Everyone seems to have their complaint about this place. But when you look at the big picture its a wash. Look how many families are coming in and out of this place. The percentage of negative reviews is probably not a blip on the great scheme of things. People always writes reviews when something negative happens but when things go right majority of people dont. You go here and expect madness. Kids everywhere, crowds, etc. You want tranquil all to yourself feel and vibes, go vacation to a remote island somewhere. This is for the kids. Plenty of things to do. The water slides are enough to keep kids having fun for a while. For added fees there are other optional activities but seems more geared toward younger kids. so why 4 out of 5 stars? Because I've been to the one in northern california (manteca). This property seems older. More crowded, and just doesnt have the same lodge vibes. There simply isnt the same WOW factor as the Manteca location. There is no parking garage in Manteca but instead a vast land of parking spaces. So the Lodge just commands attention and shows you are about to enter something grand. Here they use a parking structure and although efficient it just doesnt give of same vibes. The "Grand Lobby" here is also just meh. The area and space seems so fragmented and doesnt have a good flow. The manteca location is structured so well. You walk in from the main entrance and you are really in a Grand Lobby with the towering fireplace. Here its off to the side and now filled with arcade games. That fireplace is usually the photo spot for families in Manteca. Here you really dont have that. People have said the waterpark itself is better here. If it is, I didn't notice it too much. It isn't that much better to really matter. The wave pool here definitely is stronger which is very cool. But the lazy river, and everything else seems on par. I believe they have an extra attraction with the surf/wake board simulator. So IMO, the Manteca location is better overall. But this is a much better location being in SoCal with lots of other things to do here. While Manteca is basically nothing but Great Wolf Lodge. read more

Honestly- our one night trip was simply better than expected. Hassle free, easy, fun. I would have given 5 STARS but there was a ton of construction on the property (not the biggest deal, but kind of a bummer). Details below. -parking was easy. -room check in at the kiosk was easy. -the kiosk printed our wristbands out. -I got a text with our room number about 30 min later (I would have preferred no wait, but it was the busy check in time). -we went to dinner at BJs down the road, no wait, very good 2 family dinner. Great M-F deals. -my kids did the high ropes course and liked it. We hit the arcade for about 15 minutes, they didn't really like it (but it's under construction, they were moving machines up into the lobby). -I brought chocolate croissants and muffins, we ate bfast in the room. The rooms have large mini fridges, there's a small microwave where the ice machines are on each floor, there's a good enough weird coffee machine in each room. -we loaded our regular bags into the car, checked out of our of the room at 9:40, got into the line for the pool. -got plenty of chairs together for the adults. -my advice: you do not needs chairs for each kid, especially older kids. They stop by, sit, and bounce. Most people eat at the tables, there are signs that people can only sit at tables for 30 min, we never had a problem eating at tables (it's so much easier). Don't waste a bunch of chairs on kids who never use them.... -the bar drinks at the pool were very very good. the Bloody Mary was the best one I've ever had. Yep. We had a mango pineapple rum drink that was so good, not too sweet at all. -every staff member we encountered was on point, very helpful and kind. -I charged everything using my wristband, very easy. CONS: -I've been several times. In my option, the pizza place is the only food worth getting when you are at the pool. The Bucket food place in the pool area is just not good, it's very cafeteria and expensive. -I saw about 15 people slip and fall, mostly near the life jacket stand outside the wave pool. Like full on hard falls. An employee has a floor squeegee, but it's pretty useless. Even people walking slipped. -the headboards in the renovated rooms are pretty bad and dangerous. They have posts spaced out like 5 inches that have right-edge corners, so, sharp. And the pillows are not enough and not fluffy. When you lean back, your head slams into those pillar posts. My daughter's head went right between two posts so she hit both sides of her head on the posts. I hit my head too. Who the hell thought that was a great design? After that issue, I noticed all the hard corners on everything in the room. My kids are older now, but parents or younger kids, take note. read more

