I did it. I braved the wilds of jean-dom. A die-hard jean devotee since a pair of splatter painted Guess ones that I convinced my mother to get me, c 1988 - I ventured into territory I swore I'd never enter. I've been dedicated to the styles - and brands (translation, the very spendy ones) - that work for my figure, which means in recent years I have been dedicated to never wear skinnies. Well. I got great new boots for Christmas (btw, not BR but BR does have a great shoe selection, and mid-season sales on them), and I thought I just miiiight try some skinnies on this body. Love! I also found a great semi-slouchy cap sleeved sweatshirt like top. Again, love. Right now, BR has lots of good layering pieces like this top, from long sleeve tees, medium and heavier sweaters . . . Big store, with great mens, womens and petites selections. Prices are reasonable to a bit high on most things, but the look is stylish basics with a kick, and again - the sales multiple times a year can really get you some scores (oh, the jewelry selection is particularly good on deals). Go, shop, and maybe try a new-to-you denim style. read more

I was a little disappointed that I had to step into the store. At this point, I do most of my shopping online and only step into the store if I need to try on a new size of something. Unfortunately, I had ordered a new suit online and they came with the magnetic security strips! So I had to make a trip to the store to get these things taken off. Located within the Lenox Hill shopping center this was the closest place near by me. It was the holiday season already so there were already tons of people here. Luckily this location had helpful sales agents who immediately addressed my concern which allowed me to then do some shopping. There are 2 stories in this store with the men's clothing on the bottom floor. Do you need to try something on? You'll need a sales agent to help you open the door. If you're a Banana Republic credit card holder, you'll need to make sure to remind them to get your 10% off by using the code: BRCARD. If they don't have your size in the store, you can also get it delivered to your house. The Banana Republic is located towards the end of one of the "wings" of the mall. I will admit that I like coming into the store at least once every 3 months since they start to have new clothes that have different cuts requiring an in person "try on." This location is a bit of a hassle with how many people come here but not a serious limiting reagent. read more

Petite ladies rejoice. This store has an entire section dedicated to your small bones. An ENTIRE SECTION! Not a few racks here and there, but an entire section for your small bones. There is size 0, size 00, and 00P, XS, XXS and even size 'H' for Hobbit. Fantastic for me, because, the wife can finally find something that fits and I do not have to be the inventory warehouse manager running back and forth the changing room to ask the helper to find a smaller size...That's great! AND, AND.. they have couches by the shoe section that is politely far enough but close enough to the fitting room.. Do you know what that means!! That means, this dude, can sit and chill, while she tries on outfits and checks it with me. I don't have to hover around the fitting room area anymore.. I came into the store on a weekday afternoon/evening and Goli was there to meet me at the door. She was very attentive and helpful in finding classic pieces for work. We had a lovely conversation the entire time and I felt grateful for her incredible service. She's very classy and well-dressed, and made me feel like I was shopping in a different time where people cultivated relationships with their clients. The whole experience was wonderful! read more

There is a small petite's department here with a small selection of various accessories. The associates here were pretty friendly. The floor is pretty clean and well organized. The sale rack was ok.. and the people that worked there left me alone to find my own stuff, without being annoyingly bothersome. I found a cute coat here, wasn't expecting atl to be so cold.. and I suprisingly found my coat here.. for 1/2 off! wahooo...enough said! BR in General, you find solid conservative working pieces. I'd give it a 5 except for the lady that rushed at us as soon as we got in the store. I'll detail that toward the end. I am very new to BR. I have never shopped here before but wanted to see if the store had any new dresses and I found some very nice ones at the front. I also wanted to see what they looked like in person and if the quality was as nice as the photos online. This is just a beautiful store as a whole. The staff on both levels are quite nice and let you shop without being overly aggressive (except the lady at the entrance that day). They seem to walk up to you gently vs. like the stereotype of a car salesman. I saw many things that I wanted for friends of mine and I'm sure they'll go there and purchase them in due time. I do wish they had personal shoppers to make things even easier. Pros: beautifully lit and a calm, not crazy atmosphere where you feel rushed. You can browse and take your time making your selections. I was put off by the woman in the gray cardigan at the front of the store on Saturday Feb 25th. I almost walked out because she was so overly aggressive I couldn't even get a word in. It was like she had a speech she needed to get out before we got away or something. We're in the store already, we're going to browse, give us a second and approach gently. Thankfully others weren't like that. She rather gave me an anxiety attack with that quick rush the second we stepped into the store. I will do my best to avoid her in future and see if I can be helped by someone else. I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when I went to the Banana Republic at Lennox mall with my daughter. Excellent customer service is alive & well with a southern touch. Store employees were attentive and helpful, but not pushy, Since I wasn't shopping for myself (my daughter was looking for professional wear), I had more than 2 hours to observe how store employees were treating other customers. When there were more than 3 people in line, the staff quickly opened another cash register. Employees were constantly circulating through out the store (not huddled in a corner talking to each other, one of my pet peeves), so it was easy to find help when needed. I can't remember the last time I witnessed that level of exceptional customer service. read more

