaranteed reservation for a truck rental, this is not the place. Go up the road to enterprise or Penske for good customer service and a guaranteed rental.

I haven't used Uhaul in this area, but I've always had good experiences with Uhaul. This Budget…read morelocation has terrible customer service. The worker up front listed all the worst case scenarios before even attempting to book is a truck, as if he didn't want to put in the effort to assist us as customers. FYI: online coupons are only good online.