Overall, we had a good experience at Great Wolf Lodge. It's a fun place for a family day trip, and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. While it may not be somewhere we'd go or come.. for a vacation, it's definitely worth visiting for a day. The only negative experience we had involved an employee named Stephanie who was working the family raft slide. She came across as though she genuinely didn't want to be there. It didn't ruin our visit by any means, but when you're in a family-focused environment, a friendly attitude goes a long way. Also, during one of our turns on the family slide, the wait was noticeably longer than it should have been compared to all of our previous rides, which slowed things down a bit. Definitely a bit miss managed as it seems as 1-2 employees max were bouncing back and forward to push the rafts down. Something that popped into mind free of charge lol. One suggestion for the marketing team: consider giving away complimentary waterproof phone pouches. They cost only a few dollars at retail store ( Walmart ) so I'd imagine they could be purchased in bulk at a much lower cost. Guests would use them throughout the park, and many would likely take pictures and post all over there social media as I saw almost every partner with one,I know I did and will posting family pic and already have all the family said they'd want to come..giving Great Wolf Lodge free advertising and great brand exposure every time they're used elsewhere. Okay, this is the most interesting review for me yet because I am a once 1 star reviewer to a now 4 of this spot! Previously, I had attended during an unfortunate time when the kiddy pool was being closed down to be shocked multiple times. Back to back. Incidents that shut the pool down for hours at a time and then caused my health to also be affected thereafter.... I came back for this visit since my kids' Cub Scout group was celebrating their year end achievements and it was a great opportunity to join our community and give it another shot for the kids. They also were older and not on the baby pool. Well, I'm so glad I did. Despite the renovations going on, things seemed more organized and clean. The check- in process was much more streamlined and efficient and our rooms were ready and clean (no carpets!! Yay clean room!) with a view that wasn't great since the climbing area was literally right outside, but the kids loved it! Everyone still gets their free wolf ears too. The restaurant breakfast buffet had staff around to mind all the little and big hands reaching for food and we had a "breakfast taco bar" the family really enjoyed. The pool is full of flavors for all age levels and adventurers but a treat for me was seeing the outside pool area- there were loungers in the water, shaded regular seats, cabanas and no echos. It was like a resort! Inside is louder and humid while outside is full sun but open. Something for everyone. Lots of fun free and paid activities so be sure to check the schedule. Great wolf lodge is a kid friendly indoor water park plus hotel. From check in they have kiosks and helpful employees as well as traditional counters. Design of hotel and water park is for kids to as old as junior high in my opinion. Adults will have fun with larger slides and tunnels. Parking is $5 per hour and $35 per day. Storage locker is $12, $15, and $17 depending on sizes. Food is extra. They look yummy. Basically it's a good weekend or weekday getaway with family if you get a deal. The package means you get two days of water park and one night for everyone and may have extra park tickets for friends. I have fun, kids will love wave pool, anything with water. Giant slides. You will feel safe as they have presence of workers / life guard at every pool. They are well trained and very friendly and professional. I booked online and used Applepay to pay for the room, which turned out to be a big mistake that cost me 40 minutes in line. Use a credit card to book your room, so you can use their quick check in line. Either way, make sure you take the exact card you use to book for checking in. Before you go, buy the discounted dining deal. You can only buy it in advance, and the food and drinks are pretty pricey, so you will spend $$$. I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. First time visitor. Great for smaller kids, not so great if you don't have any. This is a kids paradise. Kids are running around unsupervised, but that is expected. I didn't cross paths with any trouble makers. During our stay, a couple of areas are under construction. I believe they relocated part of their arcade to the lobby. I went inside the waterpark and rode one ride, just for the experience. My younger one did as well. The vibe of the hotel appears somewhat dirty to me, and that may be due to the lodge style theme. My family and I experienced Great Wolf Lodge the first time. We stayed for the night. Check in was at 4pm and that's the time we got there. I had some trouble with checking in, your ID and credit card you use to pay must matched so please keep that in mind. Thankfully the worker helped me and we were good to go because we drove 4 hours away! Our room was clean and there's a lot of renovations going on in this location. I recommend bringing the kids even if it's for the day, the park is open from 10am-8pm. So many amenities like golf, laser tag, bowling, arcade and of course the indoor waterpark for all ages. I'd say the food there is pretty expensive so I advise leaving to get food elsewhere you can bring it inside your rooms but not in the park! I'll be back again! read more

