Check in was easy but a couple slides were closed and no signage until you got to the top

My daughter, grandson, a couple of friends, spent 2 nights 3 full days and we all had a grand mini vacation at the Southern California Great Wolf Lodge. We were able to get a decent deal with a grand bear suite, water park passes, kid wolf pass, and breakfast Buffett. They put a bracelet on you and that's all you need to get in room, water park, pay for food, gifts, snacks, etc. Nice not having to carry stuff. Room was clean, bed bug free (I check thoroughly), and the AC works well. We had a toilet that wouldn't flush they sent someone immediately, he used the room ice bucket to pour tap water into the back of tank which was odd to us but whatever we didn't plan on using it (we had a mini cooler with us). The indoor water park is super fun, bring goggles and eye drops because the chlorine is strong. Really strong!!! Lazy creek is the only ride that wasn't the clearest. Especially by the end of the day. Outdoor pool is lovely. Really refreshing. We were there during the week and it wasn't crowded at all. They have fun little kid activities afternoons and evenings. Food was great in the restaurant, pizza place, Buffett, and ice cream place. Free cups of ice water everywhere I asked for one. Mini golf was geared towards young kids(7 and under), adults don't waste your money. The kids enjoyed jungle climbing thing, and the obstacle course in the sky! It's a cashless resort but staff will accept cash tips if your service is exceptional and you feel generous. I'm not sure but I think tips are included with package deal at least they were with ours. The Fireside restaurant was good, however if you have dietary restrictions I wouldn't trust them, the chef came out discussed restriction with us, and when food came out and after asking confirming 3 separate times yes it was gluten free only to have the waiter come back to the table and take it away because it was not gluten free. Lucky for us our friend had only a small bite and knew it wasn't gluten free. They brought out another they assured us was but by that point we didn't trust. The pizza place and breakfast buffet were fabulous and were able to accommodate restriction easily. Arcade super fun ask the workers about deals they were pretty generous and we won a couple of jackpots! Great ticket/prize set up not like chuckechese nightmare! Lazer tag kids had fun. Parking is ridiculously expensive $35 a day self park even if you are staying overnight. Still super good time was had by all, and no one got sick so that's great! read more

It saddens me that I have to write this review. My G'kids had fun both times I've stayed but on BOTH visits, the hotel charged me double on add-ons and now I have to wait 7-10 days to get any resolutions. First time, I was ok mistakes happen, but AGAIN, I have to fight for my money. And then to add salt to injury, I don't get Voyager points on the first reservation because my reservation was thru Groupon. Not even on the extras I paid for at the hotel because the reservation wasn't direct. That is bad customer service. It makes me question wanting to go back. If I do I have to make sure I have enough money to cover their mistakes and not need the money quickly because you have to wait 7-10 days to get it back. It's not a good look for them. Families should not have these types of worries when they are vacationing. It sucks. read more

My kids absolutely loved Great Wolf Lodge! It's a really pretty property with plenty to keep the kids entertained, although I'll admit I expected it to be a little larger. In my opinion, it's geared more toward slightly older kids than toddlers, although they do have a section specifically for babies and little ones. The biggest downside for us was check-in. The line was huge, and the process was painfully slow. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes just to check in, which is a long time when you have excited kids ready to hit the water park. Once we finally got our room, though, we headed straight to the water park. The first day, my kids stuck to the smaller rides, and we saved the bigger slides for the second day. Most of the experience was great, but unfortunately, the tornado slide was a really bad experience for my kids. They were terrified, and my son actually threw up afterward. I was especially upset because I specifically asked the employee in charge if the slide was appropriate for younger kids. He told me it was. I even asked whether the yellow slide would be a better option for them, and he recommended the tornado instead. Knowing what I know now, I definitely would have chosen differently. Putting that experience aside, the kids had a lot of fun overall. They really enjoyed the drinks, and we thought the pizza at The Hungry Wolf was pretty good. The room was comfortable, although the bed felt a little stiff for my liking. One thing I really appreciated was being able to check out the next day and still use the water park for the rest of the day. We were able to shower in the bathrooms near the water park before heading home, which was super convenient and made the most of our last day. Overall, we had some highs and definitely a couple of lows, but the kids had enough fun that they're already asking to go back. So despite the long check-in and our not-so-great tornado-slide experience, I'm sure we'll probably be back! read more

