I went to get my hair done for my birthday and it felt so rushed. I have thicker hair and she kept doing big sections for my blowout and was pulling my hair so hard(I'm not tender headed) that it felt like I was doing neck excercises. I'm never the type to write a bad review but I spent $80 for it to look terrible after 30 minutes of leaving. Two stars solely for the location and the cleanliness of the space. I go to Drybar at least 1-2x/year and this was by far the worst experience I've had. I told my stylist I wanted a mix of the cosmo and the mai tai (loose fun curls) for my engagement photos. She was very kind and sweet, however, from the start she seemed very hesistant and uncomfortable. I felt like she was not very experienced. When she washed my hair she also made comments about how she has burns on her hands, so it felt very rushed and like my scalp did not get a full wash. She also did not dry it all the way, and then had to ask another stylist what she would recommend she do for curling my hair. By the end, she stated she was finished and I had to point out at least 2-3 areas that were still straight that she completely missed. For $70 with tip this was a complete waste. If I'm going to Drybar to get my hair done for an event, I expect the stylist to be more comfortable and experienced. I don't think I'll be back, at least not to this location. read more

I left with my hair looking awful. I asked for the "Southern Comfort" style and walked out with flat hair and tight Shirley Temple curls. There wasn't even a mirror nearby, so I couldn't see what the stylist was doing until it was too late. I guess the only "silver lining" (but one that also shows the poor quality of the work) is that it fell flat within 30 minutes. Truly terrible service and quality. I do not recommend this place at all. As a small side note (though minor compared to the bad hair), I asked for water twice and never got it. read more

Beware- If you have extensions, do not get your hair blown out here. If I could rate 0 stars I would. They charge $20 extra if you have extensions and they were so harsh on my hair that my extensions ripped out. I went back and forth about getting a refund because it ended up being almost a $100 for a blowout and then I never heard back from anyone. I had to rush into my hair salon to get them sewn back into my head. I just don't want anyone else to have this same experience. read more

This place is great, I made an appointment online as I was coming from out of town. I was greeted immediately when arriving. My stylist Whitney was extremely professional and did an AMAZING job. I got compliments all night long. My curls even looked good the follow day. She did such a good job, i I even came back the following week to see her again. BRIDES!!! Please do not go to this location for your wedding or use them for your bridal party!! The services they provided, and lack there of, resulted in a 2 hour delay on my wedding day that caused me to be unable to take bridal pictures and made me late for getting ready pictures. While those things alone would cause me to caution against this location, it is largely because of the way they were utterly unprofessional, lacked customer service in every capacity, and did not provide a refund for services they did not provide due to lack of staff experience and time. Myself (the bride), my mom, my flower girl, and four of my bridesmaids were scheduled to have our hair done either in an up do or a blow out. Due to the number of us we had to sign a contract. Upon arrival, the stylists made comments about us being their first bridal party and that they hadn't done up dos before. While the staff was kind, the lack of professionalism on behalf of the business to staff individuals who lacked experience for someone's wedding was appalling. My hair was supposed to take an hour and took two and a half almost three. I came into the appointment with pictures and a clear description of the simple updo I wanted. All my bridal party members were the same. I left with a hair style that wasn't at all what I asked for and an hour and a half late to kick off my wedding day. My hair had to be completely redone as did several of the bridesmaids. My sister's blow out was the opposite of what she asked for in every way. They couldn't figure out how to place a clip in my mom's thick, easily styled hair. My niece was supposed to have an up do and they only had time to curl it and put it in a pony tail but still charged us the $99 up do fee for an up do we had to do ourselves when we got to the venue. I could go on, but hopefully by this point you've canceled your appointment or at least changed locations. After my wedding we tried to get a refund, or at a minimum, a refund for the services we were not provided. They have been rude, lacked understanding, refused to take ownership, and banned my sister in law from coming back. She gets her hair done at dry bar, specifically this location, for a blow out every other week and because she asked for them to make the situation right in some way, she is banned. Never would I want any bride to go through the mess, stress, expense, and disappointment that I experienced. My friend was supposed to have herself, her mom and future mother in law, and all 11 of her bridesmaids get their hair done there. After seeing my hair, my bridesmaids hair, etc, she immediately canceled. read more

This was my first experience at this location, and will probably be my last. I had a scheduled appointment for Saturday, and I was not sat in the chair until 35 minutes after my appointment time. From that moment on, my appointment was extremely rushed, as if they were trying to use me to catch up with their off timing. From sitting at the wash basin to paying, I was done in 25 minutes, which is certainly not the norm for other blowout experiences I have had at other DryBar locations. My stylist was very nice, but she did not use any product in my hair until I asked about how a piece was laying and she put some strong hold hairspray in and finger twisted. Without any product in my hair, I knew the blowout wouldn't stick, and I mentioned that, but she said it would be fine given my texture. Not even 5 hours later, my blowout was all but gone, when past blowouts have lasted in my hair 2 -3 days. I go to get a blowout to enjoy an hour of pampering to myself, but in this instance, it was anything but pampering, and I hated that I was done and saw other clients who were sat well before me still getting their blowout. Brought pics for reference of a messy bun updo and quite literally got a giant tight knot on the top of my head that looked like pinhead from SNL. Nice clean space and great products though. If a stylist can't do something requested they should just say so I would have happily gotten a blowout. They offered someone else to fix my hair and didn't charge the full service as even the receptionist said to me that my hair was completely wrong. I come here because I know the end result will be good. I've tried several of the stylists and they've all been great. I think it's also reasonably priced. Parking around here can be difficult on weekends- although they have a lot behind the storefronts, it can be hard to find a space. I would also love if they opened at 7 as many other drybar locations do. A 7am appointment is really helpful for getting your hair done before work or before a big day. I also miss the days when you would be offered coffee (or champagne or soda) at the beginning of your appointment, hoping that comes back once the mask mandate is lifted! read more