Stayed here as a property option offered through Time Share- Hilton Grand Vacation. There is self check-in for regular guests, I opted to go to the front desk since I had questions regarding our stay and parking. Alex and Jorge assisted me and provided great customer service by answering every question I had, even guided me through the prepaying my parking. We booked a Family Suite, it was spacious for my family of 3 although it could accommodate up to 6 people. Although there was a mini ref for our drinks and food, wish there was a microwave in our own room. There was a "community" microwave by the ice and vending machines, however, it needs to be cleaned for the next person and there were no paper towels for one to wipe splatters/spills. The sink and bath fixtures were loose, but was doable. I am glad that GWL allows guests to still enjoy the waterpark the day of checkout, even lets guest to stay parked in the garage up to 10pm, the day of checkout. It's also great that there an Anaheim Regional Transit (ART) Bus stop just outside the hotel, that would take us to the Disneyland Parks and Downtown Disney. The waterpark is great for kids, tweens, teens and young adults. Can get overly crowded. Lots of food options, entertainment is mostly for the kids. read more

For the water park, we had a blast. Plenty for my 4 and 5 year old kids to see and do. Was it tiring? Absolutely, especially for us parents chasing the kids down and making sure no one drowned. But otherwise, lots of slides and splash zones for the kids to explore. They were big fans of the wave pool. Even got to go down the big tube ride as a family, which was a lot of fun. They have different height restrictions, so would double check heights before you head over. Once there, they have height check stations and slap on different colored bands depending on height, so workers can quickly tell if you meet requirements for certain activities. Plenty of lifeguards, so overall, felt very safe. Even though most were kids themselves, they did a great job keeping close tabs on the pools and intervening when necessary. Water was heated/warm. There's a towel station right as you enter. You need to check in/out your towels. Finding an empty chair was sometimes challenging, even on a weekday. No outside food/drinks, but they were usually OK with us bringing in water bottles. As for lodging. That's a whole different experience, and more like 1-2 stars. We stayed in one of the non-renovated rooms with bunk beds for the kids. It definitely felt dated. One of the bunk beds still had hair on the pillows and sheets, so didn't look like it was changed. We also had an insect problem with small flying insects in the room. The fixtures were falling apart where you had to turn the bath handle a certain way to get it running. Housekeeping does not refresh sheets/towels during the stay, unless requested. We debated staying the second night...Will definitely not stay overnight again. read more

We've stayed in the wolf den and also the family suite and both rooms are nice! Rooms come with mini fridge. Beds were comfortable for us! Microwave is usually where the ice machine is. if you schedule permits it, try to go during weekdays when school is in session. parking is about $36 with tax and all done via QR code that you scan upon entering. You will use that same QR code when going in/out. There is also an outdoor water park but we always just stay inside. everything is accessed/charged with the bracelet you get at check-in. On check in day, you can access the water park as soon as it opens, as well as check out day, you can use it until closing. There's plenty of places to eat nearby if you dont feel like eating at the lodge. The first time we visited, we did dinner at the restaurant, got pizza for lunch and did the breakfast buffet. It was just ok..nothing that stood out and kind of pricey but wanted to experience it. The second time, we opted to go to other places. tons of other activities like bowling, mini golf and the arcade. This is to give the management an objective feedback. The place needs an upgrade from customer service to the cleanliness and laundry issues. The check-in was a long line. Fine, it's expected that's why we came in earlier than check-in time of 4pm. We've been coming to this place almost every year for the past 8 years. We always get lucky of having the rooms ready even before 4pm. This is the first time that we waited for more than 2 hours to get checked in. I received a text at 4:42pm that the room is ready. Yes we were there trying our luck at 2pm. The thing is, for this big indoor waterpark, they dont have hotel storage! Meaning, where we can stall our luggages while waiting for the room to be available so the kids can swim. We don't want to waste our time just sitting in the lobby! Even small hotels have hotel storage but this place! This kills the excitement of the kids. They keep on asking "Is the room ready yet?" Take note, I didn't get the package through Groupon, I got the package as regular price! The kids need adult supervision to be in the pool but with our luggage's it's hassle to take it inside the pool. Here's a new thing with them, "Go to the Hilton booth to get ur headband." Whaaaat?! What is the alterior motive in this. We used to get the head band either in the reception area or at the gift shop, this time in the Hilton booth?! Okay, we went ti the booth. Guess what?! They are offering (not a time share) but something like Hilton packages at discounted price + $200 credit to Wolf Lodge when you come back within 13 months. I already set my mind, I'm not coming back anymore, so she was not able to sell it to me. Finally at 4:42pm we got the text message that the room was ready. The room is clean. But