We arrived just before 4pm but had called to say we may have been a little late for checkin. Trent one of the employees let my wife know that it gets crowded by 6pm. We were able to get there and setup in plenty of time and the brewery was jam packed with friendly people and music. Trent was highly accommodating on arrival and totally knowledgeable about all of the beers. We met Evan later on and he was also very welcoming. We found out later on that Evan and his Dad opened the place and congrats to them. All in all one of the best and friendliest Harvest Hosts that we have stayed at. Heading into the North Carolina mountains for the weekend and I picked Dry Falls as my last stop of the day because they allow overnight parking in their lot (you have to register through the RV program). It was a fabulous choice because it's a nice location. A converted garage complete with the sliding bay doors and inside, a big open space with lots of seating. There was a three-piece rock band blasting away loudly and many folks seemed to be enjoying it. In the back room with my laptop, a much more tolerable volume. On their internet and drinking a "425 Pils", it was a pleasant evening and then back to the campervan for the night. Inside and outside seating. Over the last 2 days I've tried all their beers except the IPAs. I'm just not a fan of IPAs. All the beers I tried were great, especially nice were the Mud Creek Milk Stout and the Brown Ale. The cherry Vanilla Milk Stout was good but a little too sweet for me. First time I ever tried a sour or fruity beer and they, Rhubarb Strawberry Blonde and the Milk Shake Blueberry Mango sour, were both very good and not too sweet. Friendly bartender and locals, good conversation. The second night was trivia, I didn't do very well but it was fun. I think the best thing about the place, though, is the owner lets RVs stay overnight. Because of this I was able to experience a couple of the local restaurants, the ones I enjoyed I left reviews on their sites. I was here last year & again this week and had several consistently great beers. This flight was most of the House Specials (see pic) and ALL were very very good. The Habañero had just the right hotness. Bartender Trent was the perfect host -- recommending what became my fav of the night (the Blushing Otter). Although it became quite busy with a weekly event, he remembered the Cherry Vanilla milk stout I wanted later to go with my dark chocolate bar -- a great combo. Did a couple samplers and had some full sized beer and everything was great. Sophisticated flavor profiles, for example a jalapeno IPA tasted like a normal IPA and then a few seconds after your sip, the jalapeno came though, I like surprises like that. They have a rotating food truck for food and the night we were there, there was musical bingo which was fun. Stopped in here on our brewer tour as we drove from the Charlotte area over to Asheville in March 2021. We hit 4 breweries in all. We only ordered beers. Wait staff was friendly and the beer was cold. We especially liked the wide open interior - high ceilings, lots of space. Did not fell cramped at all. Good variety of beers. Also got a sticker for my beer fridge and the wife got a long sleeve T. Of course, we went on a Friday afternoon so it was fairly empty to begin with. Look forward to going back someday. read more

I was in town from Florida and staying at a friend's cabin nearby. I believe we tried 7 different breweries while in NC and this was one of my favorites. Great beer and great band the night we were there. Food truck was the lobster truck from Shark Tank... and while it was quite pricey, the food was awesome. I love the crafts breweries that are in old fire stations or gas stations, cool vibe, and great garage doors. Keep up the great work... I hope to be back soon! read more

Initially I was intrigued by the fact this used to be an automotive body shop, based on the name and reviews I was sure I could find an excellent porter on their menu. The entire establishment is an open floor plan and the old shop area offers nothing but natural light through the bay doors. It appeared as if they also had a section of the building that could be used for private parties, etc. All of the seating were mainly high top tables, they have a large bar which you could stool up to as well, but my preference is the less traveled section. Since the entire area is wide open the sound travels maybe a little too well, but since we were still able to hold a conversation without yelling I was happy. I was able to find one of the best porters I have found yet, this porter was so smooth and tasty that it could be dangerous. I recommend an Uber ride back and forth. The bar staff do not tend to the tables, you will need to approach the bar and if your lucky you will have the opportunity to be helped by the wonderful bartender who helped me, she was a delight. I understand more and more establishments are allowing dogs now, which typically doesn't bother me, but when the dog is barking in a room where sound literally just bounces around?? A very welcoming, clean brewery. It stays busy on the weekends and for good reason! Inside and outdoor seating weather permitting. Dogs welcome. No real place for kids to play but there is usually a food truck outside for families who may want to get a bite to eat. We have never had a bad experience here. Each visit there has been plenty to pick from and we have enjoyed trying different brews each time. I'm an IPA drinker and they have quite a few, although IMO, the IPAs are more malty than hoppy- Drinkable but I wouldn't put any of the IPAs over 60 IBUs, although their menu would suggest otherwise. This is our favorite brewery to come to. In addition to beer and wine they have really good non-alcoholic options and food trucks every day. They occasionally have live music but it's never so loud that you can't hear the people you are sitting with. There is also a side room that can be used for overflow or private parties. Found this by Mistake after a hike with my dog and so thankful I did! Very dog friendly and welcomed us right into the tasting room. Plenty of other dog friends and water bowls to choose from with fantastic tables inside or outside on covered patio. Mexican food truck was serving dinner and it was very tasty and fast! Now the beer! I tried a flight and every single one I drank I liked. My favorite was their Mango beer which I never thought I would love so much but very unique flavors. The best vibe and location in Hendersonville though the beers could be better. The building, patio, food trucks, and parking are all best in class. Recently it seems all beers share a common underlying flavor profile, almost like they are brewed with extract and not grain, I hope this is not the case. I'm here almost weekly and each time I find I'm coming because of the food truck and not because of the beer, that should be reversed. read more

The atmosphere is cool, the wait staff super friendly... the beer? 2/5 at best. Every beer seems to have this underlying flavor profile that's very sweet and syrupy. Almost like they use some kind of sweetener/extract in all the beers. IPAs straight up tastes like drinking apple juice from concentrate, leaving a syrupy film on your pallet with very minimal hop. Nice new brewery in Hendo. I tried the brown and the red ale and both were very good. They have a large selection of beers and a ton of room. The front bar area is a large space, and then there is a back room with board games and a mini cornhole setup. You walk up to the bar for service and there were plenty of bartenders to keep it moving. We were there on a Saturday evening and it was pretty crowded (a good sign) and a band was getting ready to set up in the front. There are two big clear garage doors that open up to the sidewalk and a couple others on the side, so it will be nice in warmer weather, almost like you're sitting outside. No kitchen on site, but there was a food truck out front, so that's keeping with the trend of having rotating food trucks at breweries. Plenty of parking in the side lot, but I thought it could have been laid out a little better. Very cool place and a great addition to the Hendersonville brewery scene. read more

This place has a long way to go. The beer is drinkable but not great. The only thing great about it is the location. The staff is all very nice and helpful. BUT, it's a brewery and it comes down to one thing, THE BEER. They have a huge variety, and that there may be hurting them. Instead of making a few great beers, they have a large variety of mediocre beers. For now, it's definitely not the best in town. I will say this though, that there were a few other breweries in town who's beer was not that great in the beginning and overtime they have refined their recipes to make some good brew. I hope great things for this little brewery but they definitely have to step it up. Unfortunately for now I drive right past it and go to Southern Ap. or Blue Ghost. read more
