This is the WORST store and customer service. The girl calling herself a "manager", even though she had to go ASK the actual MANAGER to approve my exchange, was rude, and actually picking a fight with me. I've recently discovered Designer Shoe Warehouse, actually noticing that there is a store near where I work and another store close to where I live. This is review is for the Dunwoody DSW that is located near where I live. This store is in the Perimeter area in the Perimeter Village shopping center, and it has a big parking lot which means ample parking spaces. This is a big DSW, with lots of wide aisles so you don't have to worry about tripping over people while they're trying on shoes, or being stepped on while you're trying on shoes. There are shoes for the whole family (wait, I'm not sure if they have baby shoes, but, then, do babies really need to wear shoes?), and this is a big store that is well light throughout. I like that this is one of those stores where most adults can walk in and see which section interests them because the shelving isn't that tall. Single shoes are displayed as samples on the shelves, with the inventory for that shoe below in boxes so customers can easily locate the shoes size they need and try them on. The men's section is on the far left side of the store as you walk in. I was surprised with the various types (formal looking, casual, flip flops, sandals, boots, oxfords, etc.), quality (well made leather to shoes you know are going to only last one season), and prices (starting under $20 to over $100) of men's shoes. I found comfortable work shoes at decent prices. I'm glad I'm not one of those shoe hoarders, because I know I would've bought way too many pairs of shoes than I need. Just realize that Designer Shoe Warehouse is more warehouse than designer, since you won't find any high end designer shoes here. This place is definitely the store to come to when you want to save money vs quality department stores. Customers can save even more money by finding shoes that they like on clearance. The men's clearance racks are also on the left side but waaaaaaaay in the back. Shoes on sale, some at deep discounts, can be found in this section. There is only one checkout line that leads to multiple registers. Unfortunately, there were only one registers open with many people waiting in line when I was there. All of the employees were positive, professional & accommodating. Agreed with the inventory of products, especially the "higher" end shoes. The clearance/sale section was overflowing with shoes marked down by 70%. I made some returns only, yet will be back for in-store shopping & or pickup needs. Again, the team of four working right before Christmas worked well together. I appreciate the convenience to shop online & make in-store returns/exchanges if need be. read more

The sales associate used my 3X rewards perk without my permission and there is nothing that can be done to put it back. I was saving it for a big purchase in December. She chose to use it on my $34 purchase. Really!? It was Black Friday and I could tell by her demeanor she was in no mood to be there. Manager was apologetic but there was nothing she could do. Employees shouldn't take the liberty to use your perks as they please. I am not happy about this and guess what it's just too bad for me. So this location is a no for me. read more

What can improve needs to be more customer service friendly. Coming from my eye appointment on 5/6/25 after getting dilated. As a customer I really felt very uncomfortable. I asked a young woman who is a sales associate to my understanding. Could I try on a pair of balanceaga croc shoes on. She brought out the mate to the shoe. Once I try on the shoe I place the other one back into the box on shelf and I a bout to bring the mate to the one who helped me. I noticed this older man with glasses on who kept walking around from one isle to the other making sure I was not taking these shoes. Once he notice I no longer had them on. He said did you like them before I responded I noticed he walked right over to where I was sitting and reached over and took the shoe to the back. For him to do that really made me very upset and very emotional because my eyes, was recently dilated. Bad enough I could not see but bad enough I was debating weather if I should have gotten those shoes to cheer me up. Never I mean never again will ever patronize the dsw in dunwoody ever again even one of the customers said now that's def rude of him as a manager to do that. I've shopped at this location many times so it's hard to believe I've never done a review. I really like the inventory here most times . Unfortunately, on my recent visit I didn't purchase anything. There was a good amount of clearance inventory. The regular inventory was nice also. Maybe I'll find something the next time I visit this location in the Sandy Springs area. read more

Worst service experience, I simply needed to exchange shoes. The lady was abrasive and unprofessional. If I hadn't felt sorry for her, I'd have lost my composure. It was apparent she didn't want to be there and I get it, as we've all had jobs that made us feel that way. I ordered crocs online and did curbside pickup. I call and the employee says she can't find them and needs to find a manager. I'm on hold for 10 minutes and decide to walk inside because of the ridiculousness. I go to the online order pick up destination and the employee there goes and checks 1 of 5 cabinets and says she doesn't see it. I wait another 5 minutes for someone else to help me and this employee goes and checks not just 1 but 3 cabinets and she finds my crocs. Thank god for employee number 3 but I will never do curbside there again. read more

