The admission pricing was very reasonable, which was a nice surprise. However, the food inside is extremely expensive. My biggest concern was with the staff, particularly the lifeguards. I completely understand that safety comes first and that they're there to enforce the rules, but the way they communicated came across as rude and overly critical. For example, they corrected a child because their legs weren't hanging off the tube exactly how they wanted, yet there were no posted policies explaining these rules. It would help if expectations were clearly displayed for guests. I also noticed some lifeguards using their cell phones while on duty, which didn't seem very professional. Overall, the park has potential, but the customer service and staff training, especially in how they communicate with families, could use significant improvement. read more

If you have a child with special needs don't even bother coming. These young employees that work here do not understand and make no effort to. The rules they have are arbitrary and prevent kids with special needs from enjoying the park. The manager(s) will make an accommodating exception to rules but the staff doesn't communicate so you'll still get harassed by every employee constantly. We have tried coming back but it only gets worse. I have to speak to a manager every time, and even then there was an instance where I told the employee working here about having a special wristband, spoke with the managers and they still refused to honor the exception. Thought I would try again but nothing has changed. Constantly getting harassed and can't even enjoy the time here. Will not be going back. read more

Loved the lazy river. Wish they had more floaties. Sometimes, there weren't any tubes to use. Also, I don't like the rule about coolers. Coolers are allowed for a few. Waters are allowed for free. Food inside is good. My son loved the burgers. read more

The young staff have zero people skills and no patience for children. They are really strict on outside food so we ordered chicken strips for the kids and they were hard as a rock. Couldn't break the chicken apart to feed our toddler and I couldn't bite in to it. One of the many rude lifeguards, Desiree, was condescending with a smirk on her face when I was trying to explain the delay of my autistic son exiting the slide. He was stimming as he was exiting and she kept yelling over me to tell me him to get off the slide. As I went to approach the manger to complain, another parent came out of nowhere to join me in the complaint about the staff because she felt the same. The manager listened to my complaint and said she would address it and went and had an unserious conversation and joked and laughed with Desiree. Then walked away from her giving a thumbs up. Gave it a try! Apparently you can't even use your cell phone for pictures so be careful. I tried to take a family picture and was told not too. Yet everyone else had cell phones in their water pouches. Make it make sense, apply the rules to everyone and don't single out people. Plenty of people taking pictures so apply the rules to everyone. Decided to take my son for the day because it was HOT! He had a blast on the slides and the lazy River. Only "Boo" moment was the drinks systems were down so the soda was flat, and at the moment they only served water. The lifeguards did an excellent job, all that I encountered were professional. Respectful and strict when they needed to be for safety purposes. We will be back, we overall had a great experience. read more

Very bad experience. The staff at the ticket window was rude and very unprofessional. The two managers in the office were disrespectful, rude the both refused to listen to what the issue was. I could not get a word in with them over talking me. The girl the front slammed the window in my face while I was talking. Very unprofessional disrespectful staff I will never recommend this water park to anyone or wait my time, energy or money at such a place. There are plenty of other water parks than this one. Tried calling corporate to file a complaint no number listed not even the city seems to know any information on contacting main office to file a complaint. We arrived to the water park 2 hours before it opened to ensure that we got a place to sit. Well, we did find a spot and left our stuff as we would at any other water park. When we came back, our stuff was moved and a lady and her family took over our area. I approached her politely to let her know that we were sitting there but she refused to move. I went to speak to a manager and the manager didn't help fix the situation. To make the story short, they ended up asking us to leave and they gave us tickets for come back another day. I'm very disappointed at how they handled the situation and instead of getting her to move or to find us a place to sit, they ended up making us leave. I was super excited to bring my entire family but I would not want to go through this again. The managers are all very young and there should be someone with more experience working there atleast on weekends to help with problems like these. read more

we have been waiting in line for almost 30 minutes waiting for our food. not only that but all these lifeguard who did not wait in line have all walked up to the window and picked up their food and have all been served first. and they did not have any pizzas and did not post it outside. i just do not understand prioritizing people that they are paying and not the people that have literally paid and waited in the long lines. Also to add that after waiting in line for the 30 minutes and we walked up to ask what was going on we were greeted with being told they lost our order and that they would add it back into the queue but not prioritize it even though it was their fault that lost it. another thing is in their lazy river there are almost no floaties and when you grab a floaty life guard start yelling at you for any little thing you do. we came here expecting a nice day away from the sun and honestly it is just a poop show. it's like the entire park is being ran by 5 year olds. read more

Growing up, I lived 5 minutes away from Knott's Soak City Buena Park so summers spent at water parks were a thing! My brother and I would spend all day at the water park with our season passes. Dropzone is smaller, but now that I have a one year old, I can appreciate a smaller park! It's geared more toddler friendly. There's only a couple of "big slides", but the big slides were fun. What I like about this place is that it's not nearly as crowded as other water parks. We aren't waiting an hour in line for an attraction each time. I'd say 10-15 minutes at most! Sometimes usually a couple minutes. There are season passes available as well. Definitely something to check out! read more

Let me start by saying, I was pleasantly surprised with how cool this place is!! The setup is rad with a lazy River, slides, a kid area, a wave rider, and more. They have yummy snacks at their food bar and I believe you can pay a cooler fee to bring your own in. Unfortunately, when we had went the slides were closed for construction. They even offer swim lessons at this location. My one issue was how the employees would act towards the kids in the kid area, they need more training in how to be kind while instructing children. The attitudes don't help kids want to listen quite frankly. Aside from that, This place is a total gem of the valley and honestly I loved it. I'm excited to return next summer! read more

