So glad to have finally tried out Wild Rivers which is a waterpark nestled in Irvine's Great Park area. Parking is $25 and you can pay there or online beforehand. I also got a Groupon deal for $45 a ticket, which is a few dollars cheaper than what they offered on the official website. I recommend periodically checking Groupon for deals. When you enter, they have lockers on your left, and plenty of restrooms, showers, and changing rooms. For food, they have a main grill serving hot foods such as pizzas, mini corn dogs, and chicken tenders with fries. There are plenty of stalls serving pastries, ice cream, drinks, and even alcohol. As for attractions, they have plenty of solo body slides, duo slides, and group slides. The best one hands down is the Bora Bora Boomerango. There is also a lazy river and a wave pool, as well as kiddie areas with shallow water and fountains. The overall park is super clean and staff operating slides and serving food are super friendly.

Do yourself a favor and filter the reviews to the lowest ratings and you'll see those experiences are all more recent visits. We reserved a cabana here for my daughter's birthday. It ended in my 7 year old daughter FULL OF TEARS and hyperventilating because management here is AWFUL. We started packing up around 440pm as the waitress brought us our tab to close out. We aren't slobs, so we made sure to clean up after ourselves and pack. At this moment, they posted a SECURITY guard to stand guard at our cabana as if we were convicts. As we were packing to leave, an older white woman (Susan Kruizinga- Management) walked over and rudely clapped her hands in our face saying we had to 'hurry up and leave because they have a private event.' To come at people sideways like this AS THEY ARE ALLLLREADY DOING THE VERY THING YOURE ASKING is rude, IGNORANT, and condescending. I've included her photo. My husband told her that she could clearly see us packing the last of our things so there was no need to approach us like that. Of course she giggled, left, and came back with police officers because how dare we tell her she was being rude. See from the photos, as all the adults are talking with concern, she's there smirking. Says a lot about a person. The gentleman in blue standing next to the cabana said he was the GM and apologized (pretty sure Susan is his superior but I'm sure he took fault to protect her) Yet, apparently is doubling down on their rude and unnecessary behavior in their response to our review. As we walked out, I filmed how other cabanas were still there lounging (with children) and yet weren't forced out like us. If after this review, you still have an interest in going here know that it's mostly worked by kids as stated in previous reviews and management by older adults seems to be even more childish. She was the worst of them and she's upper management. To the management team, no need to respond to this with your corporate response deflecting and defending your ignorant, discriminatory behavior. How any of you got jobs in customer service, much less management, is beyond me. No need to feel like a keyboard warrior by responding knowing a response can't be made back. Unprofessional, dysfunctional, discriminate, rude, and ignorant.

Most modern and thrilling water park I've ever been too. There is something for all ages.

Honestly I never been to a theme park like this. I came to celebrate my friends bday for the night wave event and it was not good an experience. The food and drinks were pricey and drinks watered down. It reminded me of all inclusive at the hotels. The park is not big at all! They have some slides and pools but nothing to go crazy for. I also did not like how it was over at 9 PM and they stop letting people get a water slides around 8:15. I don't think it was fair especially when you have paid. Didn't think it was that much fun, and could have lasted longer until a later time. Also, the weight for the bar was absolutely long and we stood in line for over an hour that takes up most of your time to enjoy yourself. The plus is that it's located in a very nice area and it is a clean park, but otherwise I don't think I will come back here again . Free parking and lots of it!

The Dream Glow Festival is a Fun group activity for the holidays! The displays were beautiful and magical. The infinity room was fun but 5 mins inside was not worth the extra $5 to my friend.

