They offered me a pick-up truck for no additional cost but I needed something with better MPG, so I declined. I did not get their insurance package since my foreign credit covers this which made the employee (I think she was the manager actually) but no further attempts to sell me insurance were made. She very carefully examined the car and marked a lot of subtle damage on the sheet before she gave me the keys which also made me feel uncomfortable as another Yelper also mentioned. During drop-off, my experience was far better. Very nice employee, didn't charge me for a slightly late car return. No problems at all, no hidden fees or charges. Dollar was far cheaper ($35 vs. $70) than other car rental companies on that day and Avis downtown closes at 5 PM. So I would choose this place again for a low-cost car rental since I overall had a good experience, but it would probably not be my first choice if I would fly into CHS and needed a car rental at the airport.