I've been waiting need of getting new walking shoes but never found the time to get to the Nike Outlet. Today I determined to drop by this DSW which is relatively close to my office. Parking is great. Prices are not as low as the outlet, but considering that you don't have to drive too far to get here.. it's a trade off. The selection is enough to go through and I was lucky to find my size in several shoes that I really liked. I decided on the pair in the picture because I thought they were cool. The staff is friendly, professional and not hovering. I like that I can get help when I need help without constantly being asked if I need help. read more

One day my boyfriend came home and was like, "Hey I got these shoes at the Designer Shoe Warehouse for like 40% off." I was actually really impressed with him for like going to some fancy store and getting a deal, until I saw the bag and put together the pieces.. DSW!! Oh DUH! Love that place! DSW is a fine store.. Not saying it's not fancy.. but they usually have this huuuge section that's like 30-70% off and they usually have a nice variety - including those for big feeted - erm, footed? - people like me. The best thing that ever happened to me? I got this kick@ss pair of boots for like 40% off. They were still probably twice as much as I would have considered spending before.. But they are gorgeous. Mid calf high, black, shiny, "don't F with me" things with laces and this big panel that wraps around front and buckles on the side.. But also a zipper so I can actually get my size 10s in those sleek things. I wore these babies to work and a much more stylish coworker complimented and asked where I found em. I told her DSW, guuurl, and wait 'til you hear the deal I got! She went out and bought the same style boots, but different color/material at the same discount like the next day. She didn't wear them to work but told me she got them and was actually thinking about returning them. (She cray.) I said, "hold up. What size are you?" I bet you'll never guess what she said. Size 10!! I said let me see those thangs. She brought them in the next day and I fell in love with a shoe for the second time in my life. Like loving twins. ..and I compensated her, and SHE rejoiced knowing she didn't have to drive back for a return. Now I have two pairs of these boots. I stopped in because of the torrential downpour from earlier today. I almost got convinced to buy an umbrella by the girl who greeted me, but my money-gripping ways told me to turn away from the clear dome-shaped rain protector. I walked around, in search of brown flats. I have been looking for nice, comfy brown flats for what seems like an eternity and though I have between 50-60 pairs of shoes, I have been very unlucky finding a pair that fits this profile. I failed today as well. There were some relatively attractive options in the store today, but no amazing deals. No amazing deals = no purchase. I work pretty close to this location and if I end up moving closer to the area, I may stop by this location more often in the future. I can't believe how many pairs of shoes I have purchased here...although it's not as big as the buckhead location, most of the sales people are very friendly. What woman does not love shoes right? So much selection and much nicer layout than the macy's clearance rack. :P That being said, go on Tuesdays or Wednesdays when they get their new stuff in so that you can have more selection AND get your size. :-) read more

I love DSW, ever since I stepped into the Pasadena CA location, I always found something stylish and comfortable. Moving to Atlanta, I felt right at home, as we passed by DSW on the way to dinner. I made it into the Dunwoody location today, and its been awhile since I could splurge. Found some white canvas converse, low tops and snatched some red laces so I stand out from the rest. Ronette rang me up and was extremely pleasant. Come to find out while giving her my area code & phone #, she just moved from Cali to ATL a month ago. Small world. It usually has a good assortment of 9.5 and 10 shoes, which is good, because other, more heavily-traffic'd locations never seem to. Came here yesterday on a shopping errand since SO needed new shoes. I wandered around while he was on the guys side. All the shoes were displayed nicely, but there were not many staff asking if you needed help despite the fact that there were quite a few of them on the sales floor. This seems to always be the case whenever I go to a DSW, so I am just at a point where i expect it (nonchalant service) now. Shoe selection is ok, however, the prices can be steep. read more

I really like this particular location, especially for men. They carry a more upscale selection of shoes. Great quality, (leather upper and soles). I am so tired of going to the shoe stores only to encounter rows of plastic/polyurethane shoes. Back in the day, leather shoes were the standard and now it seems that they are the exception. I asked a lady named Christine to help me out.. and she was so helpful. First we looked together for few minutes then i separated from her and then she comes to me after 10 minutes or so and told me she found a shoe.
