I have been using Dry Clean NOVA for over a year now and have been very satisfied with the quality of their services considering the low prices they charge. You can't expect the quality to be the same as it would be from a place that charges 3 times as much. But I do think Dry Clean NOVA offers excellent value for the money. They are also reasonably convenient for me to get to on the days I work nearby in Fairfax. And I like the longer hours they offer even though I don't usually get to take advantage them. In addition, Dry Clean NOVA offers alteration services that I have used a number of times. The quality and prices here too have been excellent. And the staff overall is quite friendly and accommodating. Also nice is that they do take credit cards which some discount dry cleaners don't. I'm very happy to have found Dry Clean NOVA. I had been using a discount dry cleaner in Maryland whose quality and staff courtesy, etc. wasn't nearly as good. read more

I started using Dry Clean Nova when they opened up a new location off of Annandale Road in Falls Church. I liked the fact that they were open on Sundays to pick up clothes and drop off service. I had a few incidents when the hung sweaters on a hanger instead of folding them over a hanger. Everything was good for a about a month. I had them hem sleeves on a blouse. When I picked it up, the alterations were done the blouse was wrinkled. I asked them why didn't they pressed it and the manager replied "you didn't ask us to do that". One would think that is standard practice since they throw it in a bag with the ticket to perform the service. Several weeks later, I dropped off the same blouse to have it dry cleaned. The first time wearing it after this, I found this blouse had been shrunk. I immediately took it back and tried it on to show them and the said they could stretch it out. I kept asking how that would happen and at first the said it was the fabric. That didn't make sense so I continued to ask them to clarify what happened. Finally they admitted that they "washed" the blouse instead of performing the service, dry cleaning, that is paid for. They still wanted me to let them try to "stretch" it. I refused and the manager paid me for the cost of the blouse, $40, since I showed her that I had bought it 30 days prior to them shrinking it. Going forward I ALWAYS gave them clear directions, For example, dry clean DO NOT Wash, fold the sweater DO NOT hang, etc. About a month later had another incident. I dropped off dry cleaning and a pair of pants for them to hem. The dry cleaning was supposed to be ready the following day and the alteration a few days later. I went the same day, 6 pm, and they said my dry cleaning would have to be picked up at the Lee Highway location. I go to that location only to find my clothes were just hanging on the rack. I asked the cashier why they weren't ready and he said "we had to treat a stain". I told him no way that could be the case because the shirt he pointed to was brand new. I asked to speak to the manager and he said she wasn't in so he called her. After trying to explain the situation to her, she said she would call me the following day after she found out what happened. I ended up putting on one of the blouses to wear to work only to find they shrunk it. Of course, I ended up having to call her because I also wanted to alert of of the blouse situation. To her credit, she admitted the ticket was written up wrong so they thought everything should be ready at the same time the alterations were promised. Again, that didn't make sense to me because the dry cleaning was dropped off at 7 am so it should have been ready the same day. The manager offered me 20$ for my trouble. We agreed that I would come to her store on Saturday so I could collect my 20$ and I would also show her the blouse they shrunk. Finally she admitted they go by the tag on the garment not what the customer requests. She offered me 10 times the amount I paid for the service, which totaled 20$. She said she could give me store credit. I opted for the payout since I knew I wouldn't be using their service AGAIN. Use Dry Clean Nova at your own risk!!!!! read more

Only place that rips my clothes and claims no responsibility. I also had them repair a shirt they ripped and the way they stitched the shirt I had to throw it out because of the poor craftsmanship. Three strikes and I'm done with this business. read more

I used this establishment several times and have to say that 95% of the time there was an issue. During 4 months, I experienced an issued with broken or missing buttons, buttons, snagged sweaters, stretched out sweaters, etc. Marla, the manager, always tried to offer excuses however; I felt it was time to move on and provide insight to others that may be considering using Dry Clean Nova! read more

he reason for my complain that the dry cleaners threw my stuff away or donated it. I had came to pick my 20 shirts that I spend a lot of money on, they were my only dress shirts and 8 of them were polo dress shirts that were worth a a lot of money. I have been a customer with them for sometime and I did not think that they will ever throw my stuff away since I have been a loyal customer. I am so mad because they were my only dress shirts and its going to coast me over 600 dollars to replace them and also I have to waist my time shopping. Basically when I went to pick my shirts up the fist time they were not cleaned properly, so I had left them to be re cleaned. They were 10 shirts to begin then I added 10 moor and I told they that I wanted to pick all at the same time. Finally when I went to pick my shirts up. They told me that they cant find them and I have to come back another day to pick them up, So I came back then next day and I spoken to the manager and she told me that she donated my shirts. They were some workers listening to the conversation and they were laughing in the background and they made me feel very bad. Finally the manager said that she would speak to the owner, so she called on the phone and came back and she said that there is nothing that she can do. There was a lady on the side, she started to laugh when she herd that. I believe that she was the alteration lady. she thought it was funny and had no respect. All I wanted is my cloth back or money to buy new cloth. At the end after waiting couple of hours at the store and wasting my time finally I had gotten a chance to talk to the owner his name was Ming Nguyen and he said that he was the owner. And basically told me that they is nothing he can do and will not give me a penny and he was very arrogant and did not seem like he car much.