I am a little biased because I love water parks lol. Growing up going to raging waters, this was definitely an upgrade. It is smaller than the rager waters I went to, but there is still a lot of rides imo. There's probably 4 group rides, 2-3 single, 2 double, the lazy river and wave pool. At first the lazy river seemed small because of how narrow it was, but it's definitely long going around. The park was relatively clean and modern. Obviously it'll be busy during the peak summer, but it was still fun. We also got chicken tenders and a cookie for $20. The food was surprisingly decent/good! The chicken tenders came in 4 pcs and some fries. Definitely recommend!! It is $25 for parking. And then $18 for a medium locker

First time visit with the family.... And we weren't sure if it would be busy and decided to get a cabana. Just in case we wouldn't be worried of not finding a spot to sit. Luckily it's wasn't busy at all but no regrets lol. Everyone here was very friendly (staff) our server Rachel was fantastic, constantly checking up on us... very helpful and friendly. We had ice and waters waiting as we arrived. My son had a blast ( the main thing for us) can't wait to come back

Ask the Community - Wild Rivers

    Are Thong Bikinis allowed?

Maybe they aren't enforcing this rule because I have seasons passes and there are plenty of thongs and bikinis being worn!

Are water bottles in a cooler allowed?

No, nothing with liquid or food sealed is allowed. You can bring in an empty reusable water container to fill up at multiple water stations for free.

Is there a military discount on tickets?

Military personnel with a valid ID may purchase up to four tickets at the park for our junior price of $54.99. Please present your ID at time of purchase to receive your discount.

How much is a one day ticket?

$79.99 at the door. I recommend buying ahead using their website. I used Groupon to purchase a pack of 4 tickets, those came out to $34 per ticket.

Is there any ride is friendly to kids under 3 years old?

There are two "small kids" sections which have splashing water and slides. One is more for 3 year olds. Kids HAVE TO go by themselves on the slides. My toddler would've done… Read more

Can you bring outside or food from home? Asking for a friend...

    No outside food

Is it okay if we wear Crocs or flip-flops while playing? And can we bring the water bottles?

Crocs or flip flops are a must! The ground gets really hot. Water shoes are even better, as you are allowed to keep them on for most rides.… Read more

What time does the park open o?

10-7 through July and half of August. Right now Fri-Sunday 10-8pm

What's included with the cabana rental? Besides the 4 4 chairs and locker is there delivery service or anything like that

They have an employee who will take your orders but all you get is a cabana for the day and a dedicated employee to get you food and drinks which is separate from the rental.

Is getting a cabana worth it?

If you like to have your privacy with your friends and family it is worth it. Knowing you have your own spot and service is great.

Can u bring your own chairs or umbrellas?

No they do not allow that

Can I use touchless pay like google pay, venmo, or apple pay for lockers, tickets, and food?

    Yes

Is there shade to sit under if you don't have cabana?

Yes you have to get chairs next to an umbrella

Are toddlers ok to wear crocs / water shoes in the pools?

Yes, lots of people were wearing water shoes

Are there lounge chairs or places to sit and watch your kids play?

There's lots of free lounge chairs near the wave pool and kids play area. They have cabanas too; but you have to pay for those.

Do they have life jackets for adults just in case they can't swim that well?

They have adult life jackets at the wave pool and lazy river. I didn't see anyone wear it on the slides, so I don't think their permitted on the slides. Most slides have a depth of 3'6" when you fall down or less. There's 2 slides that you fall… Read more

When I arrived, the employee asked, "Do they want the water park too?" I replied, "That's why we're here." She then told me it was an additional $10 per person. What wasn't made clear is that the $10 only covers one hour. After getting inside, I learned you have to keep paying for every additional hour. For comparison: Castaic Splash Park 2 kids = $70 total Parent = free Adventure Lagoon (calculation based on 3 hours - though I chose this place to come for 4 hours since it was advertised as same price for all day) 2 kids admission = $70 Water park fees = $60 Parent admission = $35 Total = $165 So instead of spending the day at a beautiful lake surrounded by nature, we paid more than double to be at a small water park surrounded by warehouses. The website prominently advertises the day rate and has a big "BOOK NOW" button, but the hourly water park fees are not made clear upfront; you have to literally scroll below the pricing and "Book Now" to see them. See here - https://www.theadventurelagoon.com/pricing I don't mind paying. I do mind feeling misled. Unfortunately, they lost us as customers for life.