Our last hoorah before summer ends and back to school officially begins. we spent the day here today after purchasing a day pass. There have been a lot of updates since my last visit just last year. New eating space inside, additional cabanas, and the outdoor pool has also had some upgrades with new sun loungers. There's a lot to do and you can easily spend the entire day here, like we did, filled with fun family friendly activities for all ages. $40 each for a day pass, definitely worth the price for all you can do. The food situation was a little disorganized, they are revamping the food scene inside the actual water park area, but I think once it's all done it'll be fine. We had a fun day! read more

Visited Great Wolf Lodge for the first time and purchased a day pass for around $40 per adult on a Friday. Parking is $35 for the day, or $10 for the first two hours plus $5 for each additional hour. I appreciated that the parking structure is covered. One thing that surprised me was how warm and humid the indoor water park felt. The temperature is kept at 84 degrees, which makes sense for swimming but it was a little muggy and took some getting used to. There are several different play areas that help spread out the crowds. We spent most of our time in the toddler/young kids' section, which was perfect for little ones. The kids also had a great time in the outdoor play area. We rented a cabana for the day and thought it was well worth it, especially for larger groups since open seating can be difficult to find. Our cabana included bottled water in a mini fridge, a small locker, two lounge chairs, a dining table, a couch, towels, and thin curtains that could be closed for a little extra privacy (although they are somewhat see-through). Overall, we had a great experience. It's a fun destination for families year-round since the indoor water park stays warm regardless of the weather. LONG REVIEW AHEAD! We took our daughter to Great Wolf Lodge for her 4th birthday, and it ended up being the perfect little getaway. We stayed one night, arriving Saturday morning and leaving Sunday around noon, and honestly, that was just the right amount of time. A quick tip before you book. I called instead of booking online so I could make sure every available discount was applied. If you're an educator (like me), military (active, retired, or veteran), first responder, nurse, medical provider, government employee, or fall under the Howling Heroes program, there's a discount. The savings were significant. Also, add the Wolf Pass when you book. It's cheaper than waiting until check-in, and we definitely got our money's worth. Now, check-in... whew. It felt like we were checking bags at the airport. Be prepared for a line. The water park opens at 10:00 a.m., but rooms officially aren't ready until 4:00 p.m. You can utilize the park while you wait for your room! We checked in around noon and got lucky. Our room was ready around 1:30, which was a pleasant surprise. I skipped the birthday package because, for us, it wasn't worth the cost. Instead, I ordered decorations from Amazon and decorated our room and the front door while my husband kept our daughter busy at the water park. Seeing her face when she walked in made it 100% worth it. The best way I can describe Great Wolf Lodge is this: it's like a mini Vegas for kids. There is always something happening. Download the app before you go because it makes planning your day much easier. Some activities were better than others. We weren't impressed with Meet the Pack or Story Time. It honestly gave low-budget Chuck E. Cheese character energy. We went once and that was enough. The water park, though? That's where the fun is. Our daughter spent most of her time in the kiddie area, where she could safely explore with us close by. The wave pool was another favorite. Every time you heard the howl, everyone knew the waves were about to start, and the excitement never got old. We also spent time at the outdoor pool, which was just as enjoyable. The Wolf Pass kept us busy. We played mini golf and bowling together, and we made sure to check off just about everything included. One thing to know about the Build-A-Bear experience. The pass covers only the bear. If your child wants clothes, accessories, or even the little carrying box, those are extra. The box alone was $2. We packed our own drinks and snacks, which saved us a little money. For dinner, we ordered the large Honey Pepperoni pizza, and it was actually really good. Before heading home Sunday morning, we grabbed Dunkin' Donuts downstairs, which made for an easy breakfast before the drive back. Overall, this was such a fun birthday trip. I rarely leave reviews, especially negative ones, but this stay raised concerns that were initially poorly addressed. We're locals and have stayed at this property sometimes 2-3/yr over the years, often taking advantage of the Voyager promotions. Until this