We came here to take some photos for my parents' 50th Anniversary on a hot Saturday afternoon. The…read moreparking was mostly vacant. We only had enough time to go to the rose garden. It's pretty small, but you can find some interesting shots. There's the windmill, the pergola, a bench. There was some side location with a nice lawn and fountain, (California Nursery Park Museum & Office), but there was a guy smoking weed there, so it became unpleasant to take photos in the succulent area. The rose garden is on the right as you drive in to the nursery. From the parking lot, you'll have to walk back towards Niles Blvd. It's not Filoli, but hey, no one is stopping you from volunteering to make something better in your community. We need more doers and less complainers.

Leaving a long overdue review for Jon from his work on my yard in January. I'm so glad to see he's…read morestill active based on the current review and hope we can continue to support hard working local businesses such as Meyers Landscaping. For the past two years I was watering my lawn all the time, sometimes twice a day during Summer and whenever we vacationed or left home for a week I was always worried about the lawn dying and all the effort it would take to regrow. It started to become a chore rather than something enjoyable. We finally decided to get a Sprinkler System installed and so glad we found Jon. Communication was great right away with super fast replies on Yelp and I believe Jon even came the next day for an estimate. He finished the sprinkler system in less than a week which is what he quoted with excellent attention to detail and a very honest price. The complexity was we were doing concrete work at the time so there were two contractors at our house at the same time. He set me up with a 3 zone system, the front area is exposed to a lot of sun and I always struggled with keeping things growing there. The cool thing is the Rachio system he installed automatically chooses ideal times to water based on daily weather reports. You can see the "after" pictures which show my lawn is still nice and green despite the heat and now I get to water for pleasure instead of doing it as a task! I enjoyed bantering with Jon as well, he is a very knowledgeable guy and also very easygoing and chill to talk to.

Oh my goodness that's so long ago. Meek Park today is still as lovely as I remembered it, but even better because they now have the water fountain flowing. The grounds are maintained well with beautiful lush grass and pretty flowers. I also saw some cute cats in their garden area. They have a parking lot with plenty of spots. The playgound looks whimsy and elegant at the same time. I'm so happy that their poop bag stations have actual poop bags! I had poop bags with me, but it's just so helpful when a park also provides poop bags as well just in case people need them. I think they have a restroom area if I remember correctly. I know there was an area with plenty of picnic tables.

A very nice park, with the Meek Mansion as the centerpiece!!…read more Meek Mansion is a historic victorian house surrounded by gardens. The whole park is fenced off, with locking gates to the parking lot. There are many paved trails here, along with picnic areas and playgrounds. There are always people here walking the trail along the outer edge of the park. I have not yet been inside of the mansion, but this park is nice enough to go to on its own. But checking out the inside of this mansion is definitely on my to do list!!!!

A small and simple Japanese garden I can sum up in three words: peaceful, pretty, and pleasant. I spent some time on a Saturday afternoon nestled underneath the shade of a garden viewing structure with seating, a great spot for meditating. The trees and greenery were beautiful in July, and there was much to appreciate in the little details and features of the garden. And if that's not enough, there's more to explore at Shinn Park. Easy free parking, too.

I love Rosa and her son Ricardo. They are honest, dependable, work very hard, and are clear in…read moretheir communication. Most important, they provide quality work. After several failed attempts to find a landscaper who would plant our cherry blossom tree, they were the only ones who responded in our time of need. I spoke with them on the phone and they came to our house on the same day with an estimate and date to do the job. They were punctual and listened to me and my wife's suggestion on where to plant the tree. Once they were finished, we were so happy with their work that we decided to hire them to give our backyard a makeover since it had been neglected for decades due to our dogs wreaking havoc. We quickly learned that Rosa and Ricardo were honest and humble people but they were also very knowledgeable and experienced in their work. The first task for our backyard was to remove the steel fence which kept our crazy dogs from escaping. They accomplished that feat in a matter of a couple of hours. Then they returned a few days later to widen our concrete pathway and create a concrete foundation for our storage and shed. On the other side of our backyard, they laid out an automatic sprinkler system and laid sod to give our backyard that nice green look we haven't had since the 90s. Needless to say, we were overjoyed and felt blessed to have them do our backyard. If ever you need someone to transform your yard into your dreamscape, look no further. I keep running outside just to have a look see. Once again I invited Rosa and Ricardo to do my yard project. This time they did my entire front lawn. We negotiated a price within my budget and they immediately began the project. Although they were going to furnish the plants as well, I decided to get my own plants and they gave me recommendations. Rosa and Ricardo gave me samples to peruse for types of rocks and bark colors. They beautifully designed walk ways in the garden and installed a timed drip system. They asked me where to position the plants in the garden and gave me recommendations. Rosa and Ricardo are so creative and meticulous. They are polite and respectful of your property and extremely organized. They asked for my input on several phases of the project, but I liked having them in control..after all...they are the PROS. One thing for sure, if you let them take control of your project you will be exceptionally impressed with their phenomenal talents. After purchasing my plants Rosa and Ricardo gave me information about the size and care of each plant. I loved having them work their magic on my badly neglected front yard. When they were finished, I was sad to see them go. I was shocked that they finished so soon. I LOVE ROSA AND RICARDO. THEY ARE THE BOMB!!!