I've been going to Drybar in SouthPark for over a year and I love it! This new location is less than 5 mins from my office so I'm thrilled to have two great options now! I had an appointment this week with Jennifer and she was fantastic! Great personality and perfect job with my blowout! The new location is lovely and in a great location, but the garage is awful. Allow yourself extra time for parking. (Btw...I chose not to deduct a star for parking because the draw of the location is that it's close to the train rail. I also now know to be prepared to spend a few minutes navigating the garage for a parking spot.) read more

This was my first blowout experience. My rating for experience was 4 but quality 3. Why a 4? The receptionist was outstanding. She was bubbly and personable. I appreciated the free coffee and tea offered to us. The place was super clean. It was a fun thing to do as a mother daughter outing. The shampoo service was great! Why a 3? Everyone I've ever spoken to raves about Drybar and how their blowouts last at least three days. Mine had almost fallen out completely after only twelve hours. I had gone out with a friend the evening after I got it done. I showed her the picture I took right after the blowout and she was shocked it looked like it did having had it done that day. Based on the price and how long it lasted, I don't know if I'll be back. Could be my hair just didn't hold it well. I loved it though when I left - it was bouncy with lots of volume! Blowout was okay- subpar- kind of hard to appreciate when they were out of the purple shampoo for my wash. Wouldn't have wasted the money had I known. Also it's their only service wash and dry so how do you not have the right shampoos? Someone needs to work on their ordering. read more

Enjoyed getting my hair throughly washed (because now I won't have to wash it all weekend) however, I asked for soft beachy waves, showed her a picture, and asked for minimal volume (ex the Mai-tai style). Will not be returning here, this is the story. I came in to get a blowout because my wonderful stylist was booked and I had plans with friends that night. I was given to an individual who clearly was not as experienced as others. I could tell in 30 seconds based on how they were brushing my hair that it wasn't going to turn out well, but against my better judgement, I told myself to give them the benefit of the doubt. So they take me to the bowl to wash, I paid extra for a 10 minute scalp massage to which I had to direct this individual on how and where to rub for the 3 minutes it took place. Now for the "blowout" portion, first, let me say, I have very curly hair. If you have curly hair you understand that certain procedures must take place to get the hair smooth and straight. As the stylist was removing the towel, a young lady walks up and ask if my stylist needed help, obviously because there was a lack of experience in what she was about to do, my stylist replied no and the other stylist said "let me know if you need help" and walked to the back. My stylist blow dried and round brushed curls into my hair. They had to keep re-twisting the curls every other minute because they were clearly falling out into a ball of poof. As my stylist was nearing ending, I mentioned it might be a good idea to straighten the top of my hair so it didn't look so poofy and perhaps run the wand through some parts that fell out. The wand never happened and the straighter didn't help the poofiness. I went to pay and the counter person was like, how do you like it. In my head I was like "bro, does it look great?" I said I wasn't pleased, he asked if I wanted to stay and have another stylist fix it, "yea John, that's what I want, I want to sit here for another hour while the stylist next to mine corrects the errors right in front of them, that would be super comfortable for me and my stylist" I said no and left. By the time I got to the car my hair was a disaster. I called and expressed how upset I was, he offered for me to come back in again, I said no for the obvious reason and because I had plans in a hour. John booked me for a correction appt the next day during the time my stylist wouldn't be there. I went in the next day and the stylist was like, ok, we are doing a dry style which I did agreed to because of time constraints but getting your hair styled when there is already tons of product on your hair isn't a great experience. She asked me for the inspo photo, and sat there and stared at me as I looked for it instead of taking my hair out of the braids and being productive with the time while I looked for the photo, so now I'm annoyed. As she's staring at me she said "are you ok" in the most condescending manner, in my head I was thinking " no Asia Im not ok, I've been here twice in less than 24 hours and I had to rearrange my entire Saturday to accommodate this visit, on top of that you are staring at me while I look for an inspo photo instead of, at the very least getting my hair prepped for the correction." Then John comes up to me and says " I just wanted to say hi and see if you were feeling better from yesterday." Wtf? Where are all these condescending people coming from? I feel fine John, but I'm annoyed that I'm sitting here again and having to engage with any of you at this point. Anyway, I tipped Asia, which put me in the whole 2.5 hours of my time and $140 for subpar work. She fixed my hair the best she could and it looks better. I ended up canceling on my plans the day before because I couldn't fix my hair timely to meet up with my friends. The whole thing was awful. All in all these people know their stylist and their skill sets. If they looked at my hair for 2 seconds they would have known to put me with someone with experience instead of someone who was equipped to perform the task at hand. While all of the stylists are amazing, the overall customer service is poor. After following all of the email communication about checking in online and waiting nearby/ in your car- it was almost 20 minutes past the appt. time that I finally called customer service who then told me what the email said not to do- go inside the lobby and let them know i was there. I was seated almost 35 minutes after my original appt time and left an hour after i was planning on leaving.