visit, we haven't had a bad experience. The biggest issue started unfortunately, at check-in. When I asked Cecilia about the kiosk authorization amount because I had recently been traveling and had previously been given a different amount for authorization, I was rudely told to "check my email." The response felt unnecessarily condescending. I was simply trying to clarify the amount so I could make the appropriate funds available as I wanted to take advantage of the expedited check in. The check-in became unnecessarily long and overwhelming, to the point that a manager had to step in. Unfortunately, the experience continued downhill. We were checked into a room that had not been properly cleaned, including feces left in the toilet. This is the first time in five years that we have experienced a cleanliness issue with our room. The waterpark was also noticeably less maintained than during our previous visits. There was hair throughout the lazy river and pool area, along with dirty towels left around. The surf simulator was also removed, which was disappointing because my daughter had been looking forward to it. I recently had a baby and brought an infant float, only to learn after getting into the pool that personal floats were not permitted. I understand that this is the policy; I simply was not aware of it because I had never visited with an infant before. However, policies should still be communicated clearly and respectfully. The same applies to the new wristband policies. We have always been given wristbands for our party, and the new policy was explained in a way that made me feel as though I had done something wrong rather than simply being informed of a change. Management was also disappointing. Instead of immediately focusing on resolving the concerns, the manager seemed more focused on explaining the policies. Policies can change, but that should never come at the expense of respectful customer service. I do want to recognize Leo. He stepped in quickly, listened, and genuinely tried to turn the experience around. He explained the policies kindly and respectfully without making me feel condescended to for asking questions. His customer-centric approach is exactly what I have come to expect from this property. We have been loyal guests for years and have always enjoyed coming here. This is the first time we have experienced issues with both the cleanliness of the room and the waterpark, along with such poor customer service. Coming from both a travel agent and a parent, I really wanted to love Great Wolf Lodge Anaheim, but unfortunately, I don't think it lived up to the hype or the price. We stayed for my son's birthday and booked the Grizzly Bear Suite. The room itself was very spacious, which we appreciated, but we specifically paid for a renovated room and did not receive one. We also noticed the air-conditioning units showed they had not been serviced since 2020, which was disappointing considering what we paid. We also purchased a cabana. At check-in, we were told our reservation was there and everything was fine. The following day, when we went to the water park to use it, we were suddenly told we did not have a cabana reservation. We were sent to speak with Alex at the cabana rental area, and unfortunately, he was extremely rude and unhelpful during our interaction. Once we finally got everything sorted out, our cabana even had the wrong name on it. The food situation at the cabana was another disappointment. Honestly, all I wanted was some fake cheese. I wanted a pretzel with cheese or loaded fries, but pretty much everything on the menu involving cheese was unavailable. Our waitress, Iris, was AMAZING. She was one of the best employees we encountered and explained that they had removed a large portion of the menu, but the menus being shown to guests had not been updated. She was incredibly sweet and helpful, and obviously none of that was her fault. But if items are no longer available, the menu needs to reflect that instead of advertising food guests can't actually order. The water park was also extremely crowded and humid. Great Wolf Lodge sells day passes, so overnight guests paying premium resort prices are sharing the same amenities with a large number of additional day guests. I understand offering day passes, but I really think there needs to be better capacity control. When the main reason you're staying at the resort is the water park, it's frustrating when it's so packed that it takes away from the experience. Another thing parents may want to know: if you're not a big drinker, I would personally leave the common areas earlier in the evening or head back to your room. By the end of the day, we saw quite a few adults who appeared very intoxicated, and the atmosphere definitely changed. I do want to recognize the employees who made our stay better. The women working in the buffet area were wonderful and sang happy birthday to my son several times, which made him feel really special. Iris at the cabana was fantastic, and there was also a very tall gentleman working in the bowling area whose name I unfortunately didn't get. He was extremely kind and helpful as well. Honestly, the coolest part