I brought my phone here to have the screen replaced after it had been cracked. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After spending $130 to get my phone fixed my phone now has a multitude of issues. There is black lines through the front facing camera, I am unable to hear the audio of my phone calls and my phone will randomly restart and take forever to turn on. Not sure if I was unlucky or someone didn't care enough to do it correctly. read more

Did a solid job fixing my phone the first time around, fast and friendly service at a fair price. There was a small issue with the first repair which the screen wasn't completely sealed onto my iPhone, causing an error in communication between the touch screen and the phone. I paid for the premium glass replacement. A waste of money. It's only been a few months later and the glass does not heal any minor surface scratches. I just had a minor tumble and the glass now has a hairline crack across the whole screen. I should have had Apple replace it in the first place. I definitely would not pay for the premium glass again, or maybe that's not what they installed. It's clearly inferior. read more

Needed the screen replaced on my Nexus 6P. After some research, I found DropSmashFix whose site proudly displays "We fix anything" in a number of places. I took the phone into the shop and was told they won't work on it. Turns out "anything" doesn't really mean anything. EDIT: per another reviewer, they apparently dont do the Droid Maxx either and the rep I spoke to said he needed to check the list of "devices they dont service", so seems like it's more than just the 6P that's exempt from the list of everything. read more

After 5 1/2 years owning my Iphone 4s I finally did the unthinkable. Yup, I dropped it and smashed the LCD screen. Tony said no worries, it's an easy and quick fix. I brought my Droid Maxx to DropSmashFix with a cracked screen. They explained they don't carry the replacement part, but would order it for a $70 deposit, which I paid. Later that day, they called to rescind the offer, apparently they lack the expertise to swap out a Maxx screen. I give them a little credit for not launching into a repair they can't complete, but I'm annoyed they cost me a day and a trip. read more

Firstly, I went by the store on a Saturday morning around 11 AM. The "open" sign was up, but there was a tiny post-it note on the door that had "Be Right Back" scribbled on it. I ended up having to wait around for about 30 minutes before the guy came back...Really annoying and not a good first impression. Secondly, I had only come in for a very minor fix...the screen on my phone had begun to separate from the body so I just needed to add some adhesive to reattach. However, the clerk informed me that they have a "strict policy" that they don't work on Xperia phones, and that he didn't think anyone in town would. So basically, I wasted around an hour of my morning to essentially get told that I was screwed. I get that there are certain store policies, etc., but it would have been nice for the clerk to offer up some alternatives to try and help me out, e.g., names of other stores, etc. read more

Don't bother with the little phone fixer kiosk guys that can't put a screen protector on straight or give you the incorrect glass on a repair just to put you in the same boat after. DO NOT USE THEM!!! They took my money to purchase a battery, which they required me to come into the store to do. They looked at my phone and said that it would take an hour to fix. After more than a week, the battery came in so they asked me to bring in my phone. When I left my phone there, again they said that it would take an hour to fix. After an hour, I came back at which time they said they could not fix my phone without breaking the screen which would cost me $50 more and I would have to wait at least another week for the screen to come in. Why did they not tell me that either time I brought in my phone? Since my phone is the Moto Z Force with an unbreakable screen, I no longer had faith that they knew what they were doing. I requested a refund for the battery that I purchased. They said they couldn't give me my money back right away, but it would be in my account within a week. Immediately, I was suspicious. How can they justify not giving me my money back right away? Sure enough, a week later the money was not in my account. I have now called them no less than a dozen times. Each time they say they will take care of it. Now a month later, still no refund. The best spin I can put on this is that they are just very incompetent, the cynical side of me thinks that this is a scam. In the very beginning, they should have known more about my phone and now a month with no response in getting me my money back. Now the only recourse I feel I have is to take them to court. Bummer. To many other choices to have to deal with the delays and incompetence or outright fraud. read more

This place is the best! The camera on my old iPhone 5s recently stopped working. I assumed the camera was dead and needed to be replaced. I took it to the Apple store and after running diagnostics, they said indeed the camera is dead and replacement would cost $60. Then they asked me if anyone had ever worked on this phone before and when I replied that I had replaced the battery myself they refused to work on it. They said that technicians had been burned on the hands by third-party batteries and they did not want to take the risk. So I walked around the corner to DropSmashFix who told me replacing the camera would cost around $35 and would take 15 minutes. When the tech opened my phone he found that the camera works just fine, there was a loose screw that resulted in a bad connection. He tightened up the screw, refused to charge me any money and wished me a good day. In future if my phone sustains any damage, I'll definitely bring it to DropSmashFix to be repaired. They deliver cheerful, fast, reasonably priced service. read more

So the people who work here are nice and everything, but the quality of work is substandard. If you decide to have your phone fixed here you should expect to have to come back multiple times for problems that ensue. Luckily they do have a lifetime warranty on their work, but it kind of sucks that you'll have to keep coming back. My roommate initially cracked his iPhone screen and he went here to have it fixed. They fixed it and soon after I broke my screen. He had told me about the warranty and all so I decided to go through them to fix mine as well. Shortly after I had mine fixed my roommate started having all sorts of problems with his screen. It wasn't working and then literally started to come off. He had to go back three times for new screens and eventually just got a new phone. My screen started to not register whenever I touched it so I brought it back and it worked fine for a good bit. Then I rode on an airplane and now there's burn marks on the front of my screen. I can't really put the blame on dropsmashfix for it because I don't know what causes that kind of stuff. It was in my front pocket the whole time. I don't really care about the burn marks because they're pretty small, but now my screen is starting to come off so I will undoubtedly have to go back and get them to fix it again. This place is quicker and cheaper than going through your insurance or something, but in my experience their work is just so/so. read more