I am not a regular BR girl. I am more of a UCB girl, but I was in need of a professional outfit a few weeks ago. As always BR has some of the cutest professional clothes. Their petite sizes fit me perfectly. I find they have a good size petite section (especially the Lenox location). The service changed since the last time I shopped at a BR. At least 5 people helped me while I was in the dressing room. Each person asked for my name, and even grabbed a few different shirts, jackets, and pants to try. I usually only need Mr. P's opinion, but it doesn't hurt to have someone else say that looks great (I know they are making a sale). If you have your student id, you receive an automatic 15% off. That's pretty good when you're buying a $60 shirt. That's my only gripe...their prices. UCB usually has 70% off sales, but I never catch those at BR. I wish they had more sales that actually made a difference in the price. When we finally checked out, one of the guys that helped me in the dressing room remembered my name. He was so sweet. I'm filling out that survey so I can get my 15% off and give him some props. In conclusion, pretty good variety for petites, great service, but high prices unless you have a coupon. read more

Really pleasantly surprised with the high level of customer service at the Lenox Banana Republic today. I went in seeking a pair of shorts I saw on a woman at Fernbank earlier today, and came out several hours and several amazing pieces later. I can't even tell you the last time I went into Banana and came out with loot--it's usually just too freakin expensive and preppy. But I think I may have found my new (old) store! I realized the other day I desperately needed some new shorts--hadn't purchased new ones since college, but as it turns out quarter-sized holes near the back pockets aren't as unnoticeable as I'd thought. I mean, I thought since I was so pale my skin would just sort of blend in, but...no. ANYway, got the cutest new shorts today--best fit, best fabric. And a white structured tank my hubs says is his favorite shirt he's seen on me in the ten years we've known each other. ,Nuff said. Fanned. The ladies helping me--Laura, Lauren, and several others--went above and beyond to help me choose flattering items, grabbed sizes for me with a smile, and were just so nice and professional. And I tried on a LOT. Highly recommend, will be back for sure! PS: They have a special promo this week for an extra 10% off everything for cardholders. Plus, you get an additional 25% off on everything in the store that's been marked down. And there was a TON on sale, so it wasn't as expensive as I thought it'd be. read more

Staff was helpful just on my very first trip here - ever after - 4-5 times, they are extremely lazy, not bothering to find out if a certain style is available in my size. One woman sent me to the wrong section of the store three times, so that I was going in circles looking for crop pants. Silly, really. It annoyed me that she was the giggling about it - when I didn't think it funny. Staff is more helpful at the Perimeter location, but they have less selection - not much from the heritage or Monogram collection. Some of the employees at this location are arrogant/rude. The nice woman who helped on my first trip here no longer works there. Better experience shopping online. read more

Just like any typical clothing store, the employees are harder to find than a passenger pigeon (it's extinct by the way). No greeting, no offer to help until you actually pick something up, and then it's pretty forceful selling but I do give it three stars for how stylish the clothes are and the chance to pick up a great bargain off of the sale rack. I was able to get a pair of $130 pants for $36. As for the checkout experience, talk about Grumpy McGrumpster. If you're not a people person, why work in retail? It's the most people person oriented job out there. You deal with "customer" service, customers are usually people. The cashier was pretty unfriendly to the customers in front of me but at least nice to me since I kill them with kindness. I was pretty disappointed in the sale rack as a whole. Not a lot of items are significant savings. Luckily the pants I found were just sitting out in the front and caught my eye. Otherwise, I wasn't impressed. I think I'll make the trip to the outlets before the school year starts for the big deals. read more

I'm actually pretty surprised by all the complaints at this store, as I consider it one of the best Bananas I've been in (and I've been in A LOT.) Best selection in Atlanta, great sales, and the sales people are generally helpful. My boyfriend really likes the mens' section downstairs, as it's really large and has a good selection. This specific Banana sometimes has a few "weird" sizes in stock, like sweaters in Long and 32/36 pants. (I have a tall boyfriend. It's a thing.) I also enjoy that this Banana has a good petite section. I can't wear any petites but dresses, but I like that the option is there. I come here a lot, because I live 50/50 between this and Perimeter. The Perimeter Banana has very little selection in comparison. I've encountered maybe ONE employee with an attitude, but most of the employees are helpful and genial. read more

I was visiting in the area, and decided to come to this mall. I wasn't planning on making any large purchases because the tax is a lot more than where I am from. However, I decided to go in and I am glad I did. They had an amazing sale, which was an additional 40% off of clearance. I picked up many pants and several dresses. I took them to the dressing room to try them on. Fortunately, most of everything fit except there was makeup on one of that dresses. A very friendly and sweet girl named Kiesza decided to help me and she had them pull another size in the same dress. Unfortunately, they did not have it, or they could not find it but she was so sweet and trying to help me out. I ended up purchasing the dress anyway, because it was so inexpensive. I should be I should be picking it up from the dry cleaner tomorrow since I am back home. I hope the makeup came off! I shop at the local mall where I live, and the banana republic there is nice, but the people are not always the most attentive. When I am back in the area, I will definitely come back here to shop and say hello to the staff. The cashier, I cannot remember her name, but she was so sweet, and kind. I even ran back to get a different size and she waited for me. I did let them know how happy I was with my experience there, and I was so glad that I decided to go in that day! read more