might be the commercials because they sell this place REALLY well. I have to give them that. You watch the commercials and expect this amazing, polished family resort experience, and the reality just didn't match that expectation for us. Your kids might absolutely love Great Wolf Lodge. They'll see the slides, arcade, MagiQuest, bowling and activities and probably think it's the best place ever. But from a parent's perspective, I just don't think it's worth the hype for what you're paying. As a travel agent, I look at the overall value of a trip -- accommodations, cleanliness, service, food, amenities, crowds and what a family is actually getting for their money. For a child's birthday getaway, I would personally choose LEGOLAND California Resort instead. You can stay on-site and have LEGOLAND, the water park and SEA LIFE Aquarium, and depending on your dates, the overall price may not be that different. The kids would probably go back tomorrow. The parent paying the bill? I'd spend my money somewhere else. read more

Okay, this is the most interesting review for me yet because I am a once 1 star reviewer to a now 4 of this spot! Previously, I had attended during an unfortunate time when the kiddy pool was being closed down to be shocked multiple times. Back to back. Incidents that shut the pool down for hours at a time and then caused my health to also be affected thereafter.... I came back for this visit since my kids' Cub Scout group was celebrating their year end achievements and it was a great opportunity to join our community and give it another shot for the kids. They also were older and not on the baby pool. Well, I'm so glad I did. Despite the renovations going on, things seemed more organized and clean. The check- in process was much more streamlined and efficient and our rooms were ready and clean (no carpets!! Yay clean room!) with a view that wasn't great since the climbing area was literally right outside, but the kids loved it! Everyone still gets their free wolf ears too. The restaurant breakfast buffet had staff around to mind all the little and big hands reaching for food and we had a "breakfast taco bar" the family really enjoyed. The pool is full of flavors for all age levels and adventurers but a treat for me was seeing the outside pool area- there were loungers in the water, shaded regular seats, cabanas and no echos. It was like a resort! Inside is louder and humid while outside is full sun but open. Something for everyone. Lots of fun free and paid activities so be sure to check the schedule. We took part in story time (free) and yoga (free). I also appreciated the midweek crowd level even for a summer. I recommend you give it a try to see if it's a fit for your family! Great wolf lodge is a kid friendly indoor water park plus hotel. From check in they have kiosks and helpful employees as well as traditional counters. Design of hotel and water park is for kids to as old as junior high in my opinion. Adults will have fun with larger slides and tunnels. Parking is $5 per hour and $35 per day. Storage locker is $12, $15, and $17 depending on sizes. Food is extra. They look yummy. Basically it's a good weekend or weekday getaway with family if you get a deal. The package means you get two days of water park and one night for everyone and may have extra park tickets for friends. I have fun, kids will love wave pool, anything with water. Giant slides. You will feel safe as they have presence of workers / life guard at every pool. They are well trained and very friendly and professional. What a fun experience. We went on the thanksgiving break. It was perfectly warm inside. The kids had a blast. For me it was a bit humid sitting indoors. There were long lines and it was expected . We stayed in the lodge and got 6 tickets free. The rooms were fine but needed a lift badly . The mattress were old and not comfortable. Exceptional service from sales department and servers at the cabana had great service. We come here yearly to stay in the resort and enjoy the waterpark. I'm happy to see all the renovations being completed and some still in the works of completing. The cabanas have been updated since the last time we rented one more modern and new touches to the outdoor pool and they add a hot tub outside area. The rooms have been renovated as well no more of that wild pattern and no more carpet... It great place there's many activities to do here outdoor adventure park, bowling alley, laser tag, food vendors (Dunkin donuts, there's a pizza co. , ice cream parlor etc.) , water park indoor & outdoor. I booked online and used Applepay to pay for the room, which turned out to be a big mistake that cost me 40 minutes in line. Use a credit card to book your room, so you can use their quick check in line. Either way, make sure you take the exact card you use to book for checking in. Before you go, buy the discounted dining deal. You can only buy it in advance, and the food and drinks are pretty pricey, so you will spend $$$. I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. One day was plenty of time if you don't plan on doing all of the activities. read more