Went here for my daughters 11th birthday recently. Pricing is not bad to get in and a plus you can bring a cooler even though you pay for it to be brought in. The splash pads were down for the little kids we had with us " unsure if it was permanent or temporary". We rented out the Canopy tents and were to get food service but we had to track down someone at the food stand since no one ever came by. Only other thing is I wish they had more tubes for the lazy river. Seems like they only had a handful out so majority of people in the river just walked it, not sure if they are running out of them and not replacing them. Overall the kids had a great time which mattered the most. Will come definitely come back with the kids still. read more

This is such a fun little place that we have spent the last two summers at. This year has been even better because the staff has been so welcoming and fun. They've played rock paper scissors with the little ones waiting to go on the slides and we're so nice when checking the bags. We loved it before but that connection makes it better. read more

I signed my grandson up for the swimming lessons. And when we started swimming lessons none of the instructors really work with them. You basically are in the pool then just plain so I'm not sure why they charge you so much money when they do nothing to help them on this. Is the worst place I have ever seen for swimming lessons? That's one of those things. I would not recommend anybody to give and personally lessons The lack of support and trainers you get you will be disappointed. read more

This year hasn't been the best at Dropzone. Each time we go, the signs for the lines are very confusing and long. It takes forever to get food and they've even forgotten about my order. I think the slides only worked for a month or two. They are currently still off so everything else is extra packed. What broke the camel's back? The lazy river not cleaning itself. We normally go when it opens for a couple of hrs because there's less people. Until we started noticing how murky the water in the lazy river was at opening time. Large water slides don't work and no life vest. I've been coming here for over 4 years now. I just came here with my kids and it's looks like it's slowly going down hill. The large water slides weren't working (I've seen them posting on social media about them having issues with these slide) I called to see if they were working and nobody answered. Usually I never bring a life vest since they have provided them over the years. This year there were none available. The food is even more limited at least they have the basics I guess. However the workers are very slow. The life guards were great. My kids had a good time. I usually buy passes but I'm glad I skipped this year. I emailed the manager on 6/15 regarding safety issues and an employee threatening me. Have still not received any response and the gates are all still unattended wide open. Here is my email: Good afternoon, My child is currently attending swim lessons at your facility. This morning during the lesson, I walked into the water park side of the property through the open gate nearest the competition pool. I've never been to this water park and have been contemplating getting season passes for my family of five. The gate was wide open, and there were no signs prohibiting entry. I had seen other parents and families wander into that side days earlier. When I was near the snack bar area I was approached by a park employee who asked if I needed help. I explained that I was just checking out the facility while my child was in their swim lesson. He informed me that the water park side of the property was off limits and no one can be over there because it is not open yet and there are no life guards on duty. I apologized and explained that I wasn't aware seeing as how the gate was open and there were no signs. I was more than willing to leave the area, and was in no way challenging his authority. He then continued on to threaten me, saying that if he sees me over there again he will call the police and have me removed. His response was completely appalling and inappropriate. If no one is permitted to be on that side of the facility, and especially for liability with access to water, then why are there no signs and why is the gate wide open? There are numerous children there for swim lessons so it is highly irresponsible to leave an unattended gate open like that. There was absolutely no reason to threaten me when I had already apologized, and considering that it is the responsibility of the water park to have the pools secure and prohibited areas clearly designated and inaccessible- the water park management should be the ones being chastised. I had signed my child up for lessons at your facility and have been overlooking various issues I've witnessed in terms of organization and professionalism of the business because I like to support local businesses. The first day of scheduled class was canceled due to inclement weather. Canceling class for weather conditions is understandable, but a courtesy phone call notifying parents would have been more professional as opposed to relying on parents checking their email. On the first day of swim lessons, the front gates were closed and there was no one to direct parents. It appears that the standard practice is for everyone to walk in through the closed front gates without any permission or instruction from park staff. Then the parents just mill around until the swim instructors show up. The only area that is identified as off limits, is the seating area near the shallow end of the pool. So parents either have to stand alongside the pool near the lockers, or sit on the far side of the competition pool in the bleachers. For young children who may be nervous in the water, being able to look up to see their parents can be very comforting. For whatever reason, your management has decided to block off the area nearest the swim lessons. Clearly, your park staff is capable of making no entry signs, yet there are no signs or secured gates blocking entry into the water park side. My child has enjoyed swim lessons these first few days, but after my experience today, I have no interest in ever patronizing Drop Zone Water Park or continuing lessons once our session is completed. Other parents from our youth athletic programs have inquired about swim lessons, other than liking the swim instructor, I have nothing positive to say about our experience at your facility. I've attached a photo taken this morning of the gate into the water park. It is clearly open and there are no signs prohibiting entry. In the future, all gates should be secured and designated no entry areas should be marked accordingly. Staff should be educated on professionalism and the inappropriateness of making threats against patrons. read more

$18 per person was a little pricey for us but it doesn't happen often so we gave it a shot. They have a splash pad area, an area of waves for people to experience surfing (you have to sign a waiver on this one), at least 2 slides (maybe they have 3 but I'm not sure), a lazy river which my autistic son loves, and 1 or 2 pools. At the lazy river, they have inner tubes for people to sit on. They did a bag check when we got in. This is the part I don't like. They had something called water safety break. From 2:00-2:30, they pulled everybody out of the water and made them wait around to get back on. Don't know what the reason behind it but it was unnecessary to pull everybody out of the fun they were having. My husband rented a locker to put our wallets and phone. I give three stars. It was fun and my kids had a blast. The slides were down. There is limited seating, so get there early for shade and seats. Everyone working is very young. So they really don't know how to handle tough situations. The food is fair priced, but it took over an hour to order and receive 3 hamburgers.