I was pretty disappointed in my experience with this Banana when I went last weekend. I love their clothing since it caters to tall sizes in pants (which are great for work) and they have quality items that hold up well over time (which also helps justify the expense in the first place). Plus they usually have pretty good deals - this weekend it was 40% off all full priced merchandise. Score! Unfortunately, the customer service could definitely use a little work here. I found a really pretty chambray dress that was the perfect knee length (hard to find for a 6'0" tall girl like myself) but they didn't have my size in stock. I first went to an associate who was behind one of the registers which was closed grabbing some hangers. I asked for her assistance and she totally blew me off. "Everything we have is out, so no we don't have it." As someone who worked in retail management, I understand that you may not have more in the back, but you have to at least make the customer feel like they matter and you're willing to see if the item is somewhere it shouldn't be. She could have easily looked in the computer to see if they had the size at all (maybe it was on a dressing room go-back rack? Maybe someone had decided not to get it after all and left it at the register?). Either way - it would have been nice to know that they for sure did not carry it. So the first associate blows me off and walks away without any help. Next I go to a different associate that seems nicer hoping for a different experience. Nope. This one proceed to tell me that they don't typically carry my size in the department store's location but I can always look online to see if I can find it and order it for myself. No offer to look online to see if it comes in my size, no offer to help me see if another store in the area carries it , nothing. She just makes me feel like I'm a too-tall girl who is too big to fit in the clothing they carry! Thanks but no thanks. I am an avid Banana shopper online but if they're going to treat me as such when I visit their stores, I will be happy to take my money elsewhere. read more

This store is bleh. So many price tags are actually missing from the product, so it's kind of a surprise when you walk up to the register unless they have another one of the same product sitting next to it. Even then, the staff doesn't always know their product very well and can have an issue typing in the numbers or guessing at the prices. But, at the same time, this leads to a potential bonus if you can talk the person running the register that the price is something different or possibly take off another tag and say that it fell off. Maybe get a bonus out of them. (don't do this. It is immoral). read more

The major awesome points for Banana Republic go to the friendly, helpful staff. Other than that, the prices are a bit high and I rarely ever find anything that I love unless I'm shopping for a job interview or a funeral. I do have a few winter essentials from here, though. My shopping experiences at the Lenox location have always far exceeded the experience at the Atlantic Station location. Not only is the selection at the Lenox store far greater than Atlantic Station, the customer service is truly superior at Lenox. There have been several occasions that I have been in the Atlantic Station location and was never approached by any of the workers in the store. However, the workers at the Lenox location have always gone above and beyond to make my shopping experience exceptional. From the workers on the floor, to the supervisors and the managers, the Lenox team definitely has the customer service thing mastered. In the future, I will not even waste my time entering the Atlantic Station store. I will just make my way over to Lenox for the shopping experience that I have come to cherish the Lenox store for. read more

I am a longtime customer of BR, interesting styles, though not much variety, and pretty good quality. However, they have a sale promotion practice that is just plain dishonest, a sort of bait and switch. In large print, signs all over the store read "take an additional 40% off all markdowns." Quite a good deal. However on arriving at checkout with the carefully selected items, one learns that in "mice type" barely visible to the naked eye is written "on the lesser of two items." Even though I, like the customer in front of me, cheerfully told them they could keep all the stuff, I feel robbed of precious time. I won't return soon. read more

Let me start by saying that I do not like malls nor shopping overall. Having said this I was appalled today when I visited the Banana Republic store at Lenox and when I asked for assistance in the men's store to find a jacket my size the sales associate indicated he was "off the clock"...Really? If that is the case what was he doing walking in the sales floor??!! I like the store and the clothes they carry yet this level of non-existent customer service is not acceptable in a store that is seeking to position itself as a premium clothing outlet. The one sales associate that was "on the clock" was not very helpful either - pretty pathetic if you ask me. This BR is extremely disappointing. Not only when you walk in can you not identify who is an employee to help you because they are all either hanging out in the fitting room or are dressed like they are just stopping in after a trip to Forever 21 and wearing the finest clothes fit for a concert going teen. No one wanted to help me, in fact avoided me when I had about $400 worth of merchandise in my hand and looking for assistance. They had sale signs on tables of merchandise not actually on sale. I was insulted and called stupid by the young girl behind the register, because I didn't read the fine print (which I did read and it did not mention exclusions). I decided not to go through with my purchase. I can find somewhere else to spend $90 on pants where I am actually approached to be helped, and treated respectfully by someone who isn't disheveled and ACTUALLY wearing BR clothing. This place is a nightmare, DO NOT shop here!!!! read more