The water park appears to be well-maintained, and employees are ready to assist you should you need assistance and/ or simply have a question. I don't know how clean the water is in the pool area as I personally saw a 8-10 year boy peeing in the pool and people around simply laughing about it, YUCK!! The way I see it, if one boy urinated in front of others , how many others do it without anyone noticing? Stayed here as a property option offered through Time Share- Hilton Grand Vacation. There is self check-in for regular guests, I opted to go to the front desk since I had questions regarding our stay and parking. Alex and Jorge assisted me and provided great customer service by answering every question I had, even guided me through the prepaying my parking. We booked a Family Suite, it was spacious for my family of 3 although it could accommodate up to 6 people. Although there was a mini ref for our drinks and food, wish there was a microwave in our own room. There was a "community" microwave by the ice and vending machines, however, it needs to be cleaned for the next person and there were no paper towels for one to wipe splatters/spills. The sink and bath fixtures were loose, but was doable. I am glad that GWL allows guests to still enjoy the waterpark the day of checkout, even lets guest to stay parked in the garage up to 10pm, the day of checkout. It's also great that there an Anaheim Regional Transit (ART) Bus stop just outside the hotel, that would take us to the Disneyland Parks and Downtown Disney. The waterpark is great for kids, tweens, teens and young adults. Can get overly crowded. Lots of food options, entertainment is mostly for the kids. read more

This was hands down the most amazing place my family and I have ever been. We went for a three-day birthday trip and there wasn't a single dull moment. Arcade, indoor water park, laser tag, ropes course, magic wand quest, summer activities plus plenty of food options - buffet, restaurant, Dunkin', pizza, ice cream - and all that. Everything is right there, so you honestly never need to leave. It's super family-friendly and the staff is exceptionally kind. We got birthday pins, constant birthday wishes, and even a song and cake at the buffet. The room itself was decent, not fancy, but comfortable. We had a queen bed and a fun little kids' cabin bunk area. The hotel kept things warm because of the indoor water park, but the room had AC. Valet was convenient, and the whole place is massive with tons to explore. It is a bit pricey, but for us, absolutely worth it. My family and I experienced Great Wolf Lodge the first time. We stayed for the night. Check in was at 4pm and that's the time we got there. I had some trouble with checking in, your ID and credit card you use to pay must matched so please keep that in mind. Thankfully the worker helped me and we were good to go because we drove 4 hours away! Our room was clean and there's a lot of renovations going on in this location. I recommend bringing the kids even if it's for the day, the park is open from 10am-8pm. So many amenities like golf, laser tag, bowling, arcade and of course the indoor waterpark for all ages. I'd say the food there is pretty expensive so I advise leaving to get food elsewhere you can bring it inside your rooms but not in the park! I'll be back again! read more

Love this place! The promotions they run are amazing and the fact that it includes water park access is great. I found it cute that you get the wolf ears at check-in. We've stayed in the wolf den and also the family suite and both rooms are nice! Rooms come with mini fridge. Beds were comfortable for us! Microwave is usually where the ice machine is. if you schedule permits it, try to go during weekdays when school is in session. parking is about $36 with tax and all done via QR code that you scan upon entering. You will use that same QR code when going in/out. There is also an outdoor water park but we always just stay inside. everything is accessed/charged with the bracelet you get at check-in. On check in day, you can access the water park as soon as it opens, as well as check out day, you can use it until closing. There's plenty of places to eat nearby if you dont feel like eating at the lodge. The first time we visited, we did dinner at the restaurant, got pizza for lunch and did the breakfast buffet. It was just ok..nothing that stood out and kind of pricey but wanted to experience it. The second time, we opted to go to other places. tons of other activities like bowling, mini golf and the arcade. Everyone seems to have their complaint about this place. But when you look at the big picture its a wash. Look how many families are coming in and out of this place. The percentage of negative reviews is probably not a blip on the great scheme of things. People always writes reviews when something negative happens but when things go right majority of people dont. You go here and expect madness. Kids everywhere, crowds, etc. You want tranquil all to yourself feel and vibes, go vacation to a remote island somewhere. This is for the kids. Plenty of things to do. The water slides are enough to keep kids having fun for a while. For added fees there are other optional activities but seems more geared toward younger kids. so why 4 out of 5 stars? Because I've been to the one in northern california (manteca). This property seems older. More crowded, and just doesnt have the same lodge vibes. There simply isnt the same WOW factor as the Manteca location. There is no parking garage in Manteca but instead a vast land of parking spaces. So the Lodge just commands attention and shows you are about to enter something grand. Here they use a parking structure and although efficient it just doesnt give of same vibes. The "Grand Lobby" here is also just meh. The area and space seems so fragmented and doesnt have a good flow. The manteca location is structured so well. You walk in from the main entrance and you are really in a Grand Lobby with the towering fireplace. Here its off to the side and now filled with arcade games. That fireplace is usually the photo spot for families in Manteca. Here you really dont have that. People have said the waterpark itself is better here. If it is, I didn't notice it too much. It isn't that much better to really matter. The wave pool here definitely is stronger which is very cool. But the lazy river, and everything else seems on par. I believe they have an extra attraction with the surf/wake board simulator. So IMO, the Manteca location is better overall. But this is a much better location being in SoCal with lots of other things to do here. While Manteca is basically nothing but Great Wolf Lodge. read more

First time at great wolf lodge. Stayed for 1 night. The room was nice and clean upon arriving. The room did have a mini fridge and the microwave was located where the ice machine is which was nice. The water park itself was fun, didn't have any problems! There was a lot of constructions inside and out. I didn't eat at any of the restaurants inside, went out to eat and came back. I honestly didn't even realize there was an indoor water park here in O.C., so this was a pleasant surprise. My family and my in-laws planned a weekend trip here, and I went in with low expectations, but I genuinely ended up enjoying the getaway. Let me break it down with some pros and cons. Pros: -Indoor water park is the biggest highlight. Perfect for families, especially since weather isn't an issue. It was rainy Christmas, but we all enjoyed the stay. -Plenty of water attractions for kids of all ages. It keeps them entertained for hours. -Very family-friendly environment. The staff are used to kids and families, which makes everything feel more relaxed. -Great bonding experience for families. Everyone stayed busy and entertained. -They have extra activities for the kids throughout the day besides the water attractions such as arts & crafts. Cons: -Food is pricey for what you get. Quality is okay, but definitely on the expensive side. -It was overly crowded on the Christmas weekend. -Extra activities cost extra, which adds up quickly. -The property is HUGE. Our room was very far from the elevator, and after a long day with kids, that walk felt extra long. Definitely ask for a room closer to the elevator if you can. -Cleanliness could improve, especially in the restrooms and common areas, which felt a bit neglected at times with the heavy foot traffic. -Parking is $35 a night Addendum (Helpful Tip) Although official check-in is at 3 PM, you can check in as early as 10 AM and still access the water park. This was a huge plus and allowed us to maximize our first day instead of waiting around. Overall If you have kids and are looking for a fun, easy weekend trip, this place is definitely worth checking out. For the water park, we had a blast. Plenty for my 4 and 5 year old kids to see and do. Was it tiring? Absolutely, especially for us parents chasing the kids down and making sure no one drowned. But otherwise, lots of slides and splash zones for the kids to explore. They were big fans of the wave pool. Even got to go down the big tube ride as a family, which was a lot of fun. They have different height restrictions, so would double check heights before you head over. Once there, they have height check stations and slap on different colored bands depending on height, so workers can quickly tell if you meet requirements for certain activities. Plenty of lifeguards, so overall, felt very safe. Even though most were kids themselves, they did a great job keeping close tabs on the pools and intervening when necessary. Water was heated/warm. There's a towel station right as you enter. You need to check in/out your towels. Finding an empty chair was sometimes challenging, even on a weekday. No outside food/drinks, but they were usually OK with us bringing in water bottles. As for lodging. That's a whole different experience, and more like 1-2 stars. We stayed in one of the non-renovated rooms with bunk beds for the kids. It definitely felt dated. One of the bunk beds still had hair on the pillows and sheets, so didn't look like it was changed. We also had an insect problem with small flying insects in the room. The fixtures were falling apart where you had to turn the bath handle a certain way to get it running. Housekeeping does not refresh sheets/towels during the stay, unless requested. We debated staying the second night...Will definitely not stay overnight again. read more