You go here and expect madness. Kids everywhere, crowds, etc. You want tranquil all to yourself feel and vibes, go vacation to a remote island somewhere. This is for the kids. Plenty of things to do. The water slides are enough to keep kids having fun for a while. For added fees there are other optional activities but seems more geared toward younger kids. so why 4 out of 5 stars? Because I've been to the one in northern california (manteca). This property seems older. More crowded, and just doesnt have the same lodge vibes. There simply isnt the same WOW factor as the Manteca location. There is no parking garage in Manteca but instead a vast land of parking spaces. So the Lodge just commands attention and shows you are about to enter something grand. Here they use a parking structure and although efficient it just doesnt give of same vibes. The "Grand Lobby" here is also just meh. The area and space seems so fragmented and doesnt have a good flow. The manteca location is structured so well. You walk in from the main entrance and you are really in a Grand Lobby with the towering fireplace. Here its off to the side and now filled with arcade games. That fireplace is usually the photo spot for families in Manteca. Here you really dont have that. People have said the waterpark itself is better here. If it is, I didn't notice it too much. It isn't that much better to really matter. The wave pool here definitely is stronger which is very cool. But the lazy river, and everything else seems on par. I believe they have an extra attraction with the surf/wake board simulator. So IMO, the Manteca location is better overall. But this is a much better location being in SoCal with lots of other things to do here. While Manteca is basically nothing but Great Wolf Lodge.

Details below. -parking was easy. -room check in at the kiosk was easy. -the kiosk printed our wristbands out. -I got a text with our room number about 30 min later (I would have preferred no wait, but it was the busy check in time). -we went to dinner at BJs down the road, no wait, very good 2 family dinner. Great M-F deals. -my kids did the high ropes course and liked it. We hit the arcade for about 15 minutes, they didn't really like it (but it's under construction, they were moving machines up into the lobby). -I brought chocolate croissants and muffins, we ate bfast in the room. The rooms have large mini fridges, there's a small microwave where the ice machines are on each floor, there's a good enough weird coffee machine in each room. -we loaded our regular bags into the car, checked out of our of the room at 9:40, got into the line for the pool. -got plenty of chairs together for the adults. -my advice: you do not needs chairs for each kid, especially older kids. They stop by, sit, and bounce. Most people eat at the tables, there are signs that people can only sit at tables for 30 min, we never had a problem eating at tables (it's so much easier). Don't waste a bunch of chairs on kids who never use them.... -the bar drinks at the pool were very very good. the Bloody Mary was the best one I've ever had. Yep. We had a mango pineapple rum drink that was so good, not too sweet at all. -every staff member we encountered was on point, very helpful and kind. -I charged everything using my wristband, very easy. CONS: -I've been several times. In my option, the pizza place is the only food worth getting when you are at the pool. The Bucket food place in the pool area is just not good, it's very cafeteria and expensive. -I saw about 15 people slip and fall, mostly near the life jacket stand outside the wave pool. Like full on hard falls. An employee has a floor squeegee, but it's pretty useless. Even people walking slipped. -the headboards in the renovated rooms are pretty bad and dangerous. They have posts spaced out like 5 inches that have right-edge corners, so, sharp. And the pillows are not enough and not fluffy. When you lean back, your head slams into those pillar posts. My daughter's head went right between two posts so she hit both sides of her head on the posts. I hit my head too. Who the hell thought that was a great design? After that issue, I noticed all the hard corners on everything in the room. My kids are older now, but parents or younger kids, take note.

