The worse experience I have ever had at Paul Mitchell, the quality of the entire experience, professionalism, and disregard of request has become disrespectfully disgusting. I had a (while very sweet) very inexperienced young girl attempt to destroy my hair from the roots..I've been going here for years and never left, like looked in the mirror and literally cried or been THIS disappointed. I ALWAYS order a phase 2 they put me with a phase 1....always request NATURAL ETHNIC hair experienced...she was 18 with none...her words. I won't be making this hour and 30 minute trip to have my hair FALL OUT OF MY HEAD after this...I tried to go back and have them try to fix it and the woman I spoke to was so completely rude and just had no consideration for what they had done. I'm so disappointed with how the Paul Mitchell brand has come to be. I have actual handfuls of hair coming out of my head...Easter is ruined...my date night was ruined..the photo shoot I was prepaid to attend was ruined.

Hair dye left in my ears plus forehead after I left the salon.

This is the worst hair salon ever. I requested a dark red color and the stylist gave me purple hair. Plus, the stylist left hair dye inside my ears and it's dry on the top of my forehead. And the teachers were very unprofessional and rude to me, I will never be going here again.

Great place to try even they take their time to make sure have been done correctly nice job to my kids

other side. Completely gone.

In light of my first bad review of this establishment- I went back in to give this place another shot of trying to fix and mend my hair. They did just that ! My hair was choppy and uneven telling from the pictures , but after leaving to get it fixed my hair feels more light and soft and looks beautiful!! They evened it out and made my hair very face framing and complimenting. I would say if you are booking an appointment to this place go ahead and book " phase 2" , it's the more experienced side- better safe than sorry and Leslie the teacher is wonderful!

This is the worst hair salon I've ever been to. The workers don't even know how to follow a simple refrence picture.

Ask the Community - Paul Mitchell the School Charlotte

Was anyone able to reach the school via their appointment schedule or phone to schedule an appointment? I have been trying for 2 weeks with no luck. If anyone was able to successfully make an appointment, please share what time did you call. Thanks!

I call them all the time to make appointments and they call and text me for appointment reminders. Maybe they were on break due to the holidays.

I specifically asked the student that if she was unsure about anything I had asked, that she ask her educator for help. She didn't until the very end when she was doing some face framing & instead of gliding the scissors down the length of my hair to do this, she just chopped chunks into the front of my hair. The only way to salvage this was to cut my hair short to even this out. It was a terrible haircut & unfortunately I won't be going back. This is the second time this exact thing happened. While I understand they are students & you're taking that risk when you go, there just needs to be better supervision for the students. This girl who cut my hair was graduating in 4 wks & seemed like she was only 4 wks into the program. That's how bad this was. Also, I have been going here for probably 20 yrs so I k ow the drill. The caliber of students & educators has severely decreased. Back in the day the students & educators were much more professional & put together. Now when you go here, most of the students & educators look like they just rolled out of bed & grabbed anything on the floor. There is no professionalism. The educators used to come over and check in a few times during a visit. Now they come over at the beginning & the end & don't check in at all during the appt. This place used to be so much better than it is now. I would not recommend.

The trainee didn't speak much English but there was a translator but it was still painfully slow. The polish job was sub-par. The pedicure had taken REALLY long and I needed to get out of there so the instructor decided it was better to re-polish - after the trainee tried to fix a smudge she caused. She sprayed OIL BASED quick dry between the two coats of polish - guess what that did? A full 30 minutes later, after driving home with the fan blowing on my feet, the polish was still not dry! Also, they use some off-brand of polish that isn't heavily pigmented so the job looks like it was done with that cheap polish you get at Walgreens. Save your money and go somewhere else.

He gave me a great haircut and one of the best blowouts I've ever had. And I mean that. I have very long, thick, wavy textured hair and a blowout alone never cuts it for me.