the towels are ratty, super thin (meaning over used), the sides of the towels are ripping. Omg, i should have just brought our own towels. Here's the worst part, one of the towels has a faint red stain. As a nurse, there's a lot going on in my mind... is this a blood that they didn't get to washed well, gross! The carpet looks clean but old, I even asked the kids not to take their shoes off, i don't want to walk barefoot in the room. Now let's go to the waterpark. It's Spring Break, of course we are expecting to have the place packed.. but it's beyond crowded! The floors have multiple hairs and dirty. I didn't go in the water. I just let the kids enjoy. Come dinner time. Not a lot of choices cus the Lodge restaurant was closed, so they only have the Loose Moose. So we went to the pizza place. The pizza and pasta, not bad. Our room was very far from the elevator, and after a long day with kids, that walk felt extra long. Definitely ask for a room closer to the elevator if you can. -Cleanliness could improve, especially in the restrooms and common areas, which felt a bit neglected at times with the heavy foot traffic. -Parking is $35 a night Addendum (Helpful Tip) Although official check-in is at 3 PM, you can check in as early as 10 AM and still access the water park. This was a huge plus and allowed us to maximize our first day instead of waiting around. Overall If you have kids and are looking for a fun, easy weekend trip, this place is definitely worth checking out. We started off the day with a good time, our 5 year old loved wave pool and large playground like structure, as well as the lazy river. There is hot food conveniently located inside as well as lockers to store your items for the day, and restrooms conveniently located. However we had to leave after a couple hours because my wife slipped and fell in the ladies bathroom where there was a pool of standing water and slippery tiles. She ended up fracturing a her wrist and is currently in a cast. The staff was nice enough to help out as she passed out due to the pain and wheel chaired my wife to our car. Our son was so disappointed we had to leave early but it is what it was. Be aware when walking around in the lower bathroom, it can be very slippery. We hope to return again one day as our child really enjoyed it. It would have been nice if they had followed up being that it was $240 before taxes for day passes for 3 people and we were only able to spend 2 hours in the park before we had to leave. read more

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed how dirty the carpets were. There was also construction happening in the lobby, with areas covered in plastic, which made the first impression less than welcoming. After checking in, we went to the water park. The strong smell of chlorine was overwhelming, suggesting the ventilation may not be adequate. The water in the kids' basketball area appeared unclean, with visible debris. While sitting nearby, I was very concerned to see cockroaches on the wall behind me. At that point, we decided not to dine at any of the on-site restaurants. The bathrooms in the water park were also uncomfortable, with the air conditioning blasting while you're wet, which made it unpleasant to use. As for the room, it did not meet expectations. The bed was uncomfortable and made a loud squeaking noise with any movement. The mattress sagged in the middle, causing us to roll inward during the night. The kids' bunk bed was extremely dusty, and I had to clean it myself due to my child's dust allergies. Overall, this stay fell far short of what we expected. Just want to mention one positive thing. We didn't add any additional activities besides the breakfast buffet since we planned to only stay one night. The buffet had a good selection and food wasn't bad. Expect buffet quality food. But service was great. Check in was easy and the line moves fairly quick. We rented a cabana and spent the first day at the water park. Our 2 year old son was obsessed with the fun water slides. We had pizza for dinner- nothing amazing but affordable and filling. Parking was $35 for self park. $42 for valet. Overall, it's a true bang for your buck. You get the water park the day of check in and check out of your stay. One night is enough if you don't plan to add extra activities. We recently stayed here for two nights and overall had a great experience. The customer service was excellent from check-in to check-out. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Before booking, we were informed that a few areas of the resort would be under construction, so there were no surprises there. Parking was convenient , although it is approximately $35 per day, which is something to keep in mind when budgeting. The water park itself was a lot of fun and offers attractions for all age groups. One area that was a bit disappointing was the MagiQuest game because some of the interactive screens were not working and the game was not thoroughly explained by staff, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience, especially for first-time players. I also think the resort would benefit from offering room service. After spending a long day swimming and participating in activities, having food delivered to the room would be a nice convenience. They do have a Dunkin donut on-site, which was great for coffee and quick breakfast options, but it closes early. extremely disappointed