What exactly am I paying for?…read more Seriously. I purchased a membership for lap swimming, but the reality is that members are constantly competing for access to THREE lanes. Not an entire pool. Three lanes. And apparently the expectation is that up to FOUR adults can share a single lane. Four. There was a day when a third person joined my lane and that was RIDICULOUS. Four people sharing one lap lane is not a quality swimming experience. It's overcrowding disguised as a membership benefit. Then there are the limited hours. Which I was initially fine with until everything else. There are the swim lessons and you will be removed from a lane if the instructor needs the lane you are already in. Then there is the jacuzzi, which seems to spend more time closed than open. I swim three times a week and I honestly can't remember the last time it was available. At this point, why advertise it as an amenity at all? And today I find... the facility is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a swim meet. The only notice given was a piece of paper taped to the door. A piece of paper. In 2026. Members provide phone numbers and email addresses when signing up. Why collect that information if you're not going to communicate closures that eliminate nearly half a week's worth of access? No email. No text. No notification. Just drive over and find out when you get there. The most frustrating part is that none of these issues exist by themselves. It's the combination of all of them. Limited hours. Limited lanes. Overcrowded lanes. Frequent jacuzzi closures. Priority given elsewhere. Unexpected facility closures. Poor communication. Yet the membership price suggests you're paying for a premium aquatic facility. You're not. For less money, I can join a gym with a lap pool, a functioning jacuzzi, longer operating hours, fitness equipment, and significantly better availability. City of La Mirada wants to charge premium membership fees while delivering a consistently limited experience. The entire operation feels incredibly cheap. Cheap communication. Cheap availability. Cheap member accommodations. But somehow not cheap membership prices. If members are expected to share three overcrowded lanes, lose access for entire weekends, receive no meaningful communication, and watch amenities remain closed for weeks at a time, then management needs to answer a very simple question: What exactly are we paying for?

It's convenient that the playground is right next to the splash pad. The kids had a great time and my son has asked to come back already. We didn't have issues with parking mid week but I can imagine it may be tight on the weekend.

The summers are filled with summer concerts that allow families to come together and the community to enjoy music, foods from foos trucks. Fall welcomes the halloween haunts where kids make memories that last a life time. I really love hidden spots in the botanical gardens for flower lovers like me can go and just enjoy mother nature. The added butterfly garden and its butterfly chairs make it more special. The soccer fields are filled with kids and adults playing sports. The community center adds that final touch with rooms that can be rented for special events, meetings, and downstairs is access to the heated pool. 5/5 I have attended a few private events at the community center and its a great addition to the area.

From the…read moremoment you walk into the stunning lobby, you're surrounded by beautiful Craftsman-style architecture, soaring ceilings, warm wood details, and an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The rooms are immaculate, and the entire property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and every part of the hotel feels thoughtfully designed. One of my favorite things to do is simply relax in the lobby by the fireplace and listen to the piano player. The ambiance is incredible and makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment. The pools are beautiful, clean, and comfortably warm year-round. The waterslide is a lot of fun, and the pool area is a great place to relax after a long day in the parks. Craftsman Grill is another highlight. The food and drinks are consistently delicious, and I love trying the seasonal specialties whenever we visit. And if you only take one food recommendation from this review, make it the arugula pizza. It is SOOOOOOOOO good and something I look forward to every trip. Of course, one of the biggest perks is the location. Having a private entrance directly into California Adventure is incredibly convenient, and you're just a short walk from Disneyland as well. Being able to return to the hotel in the middle of the day to rest, enjoy the pool, grab a meal, or simply recharge before heading back into the parks is absolutely unbeatable. The Grand Californian perfectly captures the magic of staying in the Disney bubble. Once you're there, you never really have to leave the Disney experience, and that convenience adds so much to a vacation. Between the beautiful atmosphere, exceptional staff, immaculate rooms, fantastic dining, gorgeous pools, and unbeatable proximity to both parks, the Grand Californian remains one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. All that said...it is VERY expensive Sso its definitely a once in a while splurge.

The theming was incredible, I loved the outdoorsy atmosphere and Chip and Dale cameos throughout (we need more Chip and Dale/Grand Californian merch!). I didn't use any of the spa facilities but we did get room service on our last morning before checkout, it was delicious! My favorite part of the room was the incredible little balcony. My only criticism was that I would have preferred the sink being in the restroom with the toilet and shower rather than outside the sliding door.
