I turned again to YELP to locate a company to remediate the results and find the cause or source of the problem. Alan's Restoration had the highest number of 5-star reviews so I took a chance and contacted them - now wary of the highly rated YELP reviews. Turns out this outfit is worth their 5-stars - and then some. EXCELLENT customer service including accurate and frequent communication, fast response, quick turnaround, friendly people and most important - when a substantial problem (that they did not create) developed during the project - they came back after completion and corrected it the next day. And I'm sure it was probably at their expense. Not many companies like this around anymore. I know that for sure from nearly 70 years of experience with 50 in project management. It's a real crap shoot these days when contracting with anyone on YELP or pretty much anywhere else, as I unfortunately found out with that cable company that caused this entire problem. He quickly setup dehumidifier, fan and heavy-duty HEPA air purifier. In the same week, they came back with another helper Juan to perform tear out and sprayed fungicide to kill molds and checking for additional damage.