with our recent stay at Great Wolf Lodge on June 9, 2026. My family has been visiting Great Wolf Lodge twice a year for the past five years, and until now, we have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, this visit was filled with mistakes, poor communication, and what I consider a very concerning lack of response to a child safety issue. The problems began during check-in. The employee assisting us informed me that he had accidentally clicked on another window and charged me two nightly deposits of $200 each when the deposit should have only been $100. He then explained that he had mistakenly checked us into a different reservation and would need to restart the entire check-in process. I have another reservation booked for July, and after this experience, I am seriously reconsidering whether I want to return. I expressed my concerns because restarting the process would require another deposit charge while I waited for the previous charges to be refunded back to my credit card. This made no sense to me, especially since the mistake was not mine. After speaking with a manager, I was told they would remove the additional $100 deposit requirement, but I would still need to make a $1 charge. At that point, I felt I should not have been required to authorize any additional charges since I had already been incorrectly charged twice due to their error. After check-in was finally completed, the employee asked if I wanted my wristband linked to my credit card for purchases throughout the resort. I said yes. He confirmed my card information, and we proceeded to our room. Later, while at the water park, I attempted to use my wristband to purchase a drink and discovered that it had never been linked to my credit card. I had specifically asked him twice to make sure it was connected. Because it was not, I had to leave the pool area and return to my room on the 7th floor to retrieve my wallet. This was frustrating and completely avoidable. However, the most concerning part of our stay happened later that evening. As we were leaving the pool area around 8:20 PM, I noticed a young girl, approximately 7 years old, who appeared lost and was visibly panicking. I approached her and asked if she was okay. She told me she was trying to get back to her room on the 8th floor but did not know her room number and was unable to locate her parents. Wanting to ensure her safety, I sent my husband to find a Great Wolf Lodge employee. He located the closest staff member near the store by the pool entrance and explained the situation. The employee told him that someone would meet us at the elevator. My husband returned, but no employee accompanied him. No one asked for a description of the child, where she had been found, or any other information that would seem important when assisting a lost child. We waited approximately 15 minutes and still no employee, security officer, or manager arrived. Eventually, a boy who appeared to be around 12 years old approached the girl. She said she knew him and walked away with him. Concerned for her safety, I followed behind to make sure she was actually reunited with a responsible adult. Thankfully, she was eventually reunited with her father, who was actively searching for her. What is most alarming is that during the entire time this child was lost and alone, not a single employee or security team member arrived to assist. Approximately 30 minutes passed from the time we reported the situation. No one followed up with us, no one came to investigate, and no one appeared to take the report seriously. As I am writing this review at approximately 9:46 PM, we still have not heard from security or any member of management regarding the incident. This is deeply concerning. If someone with bad intentions had encountered that little girl before we did, the outcome could have been very different. Based on what I witnessed, the hotel would have had no idea a child was missing and showed no sense of urgency after being notified. For a family-focused resort that markets itself as a safe destination for children, this lack of response is unacceptable. While mistakes at check-in can happen, the failure to properly address a child safety concern is far more serious. After five years of loyal visits and many positive memories, I never expected to leave feeling this disappointed. Great Wolf Lodge Review - (Thursday-Saturday) We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge from Thursday to Saturday. I was a little hesitant at first after reading mixed reviews, but honestly--you get out of a kid-friendly resort what you put into it. And we ended up having such a great time! Overall Vibe Yes, it's definitely casino vibes for kids, but I was shocked at how clean the entire place was. Truly impressed. Check-In Check-in was smooth and organized. You can self-check in at a kiosk or talk to someone at the front desk. I chose the front desk and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We arrived early, so our room wasn't ready yet, but they gave us our wristbands (room keys AND credit card access--genius!). You can choose which wristbands have room or card access, which worked perfectly since our kids are all under 6. When the room was ready, we got a text and skipped going back to the lobby. Amazing! Room We stayed in a two-bedroom suite--two beds in one room, one bed in another, plus a pull-out couch and two bathrooms. Tons