He looked around, and asked me to call back so he could call his manager, finally found costume and then asked me if I want to reserve it. I had reserved it at least six weeks prior. Then he asked me if I had paid for it yes. He told me to bring in receipt. It was filthy!! Chunks of ??? hair, leaves. I took photos there before I left the shop. I told him this was unacceptable. He agreed and apologized. Said manager would be there when I brought it back and I could talk to her then. I took it home vacuumed the chunks, used a Lint roller to pick up bits the vacuum could not pick up. Sewed part of the hat back on to the head where threads had broken causing the hat to tilt at an odd angle partly covering the eyes. I brought it back with photographs to show manager how nasty it was. She was not there. On duty clerk lied to me about who the manager was. (Gee, I wonder why she does not want her name given out.) He called her and he said she said there was nothing to do about it because we had accepted it in that condition. I was scheduled for an event the next morning with a number of children for photos. What could I have done? A promise is a promise. I guess the owners/manager don't consider a mascot costume rental agreement a promise. Do NOT trust this place/these people.

They carry attire for men, women and kids. I hate buying jeans that don't fit, so it's great that they have a wide range of sizes and styles in stock that you can try on. I thought that prices are on the high side, but about what you'd expect for quality wear. Currently, winter clothes are on clearance. The staff friendly. We were greeted when we entered the store. I arrived about 30 minutes before closing, fully aware that time would be limited, but I was still welcomed warmly and treated with respect from the moment I walked in. I was especially impressed by their selection of plus-size formal gowns--it's not always easy to find such a variety, and I truly felt excited and confident browsing. With the help of a great consultant, I was able to find the perfect dress quickly and was out the door with just minutes to spare. The efficiency and kindness I experienced really stood out. The only downside for me was the tipping prompt at checkout. While I absolutely appreciate good service, I found the suggested tip percentages a bit excessive--especially considering the already significant cost of a formal gown. Tipping in a retail setting like this feels out of place, and I think a more modest or optional approach would better match the experience. That said, my overall experience was very positive, and I would absolutely recommend Sophia's to anyone looking for formalwear--especially if you're looking for inclusive sizing and attentive service.

Since then we have had continual good service from the other stores with prompt phone calls every time one of my groomsmen inputs measurements. We even got our wedding invites free of charge (a service they offer if you rent wedding tux) which saved us a HUGE amount of money Only downside is the shorted us on envelops but this was an easy fix and they provided us with them within a few days. The price was predicted to be $15. The pair of pants were ready in the time period quoted even though the Thanksgiving holiday happened during that time. The alterations were accurate and the new hem matched what the original one looked like.