We started off the day with a good time, our 5 year old loved wave pool and large playground like structure, as well as the lazy river. There is hot food conveniently located inside as well as lockers to store your items for the day, and restrooms conveniently located. However we had to leave after a couple hours because my wife slipped and fell in the ladies bathroom where there was a pool of standing water and slippery tiles. She ended up fracturing a her wrist and is currently in a cast. The staff was nice enough to help out as she passed out due to the pain and wheel chaired my wife to our car. Our son was so disappointed we had to leave early but it is what it was. Be aware when walking around in the lower bathroom, it can be very slippery. We hope to return again one day as our child really enjoyed it. It would have been nice if they had followed up being that it was $240 before taxes for day passes for 3 people and we were only able to spend 2 hours in the park before we had to leave. read more

The outdoor pool is closed, the wave is closed, there are not enough pillows and mats for slides 4. The quest with magic wands-half doesn't work, the devices are twisted 5. This was the worse experience I've ever had with any establishment. I contacted great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove for a celebration for my grandsons birthday. It took me two weeks to confirm two rooms for August 29, 2026. So much happened after we got there. It was terrible then I find out today that they charge my credit card for two rooms one for $75 and the other for $45 for towels that we used during swimming. I was told that we can leave the towels in the rooms on checkout day. Why did they charge me and I left the towels in the room I called this morning. They hung up in my face twice. The last representative sent me a confirmation to receive my money back in 7 to 10 days. I am so stressed out this has made my account negative. I cannot get the corporate office, but I will start working on getting to the television stations so I can alert the public to be careful about this place the great wolf Lodge in Garden Grove. read more

This is to give the management an objective feedback. The place needs an upgrade from customer service to the cleanliness and laundry issues. The check-in was a long line. Fine, it's expected that's why we came in earlier than check-in time of 4pm. We've been coming to this place almost every year for the past 8 years. We always get lucky of having the rooms ready even before 4pm. This is the first time that we waited for more than 2 hours to get checked in. I received a text at 4:42pm that the room is ready. Yes we were there trying our luck at 2pm. The thing is, for this big indoor waterpark, they dont have hotel storage! Meaning, where we can stall our luggages while waiting for the room to be available so the kids can swim. We don't want to waste our time just sitting in the lobby! Even small hotels have hotel storage but this place! This kills the excitement of the kids. They keep on asking "Is the room ready yet?" Take note, I didn't get the package through Groupon, I got the package as regular price! The kids need adult supervision to be in the pool but with our luggage's it's hassle to take it inside the pool. Here's a new thing with them, "Go to the Hilton booth to get ur headband." Whaaaat?! What is the alterior motive in this. We used to get the head band either in the reception area or at the gift shop, this time in the Hilton booth?! Okay, we went ti the booth. Guess what?! They are offering (not a time share) but something like Hilton packages at discounted price + $200 credit to Wolf Lodge when you come back within 13 months. I already set my mind, I'm not coming back anymore, so she was not able to sell it to me. Finally at 4:42pm we got the text message that the room was ready. The room is clean. But the towels are ratty, super thin (meaning over used), the sides of the towels are ripping. Omg, i should have just brought our own towels. Here's the worst part, one of the towels has a faint red stain. As a nurse, there's a lot going on in my mind... is this a blood that they didn't get to washed well, gross! The carpet looks clean but old, I even asked the kids not to take their shoes off, i don't want to walk barefoot in the room. Now let's go to the waterpark. It's Spring Break, of course we are expecting to have the place packed.. but it's beyond crowded! The floors have multiple hairs and dirty. I didn't go in the water. I just let the kids enjoy. Come dinner time. Not a lot of choices cus the Lodge restaurant was closed, so they only have the Loose Moose. So we went to the pizza place. The pizza and pasta, not bad. The reason why I still give 2-star cuz The kids still had fun. I didn't share with them my frustrations in this place cuz I don't want to ruin their weekend getaway. We got the adventure pass which was supposed to be good for unlimited access to the obstacle course , miniature golf and bowling . We were asked by multiple employees multiple times