of space, plenty of towels, a mini fridge, and a big vanity area. Beds could have been more comfortable and the hot water took a little trial and error (either super hot or lukewarm), but nothing that ruined the stay. Elevators definitely get busy after the water park closes. Dining The buffet was a blast--fun, super kid-friendly, and the service was excellent. Our daughter spilled her milk the second it was delivered, and the waitress immediately jumped in to clean it and told us not to worry. So appreciated! Food quality was really good with lots of options. We also tried the water park restaurant--your typical burgers/pretzels/snacks--and grabbed treats at the sweets shop. The cookies were delicious, and the refillable popcorn bucket is worth it (free refills all stay!). Prices were what you'd expect for a resort but not outrageous. Water Park So much fun. Everything is close together, which makes it easy to keep track of your group. There's a gated toddler area (the gate wasn't always latched), lots of slides for all ages, and everything was clean with plenty of bathrooms and lockers. Tons of seating and a good number of lifeguards. They asked kids about their swimming skills but didn't really check, so make sure your kids are safe and wearing life vests if needed. Life vests were readily available. Wave pool, lazy river, huge play structure--so much to do. Some areas have padded flooring which was a nice surprise. Saturday was the busiest, so we'll definitely stick to mid-week stays. Entertainment This is where the resort shines. Story time, arts and crafts, dance parties--everything catered to kids, and the employees were wonderful. The arcade was clean, gave real tickets (a huge hit with my kids!), and you actually earn a decent amount. There's also mini golf, a rope course, bowling, and Build-A-Bear. We had an amazing stay! When you arrive pay for parking online and you get unlimited in and outs. Check in is done at a kiosk. They print your wrist bands and you're all set. The wrist band is your room key and payment while you're at the lodge. The rooms are spacious and clean. What I loved was the fact that the rooms were well insulated. Because my son is noisy and other kids are too it was nice that we didn't hear anything in our room. You literally don't need to leave the hotel. You can bring your own food if you want but they have plenty. There's plenty of seats at the water park so you don't have to stand if you don't want to get in. The little kids part was the best. The worst customer service EVER. I tried to ask for a bag at the front desk because I was going to throw up from suddenly getting the stomach flu..and you know what the guy tells me? He says "sorry we don't have that" Doesn't even bother to find me some kind of plastic bag or cup to throw up in. Doesn't direct me to the nearest restroom or gift shop--NOTHING. I nearly collapsed. I've been sick as a dog here and they didn't bother to refund the trip, even partially. The customer service here is extremely cold. They don't care at all about the condition you are in and don't offer any suggestions to keep you comfortable if you're sick. Also our room wasn't even ready after 4pm. Worst check in experience ever. Loud noise all through the night of kids screaming and running around. There was also a gas leak event that happened in Garden Grove that they didn't even alert us all about. Absolute negligence for the customer. They have done some remodeling, the carpets in the hotel room hallways have been replaced and the carpet has been removed from the rooms. I'm glad, because I can only imagine the nastiness that was in that carpet from all the moisture. They have also redone and moved the mini golf outside and also have a climbing area. These activities are extra but reasonably priced. We have stayed here a few times and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We eat at the breakfast buffet so that we can pack and be ready to spend a few hours at the water park before leaving for the day. Besides the waterpark, there is story time, yoga, and arts and crafts scheduled throughout the day. My family was just there staying for two nights for my sister's birthday, something they've done for a few years now. Unfortunately their trip was cut short due to parents failing to supervise their children. A big kid ran into my mom throwing her flat on her back. No one around helped not one adult. My mom was not able to stand due to the pain. A manger finally came out after what felt like a while to pretty much say sucks to be you. And offered a discount for our next stay. Our stay was extremely disappointing and honestly one of the worst family hotel experiences I have had. The room conditions were unacceptable from the beginning. The sink was broken and maintenance had to come in, the door would not properly close unless it was slammed, and the bedding was dirty and stained. Blood on pillows & some dryer stain like SHIT ! There were also missing blankets, which made the room feel even more neglected and unsanitary. What made this worse is that I was traveling with my children. My child ended up getting scratched and cut near the eye on the green kids' slide, and staff had to assist. After the stay, my son also became very sick we ended up at the hospital for stomach virus and needed two medications. As a parent, that was extremely upsetting and made this experience go far