My recent experiences with DRW Services Group has been nothing but stressful. The only reason I have to deal with this management is because my former Management Group relocated to another state, otherwise I would never have to deal with this type of nonsense. I've been residing in this unit stress and drama-free for about 8 years, without complaint from my owner or neighbors. My owners are awesome by the way, but unfortunately the management company they've chosen to go with in my opinion was the wrong choice. Most recently I had a urgent repair issue due to a LEAK/FLOOD in the unit above me. I contacted DRW as soon as I noticed something was wrong with the ceiling. Not only was it difficult to get a response from someone but when I finally did they sent a plumber and restoration crew. It still took over a week for someone to get in touch with me about the 6in bubble about the size of a toddler matress and full of human waste on my bathroom ceiling directly above my commode. It took for me to go down to the San Diego Housing Commission in order for them to expedite repairs. Once initiated, the repairs went smoothly until I got a call nearly 3 weeks later from their maintenance guy Dave. He calls me at work and ask if anyone is home because he needs to get inside to check these repairs out. At that point I had a hole the size of a complete toddler bed in my bathroom ceiling, and one about half that size in my bedroom where by the way the water that couldn't drain from the bubble in the bathroom was actually LEAKING onto my carpet AND my bed, so I was unsure as to what exactly he was interested in looking at. I did however inform him that I was not home but that I could arrange for someone to be that following day for him to take a look at the progress of these repairs. At that moment he got quite uptight and obviously upset that I was not home and proceeded to tell me that by law he could enter my home whenever he felt like it because it says so in the lease I had signed with DRW. I very kindly and professionally informed him that he was incorrect and that if he needed access to my home he could provide me with a 24-hour notice request to do so. This guy Dave then says after a 10 Second pause I'll call you back and hangs up in my face! That wasn't the worst part.. Dave pops up at my home during a visit by the HOA, the plumbers, and the upstairs management team a few days later without ANY kind of previous notice. Not only was he rude but he was also extremely unprofessional in EVERY WAY. Whenever I had questions for the plumber, Dave would rudely interject and say that I should be asking HIM those questions! Then whenever I would direct questions regarding the repairs to Dave he would either talk around them or act as if he didn't hear me?! So when I asked how much longer it would take for the repairs to take place since I had two gaping holes in my home in the common living areas (and I have two smaller children) he became very VERY rude and irrate and even SHOVED his business card and my face.. LITERALLY. The upstairs units management team (who was also there) even asked him to calm down and relax because everything was already being handled. The entire time he was there he huffed, puffed, loudly sighed, rolled his eyes, crossed his arms, blamed my family for the damage, and maintained an overall NEGATIVE demeanor. Even after my home cleared out from the visitors there in regards to the repairs, this guy Dave still stayed to trash talk about how if I had any questions about my plumbing or repairs, I should be addressing them to him.. AND how he knew NOTHING about my repairs taking place until recently?? I once again attempted to kindly and politely inform this individual that the damages were something out of my control and that his company was notified before things had gotten worse. He then continue to blame his lack of communication with his OWN company on me! He then took a phone call 2 feet from me in which he CLEARLY refered to me as an 'alligator' to the person on the other end. It was when he raised his voice (after his phone call) while talking to me and hit the side of the threshold of my bathroom door, IMMEDIATELY after the moment I asked him to demonstrate professionalism and watch the way he talked around tenants. This guy had no respect for me, my home, my visitors, and most importantly my children who are resting in the living room watching TV who heard EVERYTHING. The situation had gotten so ugly, and this guy was so utterly disrespectful that my 15 year old son asked if everything was okay and suggested that this guy leave our apartment. During all of this, my fiance who is a calm minded and respectful individual, had to TWICE ask this person to show respect, and watch the tone of voice he was using around our children. I eventually recorded some of the situation and asked him to LEAVE MY HOME. I alsobrought it to his boss' attention without resolve. This company is far from PROFESSIONAL. read more