for the receipt . Mind you we had a lanyard and bracelets on for the pass. Yet we're still asked . They have the Same thing at Colorado and Arizona . Neither place harassed us when there . Very disappointing stay at Great Wolf Lodge. Unfortunately, our experience started off poorly and only got worse. We couldn't check-in at the kiosk because we used Apple Pay to book the stay which caused us to waste a good 30-45 minutes at the main check in line. Once we finally checked in and got to our "renovated" room, we found hair hanging from the shower curtain, a dirty soap area in the shower, and a loose sink handle that moved every time we tried to wash our hands. What really left a bad taste in my mouth, though, was our experience at the Hilton Grand Vacations kiosk. We went over because my daughter wanted to get her ears and take a family photo. I had her sitting on the kiosk because I could no longer hold her, and the woman suggested we wait for my husband and son, who had gone to the car, so we could "howl" together, get her ears done, and take a photo. It quickly became clear that the real goal was to get us to listen to a timeshare presentation. Once I politely declined, her attitude completely changed. She rudely told me to move my daughter because they had to sanitize the kiosk after every family. We never even got to do the family "howl," and we were rushed through the photo booth and out. The entire interaction felt incredibly rude and uncomfortable. And then there's the water park. It did not feel clean. Walking around barefoot, you genuinely feel gross. The wave pool had hair and what appeared to be nails/nail polish floating in the water. Even the towels you get to dry off are stained. It just felt gross. For what you pay to stay here, I expected a cleaner, more enjoyable experience. Between the check-in issues, the condition of the room, the water park cleanliness, and the incredibly disappointing customer service, I left feeling completely turned off. I'm going to start with the positives: Room upgrades were pretty good. Love that the floors aren't nasty carpet. Wish the kids beds were more comfortable with nicer sheets. The not so great: Water park is dirty. Hairs all over the floor like chunks of hairs everywhere not just a strand here and there. I was disgusted walking around in my bare feet. Also, during our time someone pooped in the wave pool (like adult size). I get that this is not the hotel's fault but disgusting watching it being taken care of in a biohazard bag and the thought of: is this water recycling throughout the whole park? We left right after that (5pm) so I'm not sure when it was opened back up but I know It was back up and running the next morning. Also, we had a cabana rented. My husband thought it would be nice to be near the bathrooms, but the smell coming from the restroom was horrendous so we luckily were able to move to a new cabana. If it had been any busier, we would've had to stay there or hopefully get a refund. I agree with another review, asking for a dress code because there were some outfits that were extremely inappropriate for such a family and kid friendly establishment. I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed how dirty the carpets were. There was also construction happening in the lobby, with areas covered in plastic, which made the first impression less than welcoming. After checking in, we went to the water park. The strong smell of chlorine was overwhelming, suggesting the ventilation may not be adequate. The water in the kids' basketball area appeared unclean, with visible debris. While sitting nearby, I was very concerned to see cockroaches on the wall behind me. At that point, we decided not to dine at any of the on-site restaurants. The bathrooms in the water park were also uncomfortable, with the air conditioning blasting while you're wet, which made it unpleasant to use. As for the room, it did not meet expectations. The bed was uncomfortable and made a loud squeaking noise with any movement. The mattress sagged in the middle, causing us to roll inward during the night. The kids' bunk bed was extremely dusty, and I had to clean it myself due to my child's dust allergies. Overall, this stay fell far short of what we expected. Just want to mention one positive thing. Be ready! On a non busy weekday I could see this being fun! But on a busy weekend it's pretty hectic. One thing other than a crowd is the air circulation is horrible. The rooms have very poor AC. And they don't clean the rooms everyday unless u stay 3 nights or more. Arcade was cool. And the kids had fun on the mini golf & zip line. There is a height minimum & an adult may need to join the little ones. Get the wolf pass it's worth the money. Only thing is both my kids build-a-bears did not get sewn closed properly so those were ruined before the trip was over. read more

We were there from 6/27/26-6/30/26, it was going great til on the second night my youngest son got pink eye from the bedding sheets that the housekeeping provide us and we were sleeping on the sofa bed and it was horrible to think that they don't sanitize the room enough or didn't wash the beddings correctly.
