it wasn't too Sunny today so went to try THE WAVE WATER PARK in VISTA. I have heard about this place before but didn't get the chance to visit. But today, we tried it, the place is Calm. It wasn't that Packed or Crazy. There are only a few things to do here but I rather choose this place than a more selection of water activities to do and so famous around for people to crowd it, at least this one even it's very Simple we get to enjoy the water and not consume most of our time in a long line. For the Military and the Family and guest of the military retired or active is $13.95 per person and for none Military is $23.95 This place is not bad at all. But will see , this is our First time here , so we'll be back to see how this place in another day . But so far today our Visit went very okay .

Great place for families. Super safe due to the abundance of lifeguards per square foot of the area. It's a city park so very affordable

Ask the Community - The Wave Waterpark

Is outsids food ok to bring, like sandwiches and soda?

    Prices

    Are the water slides open?

We were there a couple of weeks ago & no they were not open

    Is the water heated?

The pool is heated but the lazy river is a little cold.

Are you open tomorrow? Is the water all warm or is it to cold tomorrow?

The water is warm the lazy river is a tiny bit cold but still can swim in it with cold weather

Do they alcoholic drinks available for purchase? If yes, are they any good/ what is there available?

It's just a snack bar with sodas, no alcohol that I recall. Sounds like a liability to have alcohol at a place like that!! Wait for after to get your drink on :)

Hey All! Can I bring my own beach chairs so we're not chasing down lounge chairs all day? I'm super pregnant and can't afford to be without a spot to park my butt. Thanks a ton for any help!

Not sure on their policy but have never seen an outside chair brought in. You can rent a cabana to guarantee a spot but they are either $55 for the small or $75 for the large. If you're there earlier in the day you should be able to snag a chair… Read more

We have been coming to this water park the whole summer and it has been an amazing experience. If you come early, there are plenty of umbrellas and chairs to choose from. The water is usually warm and we usually battle with our kids cause they never want to go home. Our favorite part is the wave pool where you get to enjoy and relax on a wavy pool while laughing at your kids getting slapped by the wave near the shore. They're the ones who like being tossed around by the wave. We also like the water pad where the water squirts or creates multiple water arcs, and kids just run around and get wet. This is the place where parents can just sit or lay under umbrellas while watching their kids. We rented a cabana once when we had family guests from Texas. There was a breastfeeding baby so we thought, a cabana would be great, and it was. the server took us to our cabana and explained everything. You really do not need to go anywhere to get food. You just text your server what you want and the server will get the food for you. We also got two free Legoland towels and a huge Legoland bag. We'll be going back as soon as it opens again for the next summer. Totally worth it.

The food is pretty good inside at the Beach Front Grill. Their options are a California burrito, turkey wrap (my personal fav) and a veggie wrap along with some kids items (pizza, quesadilla, etc.) There's also personal cabanas you can rent for $200 where you get a fridge and personalized service. Make sure you rent ahead of time, however. There are lots of chairs and lounge chairs with huge umbrellas over to protect you from the sun, but I expect this place to be packed during the summer so you may want to bring your personal handheld sun umbrella. Lockers are available and free life vests. Again, likely to go quickly during the summer. Highly recommend coming during off season, but make sure to check Legolands website as it isn't open all the time.

The park is very well thought out, and there are numerous rides and attractions that children can enjoy. there are also areas where children can play with Lego. One of the things that I really liked was how most lines were relatively short, and some even had play areas within the line for children to hang out in a while. Their parents waited in line. This park is very open and spacious. It has a very relaxing environment that makes you feel at peace. There aren't very many thrilling rides. But that's not what this part is about. I would definitely recommend this for families with smaller children.

Now that our grandchildren are here, I have the privilege to be able to take them when they are available. I love that the park is so close to where my grandchildren live. I am able to take them sometimes after school for even just a couple of hours since we have an annual pass we can go anytime. I love that. The park is not too big that I can take them around the park easily. I haven't taken the kids to the waterpark located in LEGOLAND. I will leave that up to their mom to take them. Customer service varies. During today's visit I had a couple of employees that just aren't personable. There's a lot more pros than cons so I will give them that. Like anything else anywhere else the food and snack prices are very high. The good thing is they allow you to bring outdoor food and drink. I would return specially for some apple fries. If you haven't tried them yet. Make sure you do. I will continue to return to LEGOLAND as long as my grand kiddos, still wish to visit LEGOLAND. I noticed a few new rides and a little mini CVS kiosk.

Golf course maintenance crews are up and at it, around 6:30 in the morning(!!). Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep and, when asked to change rooms, they were booked and had nothing available for us. As for dining... "room service" is a joke where you order online, get charged $40 for them to bring it to your room and, it's cold by the time it gets there. We had Easter brunch at Vue which was just ok. I got the eggs Benedict which, when cut open, revealed clear runoff of barely cooked egg - instantly made my hunger disappear. My husband's breakfast, the chorizo scramble, and son's breakfast, pancakes, were totally fine and edible. For the amount of money it is to stay here, I think it's 1000% overrated and we'll skip it next time we're in SD, for sure. There's really no need to come here.

I literally saw the diorama 10 years ago and it's just as nasty. there's literally cobwebs in between each structure and dust collecting on every surface. The structure with water features were covered in layers of debris that I know have been there for at least a couple weeks. I know it's probably costly and time consuming to clean lego structures but is this not lego land. i'm paying 100 dollars per person to see the MGM grand covered in leaf litter. it's just unfortunate. wipe it down, spray it i don't care just do SOMETHING. actually i do care.

Though the price is high, they provide a lot of great entertainment and things for the children to do right within the hotel. Also, the theming for the hotel is so cool for kids. Parking was valet only which was quick and seamless (and free!). The staff at the entry of the hotel was super helpful in providing directions to get down to the pool as one of my girlfriend's said it was a little confusing to find, but I was given a clear guide on how to get down there and got there without issue. We had our own server at the cabana who provided us with our free fruit plate and bottle of bubbly to share, and took food and drink orders. She and her coworkers checked on us pretty frequently and kept us well-stocked. The day was a little overcast and cloudy but the pool was a lovely cool temp, and the jacuzzi was in the same general area so when we got a little chilly we hopped on over. After spending some time in the adult-only pool area, we headed up to the family friendly deck and took a couple of runs down the slides, which was super fun. Around the time we were meant to clear out, our server was super sweet and let us know they would just start to pick up around us but we were welcome to stay longer if we wanted to, since there was no one coming in behind us. We continued relaxing until we were all ready to go but first we got to chatting with another staff member, Bryan, who was super rad and shared all his favorite nearby spots to eat. The staff is really so wonderful here! Very friendly and professional. Overall my first visit to the Park Hyatt Aviara was very enjoyable, and I would absolutely visit again (preferably on a hot, sunny day). Highly recommend for any and all poolside celebrations!