beyond just inconvenience. I also paid for valet, and the service was not properly usable, which added even more frustration to an already bad stay. 31 min for valet to bring my car. I could've walked to my car that was parked in handicap and should've been free. Overall, this experience raised serious concerns about cleanliness, safety, and the way guest complaints are handled. My family should never have had to deal with dirty room conditions, maintenance problems, safety issues, and a sick child after our stay. Our experience trying to plan my son's birthday event at Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove was beyond frustrating and honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. The issue is not necessarily that every employee was rude -- the real problem is the completely broken system and lack of communication between departments. We booked THREE rooms for 18 guests for a birthday celebration and simply wanted to reserve and pay for a place where everyone could eat lunch together and celebrate with cake. Something that should have been straightforward became an exhausting process filled with confusion, conflicting information, and endless transfers between departments. The front desk had no idea about the policies of the events department. The front desk also had no clear understanding of pool policies. Every single question required someone to "leave a note" for another department and wait for an email response that never came. No callbacks. No follow-up. No accountability. The most frustrating part was trying to contact the front desk directly. First, you are forced through an AI system. Then you finally reach someone in the "reservation department," who is not even onsite. Despite politely asking multiple times to be transferred directly to the front desk, they refused and insisted they could help. They could not. Instead, they placed me on hold supposedly to ask the front desk themselves -- and after 11 minutes on hold, they never came back. At that point, yes, the reservation department representatives themselves became part of the problem: rude, dismissive, unprofessional, poorly trained, and completely incapable of resolving even simple questions. This company has far too many unnecessary departments that clearly do not communicate or work together. Planning an important family event here became stressful instead of enjoyable. I will never host another birthday event at Great Wolf Lodge again, and I would strongly caution families against wasting their time and money here for important celebrations. read more

I am so sorry to write this review. our experience in Scottsdale was much better. First I love the plank floors in the suites in Anaheim. Upon on our arrival, Anaheim had several stained towels with either blood or red makeup, and I was asked did I have pictures or evidence. We were promised a $50 off cabana and they booked it to someone else. We tried to order food in our room using the QR code which did not work, they said go downstairs to order. The temperature switch was caked up with so much dirt I had to clean them first to adjust the temp. No one wants touch anything dirty and I did clean them. Lastly. We wake to no water. I had high hopes for our stay at Great Wolf Lodge, but unfortunately it was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had. While the water park and activities are fun for kids, the hotel itself was disappointing. Many areas felt dirty, and there was a strong unpleasant odor throughout the property that made it difficult to enjoy our stay. What made the experience even worse was the way our concerns were handled. The manager, Javier, came across as arrogant, dismissive, and unhelpful. Rather than listening and trying to resolve the situation, he lacked professionalism, empathy, and knowledge of how to appropriately handle a guest complaint. A difficult situation became even more frustrating because of the way it was managed. For the amount families spend to stay here, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and customer service. The concept of Great Wolf Lodge is fantastic, but the execution and management left a lot to be desired. This is a nice place to visit with children. There is so many things to do aside from enjoying an indoor water park. There are activities for children, onsite restaurants, an arcade, a dessert shop, and more! I recommend coming here for birthday celebrations. We recently spent three days 2 Nights with Great Wolf Lodge, we included with our stay the wolf den Suite, we also added pup passes for each of our Littles as recommended because of their ages at time of visit We also added the breakfast package for both mornings, which was very convenient if you have picky eaters, or want some extra options! Again, all of these upgrades and additions were recommended by our sweet check-in assistant ( sophie ?) and we are very grateful that she did recommend these things as it makes your stay that much more convenient! we were able to try hungry as a wolf pizza $55 family pizza package and it was more than enough for our family of five, id recommend! id say prices are exactly what you would expect today lol, the arcade is fun the staff is very friendly, all staff is helpful with any questions you may have. activities are fun & the dance party is cute! our littles had a blast & we are looking forward to our next stay with GWL! read more